I had a whole home heat pump installed in January 2025. I had a lot of questions on different…read moremodels and their team did a great job chasing down answers to my questions and following up. Once work was scheduled, they were very prompt and clean. There were a lot of guys between electricians and HVAC and they did a relatively quick job. I only had 1 weird thing happen. After install, they let me know that they needed to set the thermostat to have the back up heat come on at 35 degrees but after the Massave inspection they would come back and turn it down. I was dragging my feet on the Massave paperwork a bit until I got my first electric bill for $800! I contacted Massave to get them out for the inspection, but they told me they don't do an inspection and also don't recommend the setting the technicians told me were necessary and contributed to my huge bill. I informed Essex County Craftsman and they told me they would get back to me. I never heard back so I figured out how to do it myself. Still not sure if I chose the appropriate temperatures for my system but I just can't have another bill that high. It sounds like the communication between Massave and authorized technicians is not great and I hope this improves.

I had no idea that companies existed for the sole purpose of cleaning out dryer lint. After owning…read moremy dryer for about 3 months, it started to complain when running it on high heat. Ever since (about 3 years), I've had to run it on the lowest heat setting, for multiple runs per load, just to dry my clothes. Fast forward to around two weeks ago. I smell some type of burning rubber/electrical coming from the dryer, after running it for about 2 minutes. Immediately shut off the dryer and start panicking. Called the dryer manufacturer, they told me about dryerventwizard.com. Immediately scheduled an appointment. Matt just left, he was awesome! Inspected everything, told me that the exterior roof vent grate had become blocked, which had stopped any air flow out of the dryer. As a result, a massive amount of lint had backed up into the dryer. No wonder I smelled burning... he said it could have started a fire on the very next run. He spent around 1.5 hours thoroughly cleaning out the lint from the back of the dryer and the metal duct going through the roof. Thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, and super helpful. Cost a bit more as this was the first service, but as I understand the next service (if on time), will waive the $49 inspection charge. Honestly, the price of $300 was entirely worth it for the peace of mind alone. I was thinking that my dryer was toast, that I'd have to buy a new one and move into a new location. Nope, Matt saved my bacon in more ways than one. Dryer can run on full heat again, and my weekends are now saved!

No way to access the vent inside as it is a stacked unit inside a narrow closet. We've lived here 9 years and hadn't had the vent cleaned, but noticed our dryer was taking several cycles to dry a load. Vent Wizard went up on the roof, took pics (see below), and measured the air flow and heat while the dryer was running (effectively zero). Scrubbed it out, and now our dryer works as designed and I don't have to worry about a fire. Thank you Vent Wiz!!!

I had an issue with my basement where Peniel was called into remediate the damage that was done…read more Peniel told me "they wouldn't warranty their work" if the whole grout wasn't removed under the tile in the basement since "it gets under the tile in sits in the grout". Fast forward a few days of difficult labor and issues - my floor has 70% grout left on it or so - I guess the previously done floor was over grouted - and it was tough to get up. Another day of work goes by and I ask them how things are going - one of the employee's says to me "don't worry about the rest of the grout - when they do the floors over they will use a self leveler and it will fix the issue. Me going through a ton of stuff and not being a professional in the field said "okay, you know best.:"... Come to find out my contractor said that he can use that but so much of the floor was unloved he would have spent a TON of money on cement since its in high demand - I am now paying a contractor for a job that should have been done properly and not cut corners on... Now I'm trying to get in touch with peniel and they are ghosting me. No replies to my emails with pictures and descriptions of my issue. I shouldn't have been mislead - I shouldn't be paying for something to get done twice.. Peniel is terrible and I can't believe this is the type of service someone provides when they are given almost $15,000 to remediate about 700 (give or take) Sq foot of basement. I am let down that a company that is in charge of such health and safety related items can work so poorly - I had to follow up on things that I shouldn't need to follow up on. I am going to be all over this until I get a check back for the two days of work my contractor has done - because expecting me to pay someone to do the job I paid to do is unacceptable. Dodge my emails and ill find new routes to go about this.. Ill see that this gets to the BBB as well as google, Facebook, instagram and all other relevant places. If I can save anyone else by getting screwed over by such lazy practice than this is worth it. attached are pictures of what the bathroom looks like since im having a hard time finding the prior family room pics. But I added what it looked like after massive amounts of labor and cement cost as while as grinding days of grout. Shame on you guys!! I Did the worse part of your job anyways.
