As soon as I saw an advertisement for this, I knew I had to try this one of a kind experience. It did not disappoint! Matt was helpful throughout the whole process, from booking to arrival to check out. The tent was clean and a good size, and the rafts used to paddle out to the tents were more stable than I expected, which was great! The little town of Troy is very cute to check out during your stay too. For the price and experience, I would definitely recommend checking this out!

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They ARE very pet friendly, (we have two cats and a dog) you just have to clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash. The bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. The grounds are very well maintained and they have pump out service for a small fee (if you get a site that doesn't have septic) and RV service and repair. They installed our new air conditioner and did a fantastic job. They also have fun events here. We will be staying here every time we come to Ohio. Don't be fooled by a poor review. This park is awesome. You should definitely check it out.

To the service clowns at Poor farmers,…read more I would like to thank you for your poor service you did to our camper but I can't but I would like to remind you of the return call we got from the so called manager. We are adults here and know that a new camper does not get damaged all by itself! We trusted you to do a job professionally and you failed miserably. Yes we are the Bauser's that had the new warranty fridge work done at your so called place of business. Did I say NEW WARRANTY WORK??? Meaning new camper!!! Us as adults are telling you that your service people messes up our camper inside wall from the fridge installation and must I remind you we are the customer! And you call us and tell us your people done nothing and there is nothing you can do about it??? Us being the customer and knowing we have a new product with no problems with our camper when we let you have it to work on it an now we have damaged walls done by your people. Do you understand this now or do I need to say it again? Now I do know personally some others that have had their campers also messed up by your place of business. Does this sound like a rerun to you also hearing if from others who trusted you??? That means that your track record is not real good on messing up campers at your business. I can also send a copy of email to corp Coachman and let them know what kind of business you are running here along with one to the BBB plus plaster a copy on facebook and Yelp. If you don't see us as honest customers of yours I promise you the next person you will hear from will be from the BBB and Coachman. This is a real shame to have to go this way to try and get through to you. I'm also sending a copy of this to some emails of mine so to make forwarding easy to all concerned party's in this. I really don't know why I'm even trying to give you a chance to make this right except this is part of the process. May I also remind you the we have your last phone message to us telling us you are not going to do anything about it. The rest is up to you how this gets handled. And you sir have a great day today. SO MUCH to see/do here that you'll need several visits (at least!!) to even scratch the surface. There's so much to see/do every season, it's tough to know where to start... Bike, fish, hike, picnic, take zillions of pictures, watch for deer and other "residents," and more!! Be sure to view the MASSIVE dam, it's impressive!! Don't miss seeing what there is to see at all of the separate entrances, definitely something for EVERYONE!! Next time, I'm bringing my bike!! Enjoy!!

Starting from an access trail next to the dam, we went counter clockwise , linking the yellow and orange trails. We probably did not get the full "experience" since we were there in the winter when the leaves were off the trees and the river level was low-ish. I am looking forward to coming back in other seasons. Two words of warning: Remember that the trails can be muddy due snowmelt, even if the snow has been gone for a few days. Saw several people out there today whose originally white sneakers are probably a few shades of darker brown now. Also, mud will be thicker and deeper down near the river where soil will have been pushed down the river during previous floods.

Our expectations were a little lower because it was end of season, temporary staff returning to school and cooler weather. It seems the place has new owners since our 2020 visit. The new owners have embraced technology and have added text messaging info/reminders to the easy online reservations. Camping in a pop up with no toilet or showers we appreciate clean shower/bathrooms with plenty of hot water. They have both here! My only suggestion, on the building with 2 showers and one bathroom (separate doors) please put a larger HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE sign on the ADA complaint shower. Its a nice shower, but I seldom got to use it as a group of traveling together in a nearby cabin used it as their private bathroom most of the time. Great stay, even with the pool being closed for the season (late Oct) and limited activities. Will definitely come back again.

The staff were also super friendly when ridiculous laundry concerns happen: for no good reason my quarter jammed in the washer slot, but Jeremy managed to deal with it quickly. When my ball jar shattered (great for holding laundry pods at home, but a foolish of me to take on the road), the office staff (A- name I forgot, but prompt and even pleasant) heard and came running. If you need help, it's here. You can rent a swan paddle boat or golf cart, but the pool (10-8 pm) and sluice are incredible. I didn't see a K9 Kamp but our pup loved walking around the ponds. The gazebos near the entry definitely set the tone for this restful visit. Pollinating flowers are all around! The firewood was marked up, so maybe bring your own certified Ohio firewood. This is a KOA Holiday but with Journey proximity since you are very close to the interstate but have minimal interstate sounds, and it isn't an expedition to find the park. The staff are present all over, and the store is a great amenity/souvenir mix. This was a recommended stop, and we're glad we did. We would skip the firewood (park markup), but it was quickly delivered to our site at least.

Whitewater State Park was the 16th state park in Indiana and was founded in 1949. It's actually the third largest. It has 200 acre Whitewater Lake along with shoreline hiking, flat-water boating, swimming, fishing, and camping opportunities. It has 9 miles of horseback riding trails. The park area was originally purchased by Union, Fayette, Franklin, and Wayne counties to serve as a memorial for those lost during World War II. Additional activities include picnic areas with shelters (reservations required), interpretive naturalist services, 1 boat launch ramp at Whitewater Lake, bridle trails, cabins, fishing/ice fishing, hiking trails, canoe/paddleboat/rowboat rentals, swimming, and two marinas. Camping includes 236 electric sites, 45 non-electric, and 37 horsemen's primitive sites. There's a camp store, dumping station, and youth tent area. There are five hiking trails - all are considered moderate in difficulty. They range from 1-2.7 miles in length, though at least one also has a short loop. There really isn't a single trail that I'd say is accessible, though there are parts of trails I was able to access. That said, Whitewater in general isn't particularly wheelchair friendly other than in the more truly "public" areas. As an experienced wheelchair user, I doubt I'd head out on these trails alone. Whitewater hosts a variety of events throughout the year. While I wish it was more accessible here, I still consider this one of Indiana's more underappreciated natural gems.
