I could go on and on about this company. First time every using Porch King, to install a roof over…read moremy patio. From day one, the experience was exceptional. I live in Holiday City West, in Toms River NJ. I have tried getting construction help, most of the time no one replies or replies but doesn't show up. Porch King, replied to my request immediately, came out and reviewed the roof installation and gave me a very acceptable price. I was told the project would start in about three weeks, to my surprise it was moved up to a week. I was given a 9 to 9:30 am start time, and they were on the job at 9:15 am. It was expected to take a day or a day and a half, the whole job was completed in 6 hours. The installation looks great, the area was totally cleaned up. All the workers and the boss were polite and friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone that wants a professional job and a reasonable price. Two things to note: The site for Porch King claims they accept Credit Cards, they do not anymore. Also, even though an address is given, there is no office to visit, you have to give a call for someone to come out.

They are the ABSOLUTE BEST you could hope to hire. Clean and neat in everything they do. They came in and installed an octagonal in my foyer ceiling for me last year that is magnificent! I mean they do ridiculously GORGEOUS TRIM WORK that I can personally say is STUNNING as well as elegant. This year they repaired a staircase that was never finished by another carpenter and who no one would repair for me with missing and broken pieces and then they sanded it BY HAND! with a vacuum in the other hand! My staircase looks amazing. They also refaced my old builder stock kitchen and bathroom cabinets which gives them a custom, contemporary feel. Pulled out my horribly dated and plain old ugly floor baseboards made of tile and replaced with new baseboards matching the rest of my home. With their unbelievable eye for detail they also installed my hickory hardwood planks on the outside of my large island and it's so striking I just want to spend my day looking at it!!! I mean seriously, if you need anything, this team can do it and make it seem like it's an easy task. It's clean and quiet in my house and they are doing mini renovations in 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. I can't say enough about Touched By God Carpenters. You couldn't be in better hands for whatever your project. I recommend them to the moon!!!!! I would trust them to do anything!

We also had them completely remodel our master bathroom. Sean Conniff is a stickler for details, and it shows in his work. One never has to worry about him getting it right. He's way ahead of you in that department but always patient and thorough in answering any and all of one's questions. He and his co-workers, John and Scott, work hard, are very pleasant and professional, and are unfazed by anything including my overly curious and energetic dog. They're extremely neat - not only when cleaning up each night but throughout the entire process. They were prompt each morning and communicated any delay or hiccup in a timely fashion. As a result of a previous fraudulent contractor, I was left with a barely functioning bathroom in my home. Due to a mold issue, homeowners insurance granted us coverage for a bathroom repair. We didn't do our due diligence in selecting this original contractor (reading reviews, browsing the internet for credentials/past work, etc), and we suffered because of it. The previous contractor came in, ripped out all the walls and flooring, destroyed the plumbing, and ran off with the money - leaving us still with the mold problem and without a functioning bathroom. Conniff Construction came to the rescue and repaired our bathroom beautifully, and in a timely manner. Both Sean and John were extremely professional to work with, and had only their clients best interests in mind. They put our bathroom back together, including a custom tile floor job, reinstallment of sheetrock, rerouting of problematic plumbing, installation of new tub and removal of old tub, and most of all - rid us of the mold issue. Conniff Construction worked with us patiently while we went back and forth on design decisions. They installed all of the bathroom furniture, including vanity, mirror, and lighting. I felt extremely safe with having them work in my home alone, without supervision. They are safe and professional, and pose no risk from a safety or financial perspective. They are diligent and organized in their documentation, including their contract and estimates, and belong to multiple verified home owner's and builders associations in the state (as well as nationally). We felt very safe in their hands and we are confident we made the right decision in choosing them for our renovation. The window locks won't engage because the windows are not square. Many of the roof rafters didn't reach the facia board. The roof started to leak where the addition met the original house. The HVAC system never worked correctly. He was doing other jobs at the same time so a lot of days no one showed up. The job took a long time. Then months in to the job he wanted more money. Thousands over the original quote. We said no and He walked off the job and left it half done. He was very rude and nasty. My mom passed away shortly after and when we tried to sell the house it failed inspections for electric, structure, foundation and HVAC. We had to sell as is and lost a lot of money. What a nightmare!
