You may be surprised to hear this, but Lethbridge' sushi game is actually on point! The Lounge side is fun, but the Restaurant side has a back hallway and that's where it's at! Well, my wife and I tried Osho a month ago (lounge side) for a nibble. Food was, mediocre and our drinks could not be served due to tap issues. I went back last week (Restaraunt side) and ordered tempura prawns and a sushi bento box. Tempura is now nothing better than a beer batter and my ginger was old and wilted. Wasabi had a crust on it. I've always been a big fan of this restaurant, but today's experience has left me wanting to seek out a different Japanese restaurant. I ordered well in advance of pickup time, and my order was still 10 minutes late even though there were only a few customers in the restaurant. I paid for an extra order of ginger but that wasn't included with my order. The rice on maki roll was dry & a bit crunchy, and obviously not freshly cooked today. Whether you eat at the restaurant/ have it to go. have a authentic Japanese food, sit on comfortable Japanese booth: with special table, and you can just take your shoes off. just like they do in Japanese some Japanese restaurant in Japan. It is one of the best Japanese Ramen Noodles I had in a while. Broth was delicious and noodles were very good. Just about right when I stopped for a long journey of driving. Would visit it again and next time will have some sashimi as well. read more

I ate at O-Sho last night and it was terrible. We ordered 3 rolls and could not finish them despite being very hungry.The quality of the fish was very poor. It tasted terrible and we could tell it was not fresh. I've been having hit or miss experiences here for the past 6 months or so. I'm done. There is plenty of good quality sushi in Lethbridge and O-Sho has prove to me that they are not willing to keep up with the competition. read more

O-sho used to be my favourite place in town, but the quality has really gotten worse lately. Some recipes have changed for the worst, timing is strange (appies usually appear some time during or after the entree), little or no wasabi with takeout, and the menu has never changed in all the years I've been in town. Whenever my daughter is home we have to go to O-sho's. GREAT food! Prices are not bad either. Some dishes are more expensive but many are very reasonable! Usually have enough food left over for a late night snack! read more

This is the best "Japanese" (Japanese style) restaurant in town. I believe it is owned by Chinese although not sure. Food is hot, fresh, has flavor and as I mentioned Japanese style. Ashai from Thailand. I've eaten here numerous times and the only real disappointment was the Miso Ramen soup. You can try the other places in town, however you'll end up back here. read more

While we've been ordering delivery from Osho for more than ten years, the past three orders have been increasingly disappointing with this most recent being the last straw. To begin with, the service on the phone was rude. I was hung up on once and had to call back to place our order. When the food arrived it was soggy and messy, the containers had fallen apart, and portions of the dinners were barely present. Sushi tasted and smelled old. Made me super uncomforable which is the worst thing about eating here. I ordered tofu yakisoba which is my dish as a pescatarian. It arrives and the are good and there are lots of veggies. The tofu was cold, like maybe it had been sitting out. My dad who ordered the same dish wants to send it back but we dont. Then my second bite of tofu tastes sour like it was in sweet and sour sauce. I give a tofu to my dad and boyfriend and they spit it out. I taste it and it clearly has gone rancid. We tell the watress and she gets the manager. The manager asks us what is wrong and i tell her my tofu is sour and im feeling sick from the dish and would rather have my money back. She looks at me and says cruelly, well why did you it it then? I told her that i only ate two bites of tofu and that i didnt know it was bad until i tasted the food. She saying why did you eat it in response to everything i said. I was so shaken i just walked out trying to calm down from her accusing me of eating too much to be allowed to be dissatisfied. My dad tried un successfully to explain to her the situation. All she would offer me was to give me a bigger serving next time i come by asking. Whatever, none of us who were there are ever going back. If you are brave enough to eat here dont order tofu anything because they use expired tofu and dont believe you if you ask for anything else and will accuse you of lying. read more

The sashimi was good. I had the sashimi lunch combo. Comes with potatoes which is not very Japanese. Also came with some chicken where the chicken was almost non existent and it was mostly greasy batter. The pickle side tastes stale. Teriaki beef was decent. Quite a fatty, high carb meal with low quality ingredients and very pricey for what you get. Would not go back there unless you like carbs. They need to rethink their ingredients, their combo components and the price. read more

Well we arrived around 12:30pm and we were seated right away. Our server came and brought us water and asked if we wanted anything else. Upon on person's answer she left abruptly. Came back with the green tea and left again. We had to wave her down to get other drinks. We looked through our menus and waited for her to return. We saw her walking all around us but didn't even look at our table for a nod or wave or anything. We finally had to flag her down again. We ordered our food and about 15 min later they told us we couldn't have a salad because the kitchen ran out of cucumber! Ok no big deal. So we waited. No waitress. We waited another 15-20 and we finally got her attention and all she said was "oh no food yet??". She didn't notice?! Anyway she went to check on what happened to our food and then disappeared once again. Another ten minutes and she's back to tell us that when they came to tell us they couldn't make the salad they cancelled our order. Luckily the restaurant was almost empty by now so our food came quickly when reordered. And was actually pretty good. read more

If you want quality sushi, I'd recommend going to Lighthouse or Dono. If you want other food besides sushi, their chicken katsu is pretty good. It comes with a potato/vegetable mash that is really delicious. read more
