Note- party planning review. Went here on Saturday February 1st with my family to look at places to book my dad's 60th birthday party. As a family, we also been here years ago for a family birthday party. We actually were early for our appointment with tommy i think. He was also very nice, and explained their offerings and why they have certain charges. He answered all our questions in a polite manner. There are 2 rooms in this place, one is a downstairs, and there is also an upstairs. What room is booked depends on your party size. The main room upstairs is so beautiful, with views of the tappan zee bridge (or mario cuomo bridge). there is also a little bar in the room where one can get the alcohol. With the view, i thought it was very nice. Restrooms were clean but only had 2 stalls. Unfortunately we decided on another venue, but if there's another party to plan, may consider this venue! read more

I attended a wedding here, which was absolutely beautiful. The only thing was that during the vows, one of the staff was extremely loud in the background. Literally people were turning around in the crowd, telling him to be quiet. Besides that I really love the views from every angle, even in the parking lot. The chicken parm - the chicken had the consistency of a soggy chicken tender with jarred tomato sauce on top. The penne was undercooked. Everyone at the table had the same experience. The garlic bread during the appetizer course was very delicious though. If that's what they're serving on a consistent basis then i wouldn't recommend this place. The venue is scenic which is a plus. read more

We recently had our wedding at The Nyack Seaport (July, 2022). Angelo and Tommy were the sweetest, funniest, and kindest hosts ever. We ended p going with all of their recommended vendors for music, flowers, cake, and photography. All the vendors we used through the Seaport were incredible and held themselves up to the same level of professionalism as the Seaport. Angelo and Tommy really took care of everything to make sure our day ran perfectly. Audrey, the maître d was incredible and so kind. She made sure we were taken care of and always made time to check on the two of us to see if we had eaten, sat, had something to drink, etc. All of the staff was so professional and kind. The room itself was beautiful, as well. We chose to go with minimal decorations because it was already so gorgeous! With it's clean, classic, and elegant look, plus the outstanding views of the water, there was nothing we could have added that would have made the room more beautiful. A few weeks after our wedding, people are still calling us to tell us how incredible the food was! We had so much food at the cocktail hour people were surprised that there was still a full meal to come after! We really can't recommend The Nyack Seaport enough. Had our 50th anniversary party here. Angelo and Tommy and Grace could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The place is beautiful and the staff were great. Food was served wonderfully and everyone had a great time. I would give them a 10 star review if possible. read more

The hall itself is ok, but the entrance is a bit of a downer. Uneven pavement, with only a partially private feeling for the private party event that I went to recently. The downstairs bathroom hallway has damaged ceiling panels, which gives it a very cheap feeling. Overall an ok experience. read more

We held a reception after our son's baptism and Angelo took fantastic care of us. First, we planned the party from across the country and Angelo was a prompt, professional, and thorough communicator. Second, the flexibility and options that we had from the room, menu, cake, decor, music, etc. really helped us have the event that we wanted. Third, the entire syaff at the Nyack Seaport, including the maître d, Grace, were so accommodating and helpful. I can't say enough great things about the venue, food, and service. We would definitely work with Angelo again and have another event at the Nyack Seaport. read more

My son's bar mitzvah was 3 weeks ago. Angelo, Tommy and their team did such a fantastic job!. Not only did our guests complement us for days about the abundance and quality of the food, my family and I were treated like VIPs. The venue was beautiful! The staff was superb! We had our wedding here and I can not say enough good things. I was a little nervous at first as I do not live in New York so we had one meeting in person and than did a lot over the phone. I did not have to worry at all everything was done perfectly before and during. They had everything under control and I was never worried the day of the wedding. Also a special shout out to Audrey for being so helpful to the bride and groom. I will always remember her calming me down before I walked down the aisle. I have a feeling she has done this before. They also did a great job recommending the additional vendors we needed as we were not from the area. They were also always willing to accommodate my requests as the bride even though I was not the one paying the bill which I appreciated. The food was above and beyond. Six years later people are still talking about how good the food was especially the penne vodka that we had during cocktail hour. There was so much food during cocktail hour my guests were stunned that there was still a full sit down meal to come. We had a choice of prime rib, chicken, or salmon for lunch and they were all excellent. We also really enjoyed the ice cream and Italian cookies for dessert that we had with our wedding cake. I highly recommend The Nyack Seaport for your venue. read more

Attended my sister's wedding on Saturday, September 25, 2021. The venue was very nice, the food was great and the waitstaff was attentive and polite, with the exception of the head waitress (older woman, curly salt and pepper hair), who was brusque, sarcastic, and rude. During the reception, the table I was sitting at was missing utensils and napkins. I walked to the service area near the kitchen and asked the head waitress if I could have 2 setups for my companion and myself. I waited near the kitchen for approximately 10 minutes, and she did not return. I assumed she had gotten distracted and pulled to another task, so I asked someone else, who gave them to me immediately. I went back to my table and approximately 10 minutes later, the head waitress appeared at the table holding a dozen setups cradled in her 2 hands. She asked me if I needed one, then made a rude comment about me asking multiple people for a setup, before turning around and walking away. I was taken back by her sarcasm and nastiness. I certainly understand that waitstaff are very busy during an event like this, however, it does not give them license to be rude and nasty. To think, she knew someone else gave me the utensils already, but she made it a point to seek me out, ON PURPOSE, to be rude and nasty, because she felt that she had been somehow wronged. Individuals like this person do not possess the proper demeanor or have the "people" skills required, and should not be working in the service industry and interface with the public. While this person's bad behavior reflects poorly on her, unfortunately, and ultimately, it reflects poorly on the venue and negatively impacts the establishment. If you do book this venue, you should ask them NOT to assign her to your function. If you attend this venue and she is working the event, do not engage with her. read more

