Teachers= A Campus = A Administration= C What lackluster leadership at the top. Jenifer Hegenbart and Renee Semik, this is for you. Throughout the distance learning, you have simultaneously dragged your feet in expediting re-opening the campus and have remained radio silent on any progress (or lack thereof) pertaining to re-opening towards the small community at large. The tactic comes off as smug and indifferent. That being said, the only push back the community and tax paying has is to keep the inaction of your leadership in mind in the future when tax proposals for the school district or teachers union make their way to the ballots. I, for one, will never again vote to pass any measure or law that increases budget for operation. You simply don't deserve the additional funding. To reiterate, the teachers have been excellent. This is not an indictment on them in any way, shape or form. The head of the fish stinks and I hope it does not infect the body.

The teacher Mrs. J is exactly like Ms. Mention from the Little Princess. Not warm at all to her students. My son came home several times during the year and stated that he hated himself and wanted to kill himself. I'd recommend the school for regular Ed, but steer clear for special education. Another parents words for her are "if she smiles, her face will crack". This may sound harsh, but sadly it's true. We've loved every other special education class that we've been in and every other school we've been to.

They help every kid grow at their own pace, yet expect 'good citizenship' and I have seen so many kids blossom there. Both Jody and Gail cultivate a nurturing, explorative, and positive environment you cannot find anywhere else. Nestled in the countryside between Sebastopol and Santa Rosa, Plum Oaks is the perfect setting for your kids to learn and explore their surroundings. Preschool age educational activities, gardening, feeding animals, and outdoor play are just a few of the things your child will experience at Plum Oaks. Both Gail and Jody are "toddler whispers" and know how to positively communicate with your child for their age level. My husband and I have learned a lot from both of them. Now that our boys entered elementary school, we feel that Plum Oaks helped prepare them for the transition. We miss the entire Plum Oaks family and couldn't recommend their childcare highly enough. They are so in-tune and attentive and so patient! I have learned so much from both of them and have received so much encouragement with my parenting style. Their communication is amazing, you will always know what's going on in your child's world over there. They are also extremely respectful and reliable when it comes to food allergies. My son excelled at Plum Oaks and we are so grateful for our time there.

My daughter was in…read moreprivate school since kindergarten (Prospect Sierra in the East Bay) so we weren't sure what the change would be, if any. West County/Analy High School exceeded our expectations. Not only are the teachers outstanding, their athletic department and the staff are dedicated professionals. I was able to attend her classes during the pandemic (spying in the background on zoom classes LOL) and her teachers were so kind, interesting, and helpful during that crises. Lots of wonderful families help out every year and make it a great place for learning and being a part of a community. She graduates this year with first acceptance into every university she applied to. A huge Thank you to West County/Analy High School!
