I have been very grateful to have NAPS, they've been a lifeline prepping for and after we had our second baby! Living away from family and having an older child at home we knew we needed a trusted resource and I needed a support group. At first I thought I just needed a refresher and CPR course maybe a Veteran Bootcamp prep for baby class but after seeing all of the good things offered I signed up for the annual membership and I am SO GLAD I did! We've used everything from on demand how-to videos to their 24-hr response Ask a Nurse tool, to the amazing support group I joined for 'veteran (not first time) moms'. NAPS provides incredible lactation support. The process for insurance screening and scheduling was easy and very quick. I saw two different IBCLCs, and both were amazing. They are so knowledgeable, but more importantly they made me feel very comfortable and supported in feeding in whatever ways are best for our family. I have absolutely nothing but excellent things to say about NAPS. My early term infant and I struggled after coming home from the hospital with breastfeeding, and Ali and NAPS were there 100% for us. Ali was incredibly understanding of our disaster of an apartment (we have two dogs and cats and there was fur EVERYWHERE the first week with a newborn) and she was the single most supportive, helpful, realistic human I encountered during our postpartum life. I needed a lot of encouragement and support the first week that I wasn't doing anything wrong for our newborn and because of Ali and the NAPS team, we went from several days with 0 latches to exclusively breastfeeding by week three. The NAPS admin team (Gabi!) is wonderful too. She was always willing to work with me to find an appointment time that works, I had the itemized receipt for insurance within an hour of me asking, and they genuinely made me feel like I was doing a good job being a new mom. We tried them all. Only NAPS provided the consistent quality care that we felt was critical for our premature newborn. Anne was amazing! We had such a good experience with every NAPS nurse. Other services fell far short. It was clear that NAPS does an excellent job of training and coaching of their team, while other services do little, if any. This is a premium service, but you certainly get the quality you pay for. We used NAPS about 60 nights, and even used their daytime service at times. We have nothing negative to say. NAPS is beyond amazing. I can't recommend them enough - we had the best experience hands-down. We STILL utilize their online content, attend webinars, and ask them for advice/ help when needed. We are first time parents and don't have a lot of family that's able to help locally. We were also nervous about COVID and other cold/flu/ virus exposure for our newborn since the weather was changing and new COVID variants were emerging. NAPS was the perfect solution, and actually came highly recommended by my OB. We had a regular nurse (Lauren) who came once a week to care for our baby from September 2021 until January 2022. We loved it and are hoping to use their newborn services again someday! I only wish we could have signed up for more overnight care in those early days. read more

I cannot say enough about the amazing support my family received from the night nurses at Naps. I don't think we would've survived the newborn stage without them. While this was not a cheap investment, you truly get what you pay for with the level of care and service the team provides. I was pretty nervous about having people in the house with COVID, but the nurses were so understanding and willing to take a covid test upon arriving to our home. They always checked in to see how I was doing as a new mom and helped me troubleshoot challenges I might be having with my baby. They worked on extending my daughter's sleep so she started sleeping longer and longer stretches on the nights they did not help us. If my daughter was ready to go in the morning before I was, I would come downstairs to the nurses loving on her. They did little things to provide extra help (without me even asking) like preparing all of our bottles for the next day. The days we knew they were coming, we'd have a total sense of calm in the house all day.  The entire family enjoyed having them, even our dog wanted to be downstairs to visit. In addition to the support from the nurses who came overnight, we had access to regular calls with Ellen, who is an NP. She is a baby whisper and sleep guru. I credit the nurses and Ellen for my daughter being an amazing sleeper. If I am fortunate enough to expand my family, there is no doubt I will be calling the Naps nurses again for help. I highly recommend Naps for their night nurse services, new moms groups, baby bootcamp and online membership. read more

