I thought I would give them another chance, as maybe I just got the wrong guy on the wrong day . I called and after a brief interlude a voice asked me to hold, and 15 minutes later , they still haven't picked up the phone. I had a similar situation occur the first time I tried to reach them months ago. ​ I can't speak to their professionalism when it comes to actually installing or fixing things on vehicles, but if my phone experiences are any indication, this is not a company I would recommend. Enroute to Columbia, South Carolina for a basketball tournament weekend, and my oil light popped on…read morejust as I entered the city limits Friday evening. Unfortunately, I hadn't checked it before hitting the road, but no worries -- Columbia is a big enough city, so finding a Chevy dealership shouldn't be a problem. Luckily, I found Hendrick Chevrolet less than a mile from my hotel. I rolled in around 8:00-8:15 Saturday morning (May 16th) to see if they could squeeze me in for an oil change, and they had no problem accommodating me. I was able to drop my car off, head to the basketball tournaments, and come back later to pick it up with zero hassle. Mackie was my service advisor, and he was awesome -- friendly, personable, and made me feel like my car was in good hands. He kept me updated throughout the process and even recommended an engine filter replacement that I genuinely appreciated him pointing out. Overall, excellent customer service and a smooth experience from start to finish. I'd definitely recommend Hendrick Chevrolet whether you're local, passing through town, or just need a quick oil change while traveling. Solid 5 out of 5 stars!

He didn't like the fact that I questioned him about new charges I was told I would have to pay for looking into the original issue I brought my vehicle in for just a couple of days prior. I said to him that I had just paid almost $1700 for looking into this issue along with repairs for other services the diagnostic revealed needed to be done and I didn't understand why I had to pay again and the original issue was never resolved. I am sure the average person would question paying additional money but I guess I'm not average because it insulted him. I understand if I needed to pay additional money for parts or the labor for actually getting the issue fix, but I was asked to pay for the tech to look into the same issue I just paid him to look into a few days prior. In fact, the same day I went to pick up my car, I had to turn around before I got home and bring it back for the same issue. After immediately bringing it back the technician (Shaun who was very nice and helpful) stated he would need more time to look into it and to bring it back the next week because they are closed on weekends. Well after I brought it back on Monday of the next week, I questioned Mr. Owner, (Alex ) and he sat erect in his chair and with a raised tone of voice began to read very aggressively from the computer in front of him spewing a list of services that had been done on my car saying none of them had anything to do with what I was currently there for. He stated that he didn't appreciate my insinuating his business did something wrong and that I needed to leave! I said to him I understood what he was saying but I didn't appreciate his delivery and his business may not have a successful future if he speaks to customers in this manner. He became indignant and stated "he didn't need my business and that he had several successful businesses and as the owner he could do and say anything he wants to and there's the door you can leave !" I want Alex to know that my business/$1600 may not mean anything to him but it was a huge sacrifice for me to pay and if future customers are treated in such a way, those dollars or lack of dollars add up and customer retention can make or break a business. So now I am out of lots of money and still can't see to drive after dark because of an electrical issue causing my headlight bulbs to blow out has not been fixed. So I would think twice about taking your vehicle here or you may end up spending lots of money and then told you aren't valued as a customer and to get out of the establishment like I was told to.

I've gotten a lot of maintenance work done here. Throttle body cleaning, tires (alignment + balance…read more+ rotation), a serpentine belt and tensioner pulley. But after my check engine light came on for EVAP codes. I started to notice their lack of communication. The EVAP codes could be multiple things like a purge valve, vacuum switching valve, charcoal canister, hoses etc. I ordered a vacuum switching valve after some research and they said it was the wrong part. It wasn't the wrong part, because I just had it installed somewhere else, and the VSV already on there wouldn't click at all. So the part I previously ordered was the right buy. But old school wanted to put a new part in that they ordered. A vent valve. I had no issue. They're professionals they know what they're doing maybe my vent valve was faulty. But when I asked how they diagnosed that it was indeed a faulty vent valve. They wouldn't tell me. Keith said "you can't really tell if it's bad". So you're replacing a part that you're not sure I need? Sheesh could at least run the smoke test. Then trying to ask for more info about the part they're ordering and putting in my car, was a hassle. I felt like a nuisance. As a customer I shouldn't feel nervous asking about my car but they sound extremely annoyed talking to me. I'm at performance express and was just told I had a massive head gasket oil leak. Old school didn't catch that. Thank god I was able to catch it. But old school is good overall. Parts come in quick. Labor prices are pretty good. Just communication is meh. Chris is awesome tho.

Before installing the replacement rim, we took the car to a tire shop to get new tires. There was nothing wrong with the original rim that was on the car. Since Scott is no longer in charge of the day to day Mr Ziegler has taken over. He is an elderly man who is rude, abrasive and easily offended by questions asked. I got my car back after 2 months for a fuel pump and module. He said he personally was looking at my car. My suspension code was present when I received it, how they didn't see it is beyond me. Being mechanically inclined and in the industry I crawled under my car to see if they unplugged a module and did not plug it back in. The wiring harness was smashed in between the frame rail and the fuel tank, they ZIPTIED my new fuel module. I was lied to about why the repair was taking so long and treated like someone annoying, not a customer. I use to recommend this shop. Never again

Chip told us to come in for a free AC checkup and once he got them to look at everything, it was a plugged drain line! NO Charge! Can't say enough good things about Rushing Automotive and Chip.
