As a resident of Oak Bend I have to tell you it is a wonderful place to live. I have lived here over 2 years and have never had a problem. Our community is about 200 houses, surrounded by horse farms and trees. It is true we abut I75 but hopefully we will be getting a noise barrier. This is a new problem, cutting down the trees for new lots and the electric company cut trees as well. I do not know if many people disliking the management. They are very helpful and both management and maintenance go out of their way to make this a comfortable community. We lived there and moved out for all of the reasons stated by reviewer Joe here. He just looked into purchasing (lucky for him) but we actually moved in for a couple of years. One major problem was as Joe stated I75 noise shaking your home and eardrums - not too cool especially at 2 or 3 in the am when trying to sleep. Park management says, "Oh, you'll get used to the noise." Believe me, No you won't. On clear days it's even louder!! The pool is always broken down, as it is now. They were talking about another pool and clubhouse, but it's all talk and no action. Now they added a bunch of new homes close together at the back of the park right next to I75!! Good luck with that! When you go to sell your home, it will be hard to sell, so you will sell for less just to get out. The community is old and dated from the 80s and they have NOT done any remodeling on the old roads since then. There is an untended dog park at the front of the park. That's about as good as it gets. This is an honest review. We finally had to move out because of the traffic noise and from the rules set by HOA, like driving 15 miles an hour, and if you go faster, they will call you and holler at you like you are two years old.