It's so rare to find a business on Yelp that has *perfect* reviews and even rarer when it has to do with children (throwing shade at all us entitled parents out there)... But Boston NAPS is totally the shiznit. When my expecting friends ask me for tips, my actual #1 response is "Schedule an at-home lactation consultation with Boston NAPS for as soon as you get home." We had quite a wild first week in our house when we brought our baby home--the sucker just wasn't eating and then when he was, he was rejecting the boob and freaking out. The LC came and in 2 hours (seriously, they offer a 2-hour initial meeting), we covered so many things and I felt so much more confident and prepared. We also get a really detailed note about the visit so you don't have to make yourself crazy trying to remember everything. They also have great availability because no one wants to wait for weeks to get help with their child! I also attended the 6-week "Mom's Survival Guide 101" class and it was such a great way to connect with other new moms, air out our crazy (but normal) grievances, and get our questions answered by an actual expert. Jamie (at the Southie location) offers extremely practical and real--but also research-supported--guidance. read more

I am so happy the hospital lactation consultant recommended Boston NAPS in house lactation service. They came to my house twice, and both times the consultant was incredibly helpful and supportive. They helped me fix my baby's latch and showed me how to pump. The appointment was so easy to schedule and having someone come to your house instead of having to trek out to an office was amazing. They bill you directly but give you a detailed invoice you can submit to insurance. I also tried their baby fitness class and it was a lot of fun! I'm hoping to try their music class at some point as well. I also took a webinar on getting babies to sleep and found it helpful. We worked with several overnight nurses when our son was a newborn, during the first four months of his life from September-December 2021. Both of them were OUTSTANDING- super professional, knowledgeable, loving, and caring. They both took AMAZING care of him overnight so that dad and I could get some much needed sleep. Overnight they took care of feeding, diapering, and soothing. In addition, they made very helpful observations and gave suggestions to us when they were asked. Both nurses stayed up the entire night watching the monitor, ready to intervene/help out whenever needed. Scheduling was easy and everyone from start to finish was wonderful to work with! I thought my breastfeeding journey was going great, but after a dip in baby's weight I decided to reach out to NAPS and book a consult to get ahead of any concerns. Baby was nearly 5 months. I'm so glad I did! I was able to book a home visit for the next day. Alli the LC was amazing. She reassured me, encouraged me, and helped me develop a pumping plan for my return to work. I went back to work this week (and baby started daycare!) confident and proud knowing I was doing everything in my power to keep my baby fed and happy while we were apart. I'm so grateful for this. You don't need a problem or struggle to book a LC, I wish I knew this earlier! I would have booked before baby was born to be better prepared for all the challenges and triumphs of breastfeeding. For our third baby we hired Boston Naps nurses to help us get through some nights. These women are incredible! Each one of them came into our home calmly and gently took over care of the baby. They are patient, kind, understanding and very good at what they do. As a nurse myself, my standards are high and Nurture by Naps does not disappoint. If you're considering it- do it! Wish I had read some of these before getting a lactation consultant for my newborn. The consultant was judgmental and made me feel as if it was my fault-- my body's fault-- that I was having difficulty breastfeeding newborn. Insult to injury, it cost $300. The follow up email we received read like a business plan-- dehumanizing. You are better off Googling. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. It specifically says non judge mental on the website and I found that to be the farthest from the truth. I signed up for a sleep consultation when I was in the throws of sleep deprivation with my daughter. The nurse who called me was rude, judgmental, and super combative. She told me she couldn't offer me any kind of support as parents should not sleep train before month 6 and that it was irresponsible. I found another amazing company that provided guidance and within days I had a much more manageable situation. I would not recommend any one to Boston naps. New moms are judged enough, you don't need to pay for a company to make you feel bad. read more

