We made reservations online, so we were quickly seated on arrival. This place doesn't look particularly special - very average looking place - but it's not why we were there. We were there for the food. We reviewed the menu and ended up ordering and trying the following: - Gai Hor Bai Teuy - OK. One of my favourite dishes when visiting a particular Thai restaurant in Seattle, WA, USA, but it didn't really compare. The chicken was a overcooked and chewy, and honestly a bit bland. I know it could be much better if there was more pandan used to infuse extra flavour. - Kuay Teaw Rua (Boat Noodle) - OK. Another favourite dish of mine that is hard to find back at home. This one was OK, but didn't find the flavour as deep compared to the best one's I've had. Very spicy for me too. - Crispy pork cracker - Bad. It was just too hard, and some were chewy. They weren't fresh. - Pad See Iew - Good. Probably the only dish that met some of my high expectations. Service was fine. Honestly, I've heard so many good things about this place, and how Thai food in Sydney second to none, I really wanted to be blown away... but I wasn't. Based on this visit, I thought it was OK at best.

This place We loved the kai jiew bpu (crab omelette) (5/5)- crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and packed with rich crab flavor, plus the golden puff was totally crave-worthy. Coconut shrimp dumpling4/5 Prawn was so sweet like fish market The service was helpful. Has cool vibes.

Decided to try out their thai milk tea and pad thai. The milk tea had quite a lot of condensed milk in it and less ice which made it thick and over sweet. Maybe the different type of condense milk has also an impact towards the beverage. Would prefer less condensed milk. For chicken pad thai, I asked the server to not include the dried shrimps. Order came around 10 minutes later. The taste is great and the noodles are cooked in perfection. Some of the chicken was still cold.. The price for Pad Thai was great :) I noticed quite a few table ordered the coconut ice cream for desserts and crushed ice flavored drinks to accompany their meals. Looked like they enjoyed what they have ordered. Besides that, to accommodate to new customers, the servers cleaned the tables quickly so that a new customer can use upon walking in. Located at the ferry terminal is definitely a bonus for this store.

Anyway, since I hadn't had any for a while (basically a week), I decided to look for one as I was wandering along Glebe Point Road, and this place basically came up. As a restaurant it does its job, and it does actually have a much more authentic feel than some of those really flash thai restuarants that are appearing all around the suburbs. I ended up having a curry, but then that is what I generally end up eating at most of the Thai restaurants I visit. Oh and its pretty good value as well, though I would recommend avoiding it on the hotter days.

They don't take bookings for small groups, but any party larger than 6 can reserve a table. The legendary pork ribs certainly don't disappoint, and the crying tiger is another one of my absolute favourites. The hip and modern atmosphere is fantastic and it truly provides a unique Thai street-dining experience on the north shore. One thing I would say is that the serving portions aren't exactly generous, but that can be overlooked with its reasonable prices. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone craving Thai food. I first came here for my birthday in July and have been back at least three times since!

The decor is rustic and reminiscent of Thai street stalls, with plenty of seating to cater for the lunch and dinner crowd. I expect spicy heat and despite ordering that it delivered almost none. The two mains we ordered (duck and pork) had no love, they were presented poorly and contained little flair. The entrees however were quite well done. The prawn pastry shells, and the betel scallop were both tasty. The accompanying refreshments had good variety however they were also expensive. The ambience is pleasant, and the wait staff are friendly yet struggle slightly with the language barrier. With the bill topping $100 for 2 (nothing extravagant ordered) you can see why I won't be heading back anytime soon. In closing I would like to share a personal message from my companion, which read: "Hey Dan !!! The one ? Pleasent for eating many Friendship apopse" ... kinda sums it all up really :)

The staff are very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Peking duck pancakes and chicken san choy bow - probably the only reason this place is not getting a 5 is that the duck pancakes did not have enough sauce. These dishes with rice and two beers came to $87. The restaurant has seating options that would work well for both groups and couples - if in a group I would book ahead.
