The owner is an old school local business owner that has been rocking this location for 20+ years now, and will provide you a genuine, friendly experience. As someone from out of town, I visited (pleasant experience) this Carquest location on a whim recently instead of O'Reilly's, and I can say with confidence that I will support this local business from now on for my needs related to auto parts and car-wash accessories. I appreciated how authentic Irmo Auto Supply was, and look forward to coming back one day. 5 stars!

The Good - the very very good - Our sales rep Shane was…read moreawesome! This young man is such a gentleman with a professional distinction about him. It was truly refreshing because he was not pushy and on top of that he listened and got your questions answered promptly. He is the ONLY reason I purchased from this dealership. The not so good - this dealership prides themselves on their 180 point inspection the only problem is that there were things that were found by my husband and I that should have been caught by the service department when they performed this 180 inspection. Things they failed to find: 1) cruise control does not work 2) overhead lights not working 3) vehicle has 150,000 miles on it and they refuse to change the timing belt 4) passenger door lock will not work/lock 5) one of the engine/radiator fans loose 6) clips in several areas in the engine compartment are missing One of the managers was bragging about this inspection BUT if your service department can't repair these items but yet they say they did this inspection you just may want to clean house in the service department because they are really making your dealership look bad. Your saving grace right now is your sales team - especially Shane. If the service dept was doing their job correctly I would have given 5 stars. The 4 stars are for Shane and Shane alone! Jim Hudson is where I've always gone for service on my multiple Toyotas have owned…read more I purchased a Yaris, Rav 4, and Prius from this dealer all with exceptional offers. I have brought my Prius in for service many times but after a 5 year hiatus in Florence we moved back to Irmo area. I have to say I thought the Florence Toyota prices were high but come to find out Jim Hudson was even higher. We are talking near $185 for oil change and tire rotation. I know there is inflation but this is unexceptable, way over priced for these services. I was stupefied and not willing to be duped like this again so I took my Prius to Steve Padget Honda across the street over bridge. It felt wrong but oil and tire rotation for $146 which is still high but lower. Apparently this Prius cost more because the starting rate is $68 for oil, one of downsides to hybrids. I use to have no problems with service costs at Jim Hudson, perhaps in time they will decrease again.