We had the greatest wedding especially when they were accommodating at a such short notice due to another venue being horrible. In just 3 weeks they got us everything we asked for and more. The food had nothing but compliments and I enjoyed the BBQ very much. They made sure my wife and I were well taken care of during the reception I even got to eat I heard that was difficult to do. Let me start off by saying that this is a beautiful place, however it's run by an incompetent person. The woman in charge of booking events didn't return my calls. On top on that, even when we visited the place, she was on the phone and told her secretary that she couldn't meet with us. I was baffled. How can you turn away potential customers when they are at the venue. It was only after I insisted to wait did she come out to meet us. All I have to say is she's terrible and should find a new profession. She seems miserable and could care less about booking an event. She didn't care to accommodate and wasn't friendly at all. We were here for a graduation party and the food was ridiculously amazing! The only thing I could even remotely complain about is the confusing parking situation and trying to figure out which door to go in to get to the banquet room. The cosmos were perfect, the appetizers delectable and the seafood stuffed sole was exquisite! Best fish I have ever had in a banquet setting. Found one pin bone but otherwise it was flaky deliciousness without being dry and overdone. The location is cute and the outdoor deck/patio is a great place to sit. read more

Nyack Seaport is a hidden gem. We held our recent December wedding there and I can't say enough about the staff or venue. It is family-owned and they make you feel like one of the family as opposed to a larger impersonal banquet hall. They clearly care about food and are a restaurant style caterer; they were even so accommodating as to have a special meal prepared for my 92 year old grandfather! We held our ceremony there as well, with the Hudson River in the background at sunset. Village of Nyack memorial park is next door and a great spot for photos. Cocktail hour and Viennese hour were fantastic. One of the things I liked about the space was a large dance floor. The wedding coordinator is responsive and thorough. Her assistant and the maitre d were really great to work with. I highly recommend Nyack Seaport as the perfect spot for a wedding. read more

We went to the Nyack Seaport in October 2013 because we were considering having our wedding here. We didn't end up using the Nyack Seaport (lots of family compromises had to be made...), but we had such a great experience working with them that I thought it was worth writing a review. The hall itself is really nice -- bright and classy but not overdone (no obnoxious chandeliers), with large windows overlooking the Hudson. Angelo was great to work with -- he returned all of my calls/emails same day (which is way more than I can say for most of the venue we looked at). We looked at many, many wedding venues, and this was the first one where they said "tell us the vision you have for your wedding, we will make it happen", instead of "this is how we do things here, take it or leave it". We also needed kosher food, and they were extremely accommodating in helping us find a kosher caterer (I believe they do their own catering for all events that don't require kosher food). They were very competitively priced for a kosher wedding in NY of that quality. read more

Was there at a wedding this weekend. Food was terrible. 6 of the ten people at our table had the ribeye choice and not one of us ate it. The others chose salmon and said it was bland. Ribeye was thin well done and chewy. Cocktail hour food was cold and tasteless. Soggy knishes cold hot dogs and pot stickers. Bar sucked. Pinot was undrinkable. Very few top brands. Service and staff was excellent. Presentation was very good. Venue was nice. Great view of the Hudson. read more

We planned our high school reunion at the Seaport Inn, and the event was really wonderful. The room, the food, the planning attention from Angelo, and the price made the evening quite a success. I was married at the seaport in June 2014. It seemed like the perfect venue for a 100+ person wedding. The location was great. The venue was tastefully decorated and well maintained. The owner, Angelo Rubino was kind and professional. He offered us a great deal. Needles to say, I was quite excited with our choice of venue. Upon meeting the onsite "coordinator," Valicite, I was pleased with her seemingly honest and professional demeanor. Before I go into the negatives of our experience, I'd like to point out some some of the positives: Angelo rubino was a pleasure to work with. The food was delicious. The venue is reasonably priced. The maître d and staff were attentive and, the location is desirable. As for the negatives, and I feel that I must be forthcoming with them as I still have a bad taste in my mouth after 7 months. My major issue was with the on site coordinator, Valicite. After we signed with the seaport, her whole attitude seemed to change. Originally we were told we could use special table clothes at no extra cost, only to be told a month before the wedding, that if we wanted to use them we would be charged extra per table. I received a gorgeous wreath as a gift and wanted to display it at the wedding. At first valicite told us that she would find a place to hang it. A week before the big day, she told us that the seaport doesn't hang things from the walls. Thankfully the maître d told me that she would find someplace to showcase the wreath. On the day of the wedding, valicite make snarky comments to my husband in regards to him forgetting the marriage certificate at home. She was rude to several of my early arriving guests turning them Away at the door and not allowing them to be seated for the ceremony. It's been over 7 months and I still cannot get over how unprofessional, cold, and condescending this woman behaved. My husband was so upset he refused to return to the seaport for a free dinner we were offered. I'm not sure if miss rubino was just going through something In her personal life and we were experiencing the backlash or if this is the norm. Regardless, I would forwarn anyone desiring to marry at the seaport to avoid working with Valicite a Rubino. I would recommend working directly with Angelo rubino if you can or else avoid this venue. A wedding should be a warm,special,'and inviting occasion. What we were met with was the compete opposite. read more
