The food across the board was excellent--every dish we tried was flavorful, well-prepared, and felt thoughtfully put together. You can tell there's real intention behind both the menu and execution. What really elevated the experience, though, was our waiter, Bernardo. He brought incredible energy to the table--full of personality, engaging, and genuinely fun to interact with. At the same time, his service was top-notch: attentive without being overbearing, helpful with recommendations, and clearly passionate about what he does. Great food is one thing, but when you pair it with service like that, it turns into a memorable experience. Highly recommend--and if you get Bernardo, you're in for a great time.

I had read in Yelp that lines could be long, but we arrived early. They have a little red rope at the door where they explain the rules. The interior is kind of eclectic. They have wines at three price points, we got a really nice bottle of red called Pops reserve. For the tapas, we ordered the assorted cheeses, octopus risotto, duck breast with chips (not normally on the menu), and ceviche. All were superb. We started with the duck and ceviche. The duck was braised perfectly and seasoned well, wonderful. Then the ceviche had swordfish and tuna. I am not normally a sword fan, but this was very tasty. Next up were the cheese and risotto. The risotto was incredible, buttery and delicious. The cheese plate had 5 cheeses of different intensity. All were great, particularly the goat ones. It came with a pumpkin jam which I had never had before, but was very good. I definitely recommend this place

Starters were ver small portions but very tasty that we ordered seconds! Dinner entrees were good portions and delicious, but most important was the presentation. Each dish has its own display! We loved the relaxed, modern decor, friendly service and amazing, creative food. We ordered a few starters in lieu of a full meal, as it was a bit late; this was the way to go. Everything we tried was perfection. All dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The service was friendly, and relaxed. The owner and server were pleased to teach us a bit about the local food scene, Portuguese wine, etc.which we appreciated since this was our first night in the area. We had a combo starter plate which was amazing. In particular, we loved the fried chicken (served with a cocktail!) and the oxtail balls. The fish we had was amazingly fresh and perfectly cooked. Can't say enough about this place. Loved it!

We were just at the port earlier and was hungry upon arriving back…read more I heard of this restaurant via social media. I had to try it. It's located on a steep stairs. There's seating outside and also inside, which for 25ppl or less.. we sat very cozy to each other. We were able to meet and chat with a couple next to use from the Netherlands. We had 2 dishes and ordered sangria and beer. Their food were just amazing. I mean, grilled sardines served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It elevated the taste. I had their shrimp risotto. Also very good. Love the fact that it's just risotto, shrimp and a good amount of sauce. So good. Yesterday we ate elsewhere and they had beans in my risotto. I do appreciate this restaurant even more. Wait staff were quick. All men running and maintaining the whole restaurant. Soo good, I'm thinking about coming back before we leave.

We were only in Lisbon for five days. For three of those days, we tried to get into Lisboa Tu e Eu…read more(the original). Unfortunately, we were a group of six, and it is a very tiny, very popular place. And I think the hostess running it didn't like my friend's face.* However, we wandered by this second location, and I truly can't imagine the original being any better than this perfect, perfect meal. I'm so glad they opened this spot whenever they did, because we needed this food in our lives. The room is small, and cramped, with low ceilings and adoring graffiti all over the walls. There is a section upstairs, but it was closed off (probably because the air conditioning was broken). But it's comfortable enough, and the room is filled with people sharing food and wine and just having a good time. We ordered all the things. Grilled sardines, codfish cakes, shrimp tempura, squid salad, pica pau beef, things I can't remember...and to wash it all down, several jugs of green wine. Legitimately one of the best lunches of my life. If I could only pick two things to eat, I'd go with the pica pau (incredible sauce), and the sardines. But you truly can't go wrong. The chef and owner, Maria, was in the house, painstakingly making sure that the rice pudding (justifiably lauded as the World's Best on some TV show she mentioned) was perfect. She came over to our table and was absolutely the sweetest lady I've ever met, in addition to being behind all this wonderful food. She insisted a sweaty delivery man sit down, catch his breath, and eat some rice pudding at the table next to us. The best part is it was extremely affordable too. If like us you can't get into the original on the hill, maybe it's for the best, as long as you still get to eat Maria's food. _______________ *To be fair, his face is kind of stupid.
