Finally, Shelly with North Country Lodge answers the phone and she's got availability! She is incredibly friendly and even drives out to the gas station to lead us through the difficult-to-navigate road construction in town. Her level of service is amazing. The room is clean and spacious and is exactly what we need for the right price. This little gem of a motel is full of character and we highly recommend it!

The house behind the hotel was setting off fireworks until at least 1 am. This isn't the hotel's fault, but it did make it hard to sleep. The comforters were also way too hot. Without it, it was too cold, and with it it was so heavy I was hot. And the water pressure in the shower was way too low. Minor complaints aside, the room was nice. The beds were comfortable. It was clean. The breakfast was a standard continental breakfast. Overall, it was a good stay.
