If you come see Stephanie be ready for her to drop some knowledge, praise! My hair is blue and was green before that and it's honestly the healthiest it's been, thanks to good advice and proper salon technique here at Nuve. Plus it's just a fun spot to hang out. I've actually been having my hair cut by Stephanie long before she came to Nuve. I still remain a faithful client and, a few years back, took the plunge into the world of fashion color- red, pink, purple, green, and blue. That has, of course, been over an extended period of time, and I always made an effort to follow Stephanie's professional advice and guidance. When I did blue balayage for the first time, I took her expert advice to remain in the cool spectrum of color and I've seen some amazing results! I also took careful note of all care instruction: not using shampoo with sulfate, rinsing with cool/cold water, shampooing less, conditioning more and so forth- it's just been a lot of fun and having colored hair has helped me connect with a lot of people as they admire my locks! I am so beyond happy with my overall experience at Nuvé! Upon arrival I was offered a drink and the staff was super welcoming and professional! My technician was Trinity and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND! She did a standard pedicure which was amazing! Then for my manicure I brought in an inspo pic and I was blown away at how she delivered. She took her time and even said "sorry it's taking so long I'm a perfectionist." That's the kind of service you want when you are getting nail art done! She was so friendly and good and what she's does- I'm definitely going to become a regular with her! In total the mani pedi took 3 hours and I'm so happy with how it turned out. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I paid $80 including tip for a gel pedicure here and still had to take a pumice stone to my feet when I got home. The polish job was also uneven. I was disappointed. The place is super nice and clean with a welcoming aura. The staff is polite and personable and greet you as soon as you come in. But for the price I paid the service I got is below expectations. We went in to Nuvé six weeks ago yesterday after calling around town and reading reviews like crazy. Nuvé was the first salon to take us on short notice (us being my husband and I). I had hair down to my butt to the point that I was sitting on it and my husband needed some of that beautiful hair on his head trimmed down. That first day happened to be a bad one for me. My neck was locked up (because YAY dystonia) and when I went in, I was having a hard time looking up or down. Stephanie was my stylist and was incredibly gentle, trying her best not to move my head. That in itself was a huge deal considering the pain of moving. The fact that she barely moved my head was nothing short of a miracle. But, I digress. The appointment was a stunning success with my husband's hair being beautifully trimmed to perfection by the amazing Ryan and my hair being transformed into something otherworldly and wonderful (as you'll see in the before/after photo). So, we made an appointment to come back six weeks later. Flash forward six weeks later (yesterday) and we're excited to be there, ready to be part of Stephanie's living artistry (yes, she's that good) and ready for Ryan to get his hands on my husband's naturally flawless hair. This appointment was something special, though. It was hot out and we'd brought in a drink for me. Steph was mid-dry and I reached for my phone to show her something and managed to totally destroy my to-go soda. It was on the floor and counter and I felt horrible. I thought, "She's going to murder me and I have got to do something!" She was so kind and reassuring!!! My brain immediately thought, "SHE TOLERATES ME! YASSS!!!" It may not be a big deal to you, but it was to me. At the end of the appointment, Steph had done it again and yesterday was just a touch-up.. but it felt like a renewal. I don't know how she does it, but she brought new life into my hair. She made it new and even brighter than before! The last two photos here are from yesterday and the difference is brightness. Steph is an artist and I can't thank her enough for what she's done here. Rest assured that if you make an appointment, you will not only get your money's worth, but you will come out feeling like a new person. Steph is honest and open with her clients about any concerns and questions. She is dedicated and has a passion for her job. Her and Ryan both are so talented and gifted in their craft and we will be going back many times. This is our home for hair. We love you guys! read more

Nuve translates to cloud- and this place will make you feel like you are on one! They opened June 2017 in a fabulous location smack dab in the middle of Old Town! The building is beautiful, spacious, with separate mani/pedi areas. Southwest Old Town style with beautiful woodwork throughout the adobe building, Spanish tiles, and red brick flooring. I was always known for having wild crazy colors in my hair. I am now a simple gal who likes to keep my hair one length and one color. When I was younger I always had bleached and dyed my hair myself every and any color you could possibly think of. I figured my hair will forever fade to brown when I dyed it my natural hair color, black, due to it being over-processed and me thinking I was a pro by teaching myself color on YouTube. My sister had always cut my hair or I would go to cheap places like SuperCuts or GreatClips thinking that a $10 haircut was the same as a $50 haircut and that people were just tryin to scam me out of my money. I decided enough was enough! My hair was dry, brittle, frizzy, hard to manage and not to mention twenty different shades of black ammonia-filled box dye from the local superstore. I set up an appointment with Stephanie. She is amazing! This woman is tiny but she has a huge caring heart! She will ask you what you want and actually listen to you. If you come in asking for a miracle she will be 100% honest with you and make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before she begins. My hair has a lot of red in it and she got it all out! She used to be a cosmetology teacher so she has a ton of experience under her belt. She even gave me a head massage before she started the cut!! Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Who doesn't love their head rubbed!? This place offers haircuts, color services are amazing! They use organic Kevin Murphy, it left my hair feeling as smooth as the day it first sprouted from my head! They do manis, pedis, facials, waxing, Brazilian blowouts, perms, acrylics, gel, etc! You name it, they can probably do it!! I do secretly hope that soon they will get paraffin wax. I am completely satisfied and I will never walk down the hair dye aisle at the superstore ever again! read more

I went in with a very sad green in my hair and left with a purple to pink ombre on my left and blue to green ombre on my right. The whole staff was very welcoming and helpful. this is in response to "melanie m's" review.......... first of all "melanie"!!!!! who makes a nail appointment an hour before you're supposed to be somewhere else???? if u had any sense at all, you'd know that a pedicure or manicure takes time and doesn't always happen at the "exact" time that you scheduled......due to the nail tech running behind or whatever the case may be. "i'm" the lady that was getting her hair done by "that lady" you're talking about......remember me.....the girl with the pink & purple hair........the girl who smiled at you as i walked by you and you rolled your eyes at me? you were only waiting for around 10 minutes so to lie and say it was 25 minutes is just wrong. then out of nowhere you said very rudely and with a really bad attitude......that you were leaving because you had an appointment that you had to get to. it's your loss honey because steph gives the best pedicures ever!!!!! i've been coming here for years and the service and people are extremely amazing and so sweet!!!! to hear you be so rude to them really pissed me off!!! read more

My friend and I came for pedicures and paid way too much for what the service provider offered. My friend got a 45 minute pedicure while I got a 30 minute pedicure. She shaped my nails crooked and I had to reshape and re paint them. Will not recommend or go back. read more

I've been coming to Nuvé for about a year now. It's tucked away and not necessarily the easiest to get to, but if you can find it, Ryan and Stephanie and the others will take excellent care of you. I usually have my hair cut by Stephanie but I've also booked massage sessions with Ryan and I accompanied my wife for a pedicure once. Ryan gives a very decent sports massage. I don't like a soft touch. I prefer enough pressure to work out the soreness in my body. Ryan does the job well. read more
