This is a continuation of a review I started earlier today. So, I went to the drive thru and put in my Nuvision debit card, the check AND my DRIVER'S LICENSE in the clear container that was to be sent inside. It took at least 10 minutes for them to deposit ONE check. The person was new that was dealing with me. When the check was FINALLY deposited, first just the deposit slip came back, then the Nuvision debit card ONLY. I asked where my license was and the person said they never received it in the clear tumbler? WHAT??? I double checked the car, the surrounding area, as I was 100% sure I had put all 3 things in the container. She and her supervisor claimed that they never received it. Now, I don't have my license; I have to be inconvenienced by going to the DMV or even reapplying for a duplicate real ID online; pay a FEE; get a temporary PAPER ID and wait 2-4 WEEKS to get my ACTUAL REAL ID in the mail!! This is unbelievable and unacceptable!! And the last thing is that I can't even access almost HALF of the money for over a week! WHAT?? Fortunately, I don't need the money right now, but it's the principle! What if I DID need that money right away??The check is from a different bank that is here in Anchorage. When all of this check finally clears, I will be withdrawing all of my money and taking my banking business elsewhere! I am SO upset and disappointed!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS FINANCIAL INSTATUTION!! If you try to pay your credit card with your bank they will process it as check then deny it over and over. Then say they can't take over $3000. There credit department sugested to pay $2,999, and yet again they deny it. Each denial is $20! Hundreds dollars latter and many tries to pay, your credit is shot and they have stolen money from you. read more

I am absolutely appalled by the level of customer service at Nuvision Credit Union. I spent FOUR HOURS on hold today -- only to be hung up on without ever speaking to a single representative. That is completely unacceptable. I have an account with Nuvision but cannot access it because I do not know my username or password. To reset the password, I need the username. I tried emailing for help, knowing that their phone service is notoriously bad, but the only response I got was that I need to call customer service. So I'm stuck in a loop -- the only way to resolve my issue is by phone, but no one answers the phone. This isn't just frustrating -- it's dangerous. I am being denied access to my own account with no reliable way to get help. I lost four hours of my day for nothing. This level of incompetence and lack of support is disgraceful. Nuvision needs to completely overhaul its customer service system before more people are left stranded like this. read more

Nuvision definitely have friendly tellers, but make mistakes and sometimes don't know what they are doing. Also, we were scammed and they thought we were the guilty. We talked to the manager of customer relations and he called me a criminal and terminated our account! So we joined a credit union. We were more than unhappy with calls to Nuvision. My wife waited on one call for 3 hours! My rating would be a zero if I could put that in. read more

I was trying to buy a truck cash from a dealership and even though my wire transfer was approved, the app had issues. Not only that, I asked them twice to send me an email notification of the transaction so that I could then send a confirmation number to the dealership. Twice I asked and they twice acknowledged my request, but did not bother. It turns out, dealerships hate working with nuvision because they take forever to get anything done. I went there to open an account for my little sister and they were so helpful and explained everything to her in a way an 18 year old would understand. Each teller was personable and friendly; they also greeted us when we walked in and made us feel welcomed. (Which by the way is hard to come by nowadays). Went here for a loan on a vehicle. Met with Sean at first, very personable and likable however did not inform me very well. Came back the next day as there was a discrepancy in my paperwork, Sean was not here, met with another guy he was very uninterested in being personable, which was fine by me, however he kept saying i needed different documents and Sean did not inform me of. Spent way more time here than i wanted. Got more of a headache than anything waiting here. Update: 6 weeks after being approved they called me and asked if they had given me the check to give to the auto company i bought my car from... they gave me a copy, and stated they would personally give the check they approved to the auto company, but somehow lost it??? very unorganized. I have been a member since 2003 and have easily deposited over a million dollars since then, yet I still haven't been able to finance or get a credit card through them. My latest fiasco with them being their inability to lend $20,000 on a brand new 1 ton cargo van after being approved for a $30,000 loan, because it was considered a commercial vehicle even though I had no plans to use it commercially! This was after hours of running back and forth to the bank and dealer. The bank manager and loan officer in California couldn't seem to communicate with each other and the loan officer in California would not answer her phone or return my phone calls in the week prior to my very negative experience that led me to secure financing through the dealership. Last year I couldn't get a loan through Denali FCU "Nuvision" and ended up becoming a member and financing through Alaska USA in a single day. I plan to migrate my accounts over to my Alaska USA account in the next week and will be bringing my wife and adult child over with me as well. read more

