These desserts are beautiful and delicious even after carrying around for a day!!! Macaroons were good, caramel my favorite but a little chewy and crème brûlée was a little too rich and I'm a sugar fiend, but not as good as the other desserts!! I will go back!!

I rarely give glowing reviews of perfection but this little shop deserves it! Upon entrance, you'll notice it's a small shop with a smaller selection of pastries than some other bakeries around. But look closer and you'll see several intricate items, such as chocolates in the shape of a ball with swirls of color. It's near Christmas now so I'm unsure of the selection during the non-holiday season. Currently there are so many options for gifts. Ordered a latte (really good) to go with the lemon tart and tonka pastries. If you do the same, I recommend consuming the Tonka first. It's super rich and creamy in texture but lighter in flavor. Good on its own, but difficult to taste the flavor next to the knock your socks off lemon tart. The lemon tart was the perfect blend of sugar & tartness. It was all so good that we left with two more, plus two boxes of petite pastries, some macarons (these were alright but nothing close to Laduree -a bit too sweet and too saturated with coloring), and chocolates. Additionally, the gentleman that helped us was really friendly and spoke English.

Owned by Florian and Sandra Koller, a focus on traditional French Chocolates, Tarts and Cookies setting their Patisserie apart from other spots in Frankfurt, it was expectedly finding options somewhat picked over that two guests entered at 18h10, posted hours from 10h00 to 19h00 duly noted but staff rudely refusing two chairs upstairs before abruptly continuing "and we're cash only." Admittedly put off by such attitude, the young man with tan skin unapologetically adding a comment about how Espresso machines had already been turned off even though no one had asked for Coffee, it was nonetheless for the sake of having taken the time to visit that Dessert was taken to standing-tables nearby, a one-bite Cookie featuring Figs and Nuts quite good while L'Art Sucré's Pithivier had clearly suffered from a day on the counter with all but the very top layer lacking in terms of crispness. Never passing on Tart Tatin, the last one available also L'Art Sucré's final sale of the day as no other patrons entered prior to closing, the Pie leaves no doubt of the Koller's talents as everything from Cream to Crust was beautiful, and had the clerk not been so rude there's a good chance another visit would have been made later in the week to taste additional items.

Located on the west side of the city, and operating through two World Wars, Confiserie Graff…read morefocuses on recipes and techniques dating back nearly 200 years in a cozy setting that tourists will rarely see. Originally opened in 1832 and family owned since, accolades lining their walls predating both patrons as well as staff, it is immediately on entry that guests are surrounded on three sides by shelves and racks lined in sweets, some pre-packaged but the majority made that morning by Bakers who arrive around 03h00. German language and cash only, a situation common to Bakeries outside major tourist areas, it is only after navigating at least four-dozen choices that first-time guests should begin making choices, Cheesecake strongly recommended by the clerk proving thick and not over-sweetened while a slice of Bee Sting Cake upgraded by Apples maintained its familiar consistency thanks to Almonds on top plus buttery Crust along the bottom. Joined by four businessmen in the tiny dining area, all sipping Espresso alongside a Croissant, it was as they chatted that attention turned to similar Pastry with Almonds and Marzipan, the lamination somewhat lacking though flavor was good while an Apple Danish to follow fared similarly but much sweeter thanks to a generous drizzle of Icing. Attempting to save the best for last, a sphere labeled "Rodeiheimer Kranz" eating much like Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte minus Chocolate, it was for lack of Apple Strudel that a Lattice filled with Raspberries was selected, each bite dense with macerated Fruit complete with Seeds plus plenty of Butter.

Really really cool, Turkish place!…read more Sooooo can I say that this is "authentic Turkish"? I'm afraid I don't know much about that... However, I tend to say a big, big, YES. Why? Let me tell you! 1. The menu: I think I understand 1/3rd of it. Not because my German is that bad, it's because I don't speak Turkish and let me tell you. If the menu is in the "native" language of that business, me thinks it's a good sign. 2. The customers: All. Turkish. People. And I bet they know where to go for their Heimat cuisine. 3. Turkish signs everywhere.... Just sayin'. The food? Fantastic! Fried eggs with sucuk (spicy Turkish sausage) seriously awesome for breakfast. You get your proteines and a 'kick' from the sausage. If that didn't wake you up: order the Turkish moccha. Be careful! It's suuuuuperstrong coffee! If you're not used to coffee drinking much, please be careful. You'll be a bouncy ball all day. They open early in the morning (07.30), so if you need a coffee to go or an early breakfast? It's a place for you to try out! Go wild! Be daring! Go Turkish!

And Yes Mr./Madam App. That Turkish Mocha was shining in my face that morning, dark and strong. It's early and in the morning a strong Joe or it's derivative is what I want. I liked Simit Sarayi the second I stepped in the door based on the decor of light wood and bright yet faded lighting. When I saw all the shiny/light brown pastries and deserts the part of my brain that knows flaky /chewy/baked goods is coming kicked in and started creating a tiny bit of a salivating and a slight involuntary grin out of my morning dullness. Now to choose, especially since these flat circle sandwiches with cheese inside just came out or one that was already sitting there. And the Schokolade brownies also looked good. I chose by appearance in texture and got a Pogaca (Hackfleisch). I think I liked the Pogaca a little more than I liked the Turkish Mocha, maybe I am too used to American/Columbian style coffee. The Turkish Mocha was a bit sour. It was bold but not as strong as in appearance or assumption. No milk, no sugar is the way I go sometimes and this is one of those cases. It came in a little cup: cappuccino style and the bottom half was the left over sand from the grind, not edible. Good in flavor and aroma (medium) but it's like a shot of sour, semi-bold, semi-hot, shot of wake-up. The Pogaca was soft but not too soft as in cake like softness, a lightly dense, chewy, a tad of airiness and seems like the right amount of butter incorporated in. With the Hackfleisch, it add a nice tasty touch, ground turkey meat (tasted like it)? There's seating in front and quieter in back. +Excellent Free Wifi