Like many (all) new moms, after having my first child I felt incredibly overwhelmed and ill-prepared. I'm so grateful that my pediatrician recommended NAPS to me. I started with a lactation consultation with Jamie. She was so kind and made me feel confident that I had the knowledge to navigate EBF. I took copius notes from everything she taught me and used it with my second child as well when we struggled with weight gain early on. Beyond lactation consultations I used NAPs for car seat safety, classes for both my daughter and me, CPR classes, sleep consultation, and overall general fantastic Insta content. I cannot recommend NAPS enough. I had heard of NAPS mostly because I live in South Boston, and had seen their office on West Broadway. Shortly after coming home from the hospital with my son, I was in dire need of a lactation consultant. I contacted NAPS and they had someone at my home the very next morning. Their lactation consultation helped put together a plan that made an enormous difference in my milk supply and I continued to work with her during my first few months postpartum. Shortly after, I opened my trial membership to their Nurture by NAPS platform and I loved it so much I immediately became a member. It gives you access to tons of resources on everything from pumping at work to nap schedules, starting solids and what to expect as your baby grows. The absolute best is the "Ask a Nurse" message board, which is exactly what it sounds like! A nurse or nurse practitioner will respond to the questions you post, on anything from baby sleep troubles to sunscreen and everything in between! This alone is worth every penny of the membership. I soon joined a New Moms Survival Group, and it's amazing what a difference it makes to your mental health when you have other women experiencing the very same things as you at the exact same time. Lastly, I booked a consultation with the sleep guru herself, Ellen. I cannot stress enough how dramatically this wonderful woman has changed my life- she is absolute magic in every way, and there are not enough thank you's in the world. Overall, everyone should leave the hospital with their beautiful baby and a NAPS membership. read more

I took all of my pre-natal classes before the birth of my first child with NAPS, attended two of their Moms Survival Groups, have had night nurses through them, and so many more great things provided to myself and my family. NAPS classes are such a balanced, funny, realistic mix of evidence based information and include the emotional impact of pregnancy, birth and baby. I have used Boston NAPS for a variety of things - car seat installation, breastfeeding class, lactation consulting, pumping class, and the mom's survival guide. All were great and completely worth the money. Despite how prepared I was to breastfeed, I had a low supply and probably would have given up breastfeeding if it hadn't been for Alex's consultations. She gave me realistic steps and the confidence to keep going. My experience quickly turned around after her visit and now feeding is a breeze and we are about to reach our first goal of 3 months of breastfeeding. The staff is completely judgement free and every mom I've met that goes to Boston NAPS has been awesome. I feel like I'm a better mom because of the confidence Boston NAPS has given me. read more

We had the most amazing experience with Boston NAPS. I literally rarely write reviews, but their service was absolutely amazing. We worked with Laura, who was a complete lifesaver. Even before arriving, our doctor had recommended nipple shields, which were not to be found at any of three local CVSs. The last CVS suggested we try Target which is a long car ride away. Laura WENT TO TARGET FOR US on the drive over! And that was just the start. The session with her was amazing and so reassuring. Not only did she give us confidence and make us feel better about the process, she also 100% assessed our issues. Our son has been a completely different baby since she came and we have actually gotten some sleep. I would absolutely recommend Boston NAPS to anyone. I have been meaning to write this review for 11 months after I had such a wonderful experience with Jamie for her phone consultation for my youngest daughter. I was formula feeding and very anxious about my baby taking enough and not throwing up. Jamie was so amazing. So calm, nonjudgemental, and thoughtful. I'm sure Boston Naps provides excellent care to the new parents and people who employ them for their services. As someone looking for employment from them I find them to be extremely unprofessional. A couple months back I had an interview with them and I was professionally dressed and came prepared with adequate questions. During the interview the woman who interviewed me dropped the F word more times than I could count. She was nice but I found to be extremely inappropriate under the circumstances of an interview. She said I was great and more than qualified for the position. I reached out within 24 hours of the interview and never heard back from the woman who interviewed me. Finally, nearly two months later I heard back saying they "went in another direction." Like I said I'm sure their lactation consultants and nurses they provide for families are highly qualified, but from my experience I wouldn't want to do business with someone as unprofessional as the woman who run this company. read more

I could not be happier with my experience at Boston NAPS. I felt very alone and isolated for the first couple months after my son's birth before a co-worker and fellow new mom introduced me to the Boston NAPS mommy and me work out classes. They were AMAZING. To get out of the house with my baby, get a work out in and meet the most amazing new moms who were in the same boat as me was the most unbelievable experience. I wound up doing the Mom's Survival Guide program with a group of 10 women that met on a weekly basis for six weeks where we had open discussions about our babies, family, going back to work, self care, etc. Jamie O'Day is so knowledgeable and helped me get through huge milestones with my baby - he was sleeping through the night at 3.5 months! I honestly cannot say enough good things about Boston NAPS and the entire staff of nurses and fitness instructors. I have begun great new friendships with new moms in the area and hope to stay apart of the Boston NAPS family for years to come. read more
