For the bagels, we got the bacon egg and cheese, and my partner got the Shoreline on the bacon blast bagel. The Shoreline was delicious, the cream cheese added great flavor to the sandwich. The bacon blast bagel was tasty as well. Unfortunately the bacon egg and cheese (the Highrise) could have been better. The filling to bacon ratio wasn't great, the egg was small and the bacon didn't stand out in flavor. I wish they added more as I had multiple bites of just bagel. Overall though, the shoreline was great. I'd come back to try their other options!

It was very busy, which usually is an indication of a great place to eat, but unfortunately for us the bagels were just not that great. I got an Asiago cheese bagel, toasted (who would have it any other way?), and the bacon jalapeno cream cheese. The wait was okay for the number of people there and when I got my bagel, the cream cheese was melted and very light and the bagel, although okay, was not up to the hype protrayed by one of the family that was on the YouTube segment. It was just okay, nothing more, and I wish it was so much better. Maybe all the five star reviews had a different experience but I think this is a one time and when we are in the area again I will go elsewhere.

After a bunch of research, my husband and I decided to give Giovanni's a try. The place itself is clean, well kept and there are plenty of tables all around. The lox to cream cheese ratio was on point. There were great amounts of tomato, capers and sliced red onions to bring out all the flavors without the sandwich itself being overpowering. I ordered the tuna salad melt with a side of potato salad and my husband ordered a burger on a bagel with a side of macaroni salad. We were told everything is fresh-made. I'm not a salt lover, but both the tuna and potato salad could have used more. This was a little surprising because I find many restaurants in North Carolina are heavy in salt use, so this was a good thing for me in being able to add a little on the potato salad to my liking. Very good size portions. We brought half our sandwiches and sides home for lunch the next day. Parking is limited because this seems to be a popular place. Great menu with much to choose from. We bought a Sfogliatella pastry to eat at home. It was delicious! Great place for breakfast and lunch if you are in the area. We'll be back!
