Beautiful floorplan,…read moreconvenient location, and our maintenance guy Eddie is always kind, personable, and truly the face of the community. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been very discouraging. After transferring into a flat unit, I experienced issues almost immediately. I filed complaints and had to follow up multiple times before finally getting a response weeks later. Lease renewals have also been mishandled several times, creating unnecessary stress. Overall, communication is poor, issues go unresolved, and I've noticed a high turnover rate. Most reviews are from a while ago, so I want future renters to know what's happening now. Be cautious, especially if considering a flat unit. Ask very specific questions and tour that specific unit before signing.

They raised my rent from $2,135 and after my 1yr lease expired offered $2,205 or month to month $2,300 plus high rate for utilities also. I am a single parent living here with my young daughter. I completed online a renewal offer and they are claiming "it didn't get accepted" to their benefit nobody attempted to notify me of documents needed to sign I did not get any email or phone calls. Only an email confirming my renewal offer of $2,205. Yet they are trying to bill me $2,300. They had a change of property management/online portal system which is useless. Nobody responds, hardly ever is an actual person is in the leasing office. You call the office and no response. All of this benefits to the company, greed. I want anyone and everyone to know what really happens here.

TL;DR: If you spend a lot of time at home or are sensitive to noise, I would not recommend living…read morehere unless you're able to secure a second-floor unit. Noise between units is significant. I've had two different upstairs neighbors, and in both cases late-night noises have been common--frequent stomping, doors slamming, and regular household activities such as running the garbage disposal, cooking, and doing dishes as late as 3:00 AM. For anyone who values sleep, this can be challenging. The property does have policies, including quiet hours and a no-smoking policy, but these rules do not appear to be consistently enforced. Property management also appears to be understaffed and is rarely available on-site, which makes it difficult to address ongoing concerns in a timely manner. That said, there are several positives. The location is convenient and close to downtown, while the surrounding neighborhood itself is generally quiet. The grounds and landscaping are well maintained, the property is very pet-friendly, and pricing is fairly reasonable for the amenities. Secure parking is a plus, and the maintenance team has been responsive and helpful whenever issues arise.

There is a cute little dog run where you can take your pets to play and also a dog bath on property. The Sequoia team here always goes above and beyond. I would like to share my terrible experience with Park Lafayette Apartments and Klingbeil Property…read moreManagement. Long story short, if you're looking for a complex that will take your money and blatantly ignore you, this is the place for you. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FREE MONTH OF RENT promotion. There is a clear catch. I will begin with this. During the process of signing my lease, I was provided with the absolute bare minimum in terms of move-in materials and resources. I was given a set of keys and a parking pass, that is all. A few weeks into my occupancy, the locks stopped working. Given that it was 9 p.m., and I had work the next day, my ONLY option was to contact an emergency locksmith to change the locks. I was unaware of a maintenance hotline, as stated before the leasing agents executed only a fraction of their duties after I signed my lease. I kindly reached out to Erica about rectifying the situation, in which their response time was excessive. I simply wanted to be refunded due to this unit's faulty locks. After weeks of back-and-forth (mind you, I initiated every conversation), they told me that they would not refund my $280 expense that I incurred. Not to mention, the state of the property is in disrepair. My unit is in shambles, and the ongoing list of issues with my unit has become extensive. I certainly hope that the next nine months go by quickly; I CANNOT wait to NOT call Park Lafayette Apartments home. It is clear that staff and management do not have the comfort or safety of their residents as a priority. Klingbeil property management, when you are ready to do the right thing and rectify this situation, you know how to contact me.

The mini storage unit in the car port parking gets broken into once or twice a month the first three years, until they installed camera's which I'm not certain actually works. So I wouldn't trust the wooden storage. Maintenance usually has a week or less turnaround time, but a bit unreliable during the summer months. During this recent heatwave, our A/C unit decided to break and we asked the apartment manager to get someone to try and repair it, and supposedly can't find anyone for 3 days. The worst part, is they won't come until the middle of the heat wave when it's already over 105 degrees. Make sure you look for an apartment management that's always ahead and checks your HVAC unit once a year, because this could happen to you. Hope our family gets through this heatwave, as we're not even halfway through it.

While I was pregnant and raising a toddler, the managers here repeatedly ignored my maintenance requests about BLACK MOLD growing continuously in our apartment. Every ticket I submitted was canceled -- putting my family at serious risk. When I first moved in I waited over a year just for a parking spot. I had to park across the street or in the movie theatre parking lot where my car was broken into about 3 times ( even tho I had nothing inside my car ) which resulted in me having to pay to get my window fixed. There's NEVER a manager in the office during office hours and if they are they basically just shrug you off. Their maintained workers seem like some kids that just graduated high school and don't know AT ALL what they were doing. let's not talk about the beetles and ROACHES continuously roaming through the halls all day long. My rent was 2195$ for a 1 bed 1 bathroom apartment. NOT including utilities that change monthly. So even tho they advertise your rent to be 1 price expect to pay at least another 100-200$ on top of that! Their washers and dryers are always broken and just to be able to pay your rent online you have to pay another 65$ fee. Then, when I moved out, they charged me over $1,000 for "cleaning and repairs" -- even though I spent an entire week deep cleaning, and nothing was damaged. This is not just unethical -- it's dangerous and exploitative. DO NOT LIVE HERE. This play is a sorry excuse for a business !
