They were very accommodating! We unfortunately had an emergency at home and could not stay but the short time we did spend here was great!

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They ARE very pet friendly, (we have two cats and a dog) you just have to clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash. The bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. The grounds are very well maintained and they have pump out service for a small fee (if you get a site that doesn't have septic) and RV service and repair. They installed our new air conditioner and did a fantastic job. They also have fun events here. We will be staying here every time we come to Ohio. Don't be fooled by a poor review. This park is awesome. You should definitely check it out.

To the service clowns at Poor farmers,…read more I would like to thank you for your poor service you did to our camper but I can't but I would like to remind you of the return call we got from the so called manager. We are adults here and know that a new camper does not get damaged all by itself! We trusted you to do a job professionally and you failed miserably. Yes we are the Bauser's that had the new warranty fridge work done at your so called place of business. Did I say NEW WARRANTY WORK??? Meaning new camper!!! Us as adults are telling you that your service people messes up our camper inside wall from the fridge installation and must I remind you we are the customer! And you call us and tell us your people done nothing and there is nothing you can do about it??? Us being the customer and knowing we have a new product with no problems with our camper when we let you have it to work on it an now we have damaged walls done by your people. Do you understand this now or do I need to say it again? Now I do know personally some others that have had their campers also messed up by your place of business. Does this sound like a rerun to you also hearing if from others who trusted you??? That means that your track record is not real good on messing up campers at your business. I can also send a copy of email to corp Coachman and let them know what kind of business you are running here along with one to the BBB plus plaster a copy on facebook and Yelp. If you don't see us as honest customers of yours I promise you the next person you will hear from will be from the BBB and Coachman. This is a real shame to have to go this way to try and get through to you. I'm also sending a copy of this to some emails of mine so to make forwarding easy to all concerned party's in this. I really don't know why I'm even trying to give you a chance to make this right except this is part of the process. May I also remind you the we have your last phone message to us telling us you are not going to do anything about it. The rest is up to you how this gets handled. And you sir have a great day today. If it wasn't for a permanent guest on pulling in, we would've badly damaged the motorhome with an overhang limb. We arrived at night and were given a spot for a week. We were towing a jeep and could not even turn into our spot, even though we had rented a pull through spot. And then the spot was not level, and there was mud all around, which got tracked into our motorhome. It seemed awful expensive being that this is the off-season and we stayed for a week. The campsite is the closest one to our daughter's house and we may have to come again, but it's not a place that we really like the only really positive note was that we could walk our dog in their wooded area which has paths and it is fairly large.

While it's too late for the mass departure of annual members this year, I hope this signals that Cross Creek is heading in the right direction. There are three certainties in life: death, taxes, and Cross Creek raising its rates every year. After eight years of annual camping, our family--along with eight others--made the decision not to renew. Over the years at Cross Creek, we've built lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories, but with skyrocketing prices and the campground's steady decline, we were left with no choice. The turning point came when Cross Creek was acquired by Apple Brook. Almost immediately, staffing was reduced, and the amenities that once made it a premier destination were sold off. What was once a AAA-rated resort quickly deteriorated into a glorified state park. The signs of decline were evident: flowerbeds overgrown with weeds, neglected campsites, and unattended weekend lots. Some areas were so overgrown last year with weeds, it was hard to tell where the gravel ended and the grass began. Safety also became a growing concern during the off season as campers weren't vetted and transients sneaked into the park freely to use the restrooms, showers, washers and dryers. The weekend activities that once defined the campground--such as Harry Potter weekends, haunted houses, escape rooms, and top-tier live music--were replaced with rock painting, karaoke, and second rate bands. When I reached out to the front office two years ago to express my concerns and request a conversation with the owner, I was told he had no interest in speaking with us. The message was clear: with a long waitlist, we were replaceable. When I brought up the decline in activities and amenities, I was told that it was up to the annual campers to organize them--an absurd response. If you're considering Apple Brook, know that it is not the Cross Creek of the past. The AAA-rated resort is gone, replaced by a contractor campground with annual rate hikes and diminishing activities. If you're looking for a seasonal or annual spot, be prepared for a large price increase each year with fewer and fewer amenities. Apple Brook has taken its loyal annual and seasonal campers for granted, and as a result, eight families have either left or will leave in just the next few months. My hope with this review is that Apple Brook management sees this and takes action to restore Cross Creek to the incredible destination it once was.

We had a great trip, but mind the timing of when you go!…read more Specifically, the experience of Float Troy was really cool. The concept is really neat and you can use the raft for reaching your tent to explore the water ways. Make sure to bring a portable fan with you as the air can get stagnant and muggy in the tent if there is no breeze. As for the timing, we decided to go on the 4th of July because we thought it would be cool to see the fireworks out on the water. What we did not anticipate, however, was just how much the people of Troy seem to like their fireworks. People were setting them off over and around the water well past midnight. If you like to stay up late, this may not be a problem for you, but if you're like us and like to be asleep when the next day begins, you may want to pick a different date. Overall, I would highly recommend trying this out to experience it for yourself!

Each tent is tethered several times in the shallow 2.5 feet deep river passage. You're not going anywhere! Locals suggested K's Hamburger shop and Grandpa Joe's Candy buffet- both were delicious! Wrap up everything in your biggest garbage bag and enjoy the paddle out to your own floating tent! Floating fire pits are first come first serve, highly recommend a four hour fire log to avoid a headache with getting a traditional fire started (while floating). Only downfall, the train. It came through a few times at night which definitely woke us up. It's all part of the experience, maybe we just booked a busy train night. This is one of those things that you just have to try once! Plan to get a teeny bit wet while transferring items or go all in and enjoy a swim on the Great Miami!

Mike was our host, he was great, we talked, laughed, and he was not aggressive in any way. We ended up not signing up to be a member, because it is not a fit for us right now. If you already own a RV, it's probably worth looking into. Now for the negative.... We are told we would get a $50 gift card for visiting, we paid $40 for the visit.... We also were told we would get 2 nights a cabin with no blackout dates, however that was not true. We had to book between April and November. In closing, if you have a RV and travel slot, it's probably worthwhile, but if not, it's a bad marketing attempt!

This campground was a nice one to try out our new camper and was spacious. There were 3 different lakes and they had a playground our one year old loved, as well as a putt putt and indoor arcade. We listened to their presentation and it seems like something we would like to purchase in the future, but not doable with our current situation. Never once did they make us feel pressured nor did they give us a hard time to try to get us to buy the membership, which was appreciated. All the staff we talked to were super friendly and helpful.