This isn't even my bank but I felt the need to leave a review after having to deal with their (lack of) customer service. Someone left their NuVision card in our parking lot, so I thought I would call and try to see if they could get a hold of them about getting their card back, since obviously I don't have a way to reach the cardholder directly. Their listed hours online are incorrect- they close at 2 on Saturdays, not 6 like they list. Trying to call them goes nowhere, no matter which branch you call, half of them go to message boxes and half go completely dead. There is just nobody answering the phones. The suggested wait time is a huge underestimation. I was told I would be on hold with their call center for 10 minutes, and waited 30 before finally giving up and hanging up. If you lost your nuvision card recently, I'm sorry that your bank has made it impossible to return it to you. I cannot imagine their customer service is much better for their actual customers, which is a scary thought where your finances are concerned read more

Navigating the COVID pandemic and PPP loans has been extremely stressful and confusing. We were beyond pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service and guidance offered by Derek Dykman, and his crew Maka and Joseph. We received prompt and thorough responses and guidance, as well as words of encouragement throughout our process. We had success with the SBA and government and I dont know that we could have done it without the Nuvision team. We haven't even met the entire team yet (because of the pandemic), but we know they are right there if we need them. I had a car loan through Denali which went fine until it was time to resolve it. I paid off the loan in person at a branch over a month ago. They told me they would mail the title within 10 business days. Except they never did. When I called them 3 weeks later, they said they still had not mailed it. This was actually fine, as we had decided to sell the car in AK, and my wife was now back up there. She could just pick it up. WELL . . . I have now had to deal with their call center wait music 4 times in the past few days, including twice today. Each time I was assured that the title would be ready for pickup, but my wife went there . . . they couldn't find it. They couldn't find my record. Not quite ready yet. This institution does not have its sh-- together, end of story. I would not recommend anyone I know to do business with them if they expect prompt or sensible service. This issue is still not resolved and it could wind up costing me money, at which point I may choose to pursue legal action. read more

I really do like this bank compared to my Alaska USA, but unfortunately since they did their system update my card has just stopped working numerous times. There is more than plenty amount of funds in the account but the card simply does not work. The first time this happened it was on a holiday weekend and all banks were closed, on top of that they closed due to the "system update" so we had to wait a whole 4-5 days to find out what was going on. Luckily we were able to still use the ATM, but the inconvenience was, and is now again, a huge issue. Currently on hold, so far, for 15 minutes trying to resolve this issue yet again. If they don't get a handle on this we will be going back to our Alaska USA for all of our banking because not having access to your money is a big problem. EDIT: Spoke to an extremely rude and ignorant representative who tried to tell me that I gave them an old PO Box I used to have 10 years ago, even though we opened this account last year and I would have never given them this address. Instead of offering to update the address to make sure it was current he proceeded to argue with me and insist I gave this information when I know I didn't. After telling him I needed to speak to his manager, and waiting an additional 10 minutes on hold, we worked out the issue. Why do I have to speak to a manager to get my issue resolved in a professional manner? They need to hire more customer service competent employees. read more

