I said no thanks and the owner calls me back with a backhanded apology saying they were still in within the timeframe. Then he has the nerve to tell me I'm playing games because I said they could still come check out the car but I wasn't certain I would take the offer if it changed from my original quote. 'Auto Salvage' is a fancier way of saying junkyard. But junkyards don't have to be those run-down…read moreyards with a chained up rottweiler salivating over the thought of crunching into your bones. Nope, not at all! My dad is a frequent here as he enjoys fixing up cars and I went with him one day because this place also sells cars and he saw one that he liked driving by. We went the day after a big snow day and were not allowed to go into the yard because of ice, which was actually really thoughtful. The guys there did help answer all of my dads questions about the vehicle and they laid it out to him honestly, telling him what was wrong with the vehicle, the make, the model, the year and an estimate on just how much it would cost to get it in good running order. I know my dad has also picked up spare parts from here and we've benefitted from it by such little things as windshield wipers and I think tires too. Just a quick note about the street it's on: it's a super commercial road so it has a lot of work trucks barreling up and down. At it's worst it has giant potholes and also can be addled with nails that have fallen off the trucks. Be wary and vigilant when driving around here!

I'm pretty sure it was the blond ponytail guy, and another guy, but they were ripping on each other so hard, and creatively, I was cracking up just standing there. They were as funny as Howard Stern (at the time, still in his prime), and I told them they should have their own radio show. Fast forward to today, I stopped in to try to junk an old car, and they were still as polite, courteous, and professional as before, only this time they went above and beyond to help me out. We couldn't make a deal, but they did refer me to a colleague who gave me the best price. Who ever is running the show over there is doing a great job, because it's always a pleasure to stop in. This review is based on few things: + they are going to tell you they can turn them around in 1 day... it's a scam to make you think they are going to be of high quality. + the first time they turned them around I noticed lots of running paint that was dried up. + they claim that nobody powdercoats the outer barrel of the wheel yet they advertise wheels that are fully powder coated inside and out. They literally gave me back two tone gradient wheels and didn't bat an eyelash -- the audacity + on the redo I gave them ample time to make sure they provided me with a high quality job only to receive a job worst than the first job. + $150.00 to repair rashed/bent wheel + powdercoat seemed pricey.... For the quality of work, I'd pay $50/wheel -- I'm being generous with that number. These wheels make me want to vomit + take a look at the images I posted so you can get a good idea of the amount of blemishes on these newly refinished (x2) wheels. $653.02 after tax for this job.
