I had an interview to record yesterday, and they very kindly turned the music down in the lounge at the back of the pub and let us use the space. We had a good ol pot of tea which is a rarity these days - nothing worse than being charged upwards of €2 for a cup of tea when a bit of extra hot water in a pot costs them nothing. The front bar had some football match playing, with the few regulars glued to it over their pints of Guinness (which I hear is very good here).

This is the kind of pub, where you come to relax and have a chat and a- really good- pint with a few friends without having to worry about posers. The chairs are comfortable and I've never seen the bar that busy that it would feel in any way crowded. A good place to meet up with friends or start off a night out.

It looks like your typical local pub and is easily overlooked on the corner, but it's well worth going in for a pint or a few. The barmen are friendly and it's full of welcoming locals. There is a snug at the window, so if you're here early enough try and get it. I would recommend it on a Friday night, as the atmosphere is just buzzing in here then.