Jolene Man needs to go to customer Service counseling. Does not know how to treat members at all. She seems like she hates her job and shouldn't be given the right to supervise anyone due to her lack of leadership. Uneducated and very rude. I use to love banking here, I can't wait to refinance my loans and cut off everything I have with them. I use to recommend people here even my colleagues to get their lpans through them because how easy it is to talk to them. Even one persom can ryin that relationship. I'm not a perfect person, I'm one of the many members here that have financial issues from time to time but I do want to say that an understanding and respectful credit union will attract many more businesses if they stick with their core values. I hope that anyone who sees this will reconsider them. They do have great employees, but the leaders seem to be the one bringing this business down. read more

Bank kept requesting additional information and waiting until the scheduled closing date to request it and this was coming from the "senior" loan officer. I second Phyl. L.'s review, but add that the customer service has declined from great to very poor. Wait times are very long, due to the fact that even though there may be 5 Tellers in the building, only 2 are taking customers. Most of the time, my name is mispronounced, or my last name is made into a first name. Several times, I was skipped in the queue. Today, a teller was not wearing their face mask correctly, and after I asked for another teller I was not called again, rather people that entered the building after me. I had an instance where they called me to "make sure that" another person that I have a joint account with would contact them about another account. I am not stupid, so I can figure out that this person is delinquent on the account I am not part of. I confronted them about it and they were very defensive and admitted no wrong-doing. read more

I've banked with this entity for years. Time after time they have failed me, yet I remained in an attempt to avoid having to transition and to allow them time and an opportunity to rectify issues. I have been told one thing in-person regarding home loan rates and options and another over the phone and via e-mail; their responses were ultimately cold and insensitive. They are inconsistent and lack appropriate customer service to address obvious customer concerns and clearly articulated issues. I've had problems with them prior to their merger with Nuvision and the problems have increased thereafter. I would under NO circumstances recommend them. They are also not progressive regarding providing sufficient accessibility options to their customers. Next to WF they are the WORSE institution that I have ever banked with. read more

This place has no customer service and the rudest supervisor by the name of Cassandra ceesay. They reported my account 30 days delinquent which it wasn't and they refuse to fix it . I will be writing lettters to CEO's and emails until this is fixed. Shame on you guys for taking advantage of people when they pay their bills. I'm not 30 days late and I have proof. According to mrs ceesay my due date is the 30th of every mousse says otherwise she says they go off ur last payment posted .., which to me and other resources I have it's illegal you have to be more than 30 days late to report to credit bureaus I also will be contacting the better business bureau. I was reached out by the company and as I was told to email them so they can Assist me with this . I did that 7 days ago and as of today I still have not heard from the company. This is very disappointing that a company would very unprofessional. My next step now is better business bureau and a letter to the ceo of the company. Will not do business with this bank ever again. Well I still have not had this issue resolved. This company has terrible customer service. I have emailed left messages and it's sad that no one has the nerve to reach out to me. This is a long review, and like most people I don't do these often. However, I believe these mega corporations, and banks need to be stopped, and This is the best way to do it. So here goes. I decided to open an account with Denali Alaskan (at the time, nuvision had bought them, but had claimed to be keeping the local name, because of its heritage in the area) About 3 years ago, because I had started a business, and my current small bank was slightly difficult to access. It was fine for just a personal account, but with me needing to do more banking, I needed a new accessible bank, and one that could share branch with my old bank for family purposes. I was assured, and promised, that denali would be staying, and all their branches in my area would be offering share branch. Fast forward 3 years, Nuvision has completely done away with anything Denali related, they have closed most branches around town except for in frickin wal-marts, and share branch is now only available in one location all the way out on the edge of town, a 30-minute drive. If thats not enough, I am constantly bombarded with calls to verify transactions, even if I have made them multiple times in the past. And Then the online system is bunk, or I get a robot for 20 minutes until I finally find a person. I'm tired of it, and the only people you can talk to are low level workers, who are not responsible for any of these things I've been lied to about, or had change. There are now no local banks in my area. I'm forced to bank with global faceless entities, all because these greedy people buy up every little thing they can, and destroy any semblance of local hometown business.
