I am convinced they are running this school for profit and lack empathy and sympathy towards their students. Despite being a straight A's and B's student, the teachers at AIAM would fail me and my classmates as they pleased, without being held accountable. This teacher's actions were not only unethical, but also had a negative impact on the students' education and mental well-being. It is concerning that someone who was not cleared by their doctor to teach was still allowed to do so, putting her students at risk. The failure of the entire class is a clear indication of her incompetence as an educator. The Director of Nursing does not know how to do her job, and the school shows no concern for the success of their students. In my class, we were split into two groups and our teacher had to go back and forth between the two classes, resulting in inadequate teaching and a high failure rate. Despite this, the school would still place the blame on the students for not understanding the material when they never properly taught us. It seems like they are always looking for any reason to fail their students. This school lacks professionalism and effective communication from teachers. There is no clear curriculum and changes are made without informing or teaching the students the new methods. Students are not given the support and guidance they need to succeed. This may be due to discrimination against students of color. Additionally, when students try to address their frustration and disappointment, they are treated poorly or punished. It is not worth sacrificing your mental health, money, and time at this school. It is better to go anywhere else.

About two years ago, I earned a bachelor's of science in nursing online, and I felt very satisfied with the quality of the professors and curricula. I appreciated that the program accepted many transfer credits from my previous degrees and that they did not charge me out-of-state tuition other than a small fee. In all of my classes, the professors were timely, comprehensive, and respectful in their online communication. The program required me to buy only one textbook, because most professors provided PDFs to download for free. I enjoyed that the classes (e.g., foundations, cultural competence, community health, management, informatics, interprofessionalism, and electives) included much content about evidence-based practice and research. Since my graduation, I have continued to follow the nursing program online, and I feel very proud to be an alumna!

Lynn Gallagher Ford and her team are energetic, full of life and practical advice and evidence, evidence, evidence! Nycie did a great job catering. Wow! Talk about French Toast! I hear most nursing students at this college decide to stay local, so the nursing shortage won't effect them as much. Wow! That says a lot!!

Each class you will do a variety of blood draws, finger sticks, and injections, not on an orange or rubber arm.. nope on each other or the instructors (fully under their supervision at all times!!). You will be confident walking out of there that you can properly locate and draw blood the proper way without hurting anyone or digging for the vein (we've all had those). David instructs in detail the fundamentals of a medical office, client care, the process of lab blood work, the tubes, HIPAA,CPR,EKG,.. and so much more. I never thought at my age of late 30s I could wrap my head around new material or even pronunciation of medical words. David really helps break those barriers down, he has many concepts of ways to help you remember things like how the blood flows through the heart, veins, what their functions are and why, lab concepts of procedures and additives for each tube. I looked at many options when I knew, as an Esthetician, I wanted to cross over to the medical side. I'm so glad I made the drive to this establishment, I live in Cincy so every weekend I drove 1.5 hrs both ways, some times I stayed sometimes I drove back, so dedication is an understatement. It was my home for 10 weeks on Sat/Sun. I made the drive because I wanted hands on and let's be honest Quick turn around so I could move forward... I did not want to spend 6mths at a career center college, work full time and try to do all they need for the same certificate. Best money spent!

Other than that, I felt like the company was poorly run, and a little bit shady with all their extra fees. The lab and equiment that we were given to work with were a joke. Half of the hospital beds didn't work, the medical dummies looked like they were from the 70's, and they might have been. I did my clinical hours on a weekend with two instructors that I'd never met before. They were a husband and wife duo, and pretty unprofessional. They let us out early on the first day, because of having their own social engagements, which caused us all to get a phone call from Abed. If that wasn't awkward enough, the next morning, Abed's wife showed up to clinical, and yelled at the two nursing instructors in front of us, the whole class. She then said she'd never work with unprofessional people like this again. The whole situation was just so incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. During clinical, Larry, one of the instructors for the weekend, used the racist term "Camel Jockey", right in front of a classmate who was wearing a head covering. I was absolutely shocked, and pulled Larry to the side to tell him that he really shouldn't be saying things like that, and his response was that he was an old red neck, and used that term when he went into convenience stores too. Absolutely apalling. If you are looking for an STNA class, I would honestly save yourself the frustration and choose another program. I'm giving this place two stars, only because my instructor, Angie was amazing and a phenominal teacher.
