O Mineiro specializes in the cuisine of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, including Feijoada Miniera, a stew of black beans, various cuts of pork, and sausage. The deliciously creamy, hearty, savory stew with tender chunks of meat was served with white rice, couve (sautéed collard greens), orange slices, farofa (toasted cassava), and pork rinds. I also tried the popular Picanha, a grilled cut of beef, served with rice, couve, yucca fries, and tropeiro (beans mixed with cassava, sausage, eggs, cured meat, and collard greens, all topped with pork cracklings). While the Picanha itself was tough and chewy, all the accompaniments were flavorful and delicious! Overall, this was a nice casual restaurant to try some traditional Brazilian dishes. Everything came at a good value and with friendly service too! read more
