Our driveway is around a 1/4 mile long and winds its way through a beautiful woodland area. We searched for a paving contractor with an excellent reputation and after receiving several estimates we selected O. Cooper. We were unable to physically be onsite to go over the project but that didn't matter as Billy suggested we meet via FaceTime. He arrived at the property on time, and we were able to walk the project virtually discussing our vision and expectations. He promptly provided us with a very detailed estimate of the work to be performed along with a price quote. Added another layer of asphalt to an existing driveway, 40' long, 20' wide at top. Was 15' wide at bottom, is now 18' wide. Added paving in front of mailbox. Work description: cut out loose base material, leveled to be flat with the garage and sidewalk, packed sub -base and gravel, laid asphalt, applied sealer. $5,000 for the asphalt and $175 for sealing. Called number given on Angie's List (540-295-6474) but the call was dropped. Called the number on the O. Cooper website (540-752-1000) and left a message. Received a call back from Billy Cooper. He came out to do a free estimate on 10/16/18 and was able to schedule the work for 10/19/18. While he was here for the estimate, my neighbor across the street came over and asked if he could have his driveway done at the same time. They were able to accommodate us both on the same day. They spent the good part of the day doing both driveways, and they both look fantastic. During the entire process, they were meticulous in their work, and every time I asked a question or raised a concern, they listened to me and answered my questions. I was particularly concerned because they needed to lay asphalt over a French drain, but it's still working fine. They treated us, and our property, with respect. I highly recommend them. read more

Who wants to have paving done? Who wants to have to redo paving you already have done? No-one. We had to repair and replace a french drain and paving over it at our garage door. I called 3 places, Cooper guys came out that day, gave me an estimate, quoted me a very fair price and did the work two days later. Thye arrived a little early actually. Full crew, equipment materials all there. I had decided that the way we were going to do this would not work so shared that with them that am, no problem at all, sent one guy to Lowes to get some material they had not known they would need, the rest of them went to work. Thye ended up redesigning the french drain I had installed a few years ago, resloped the paving, and were done mid afternoon. All of them were very professional and friendly. Thye cal, and left eh area cleaner than it had been to begin with. I guess the son called his Dad when they were about done as he came by to look at the work and talk to us.
