For those of you looking for a place that will help your kids out with school, this is one of the best and most unique places out there. Unlike Kumon and Sylvan, Homework Bound focuses on the homework the children bring home rather than bombarding them with additional work and exercises. The teachers help the students understand their homework first and reach the root of the problem that way. Thus, those who need some extra focus can get that and those who need additional guidance can receive that as well. The program focuses on organization and time-keeping skills that will help the children with their homework and can also be applied elsewhere even after they leave the center. The teachers are great, caring, funny, and also focusead. They are chosen very carefully and put a lot of heart into what they are doing. Mr. Vesagas, the director, is also a very caring man who devotes so much of his time to his program and the children. He is extremely passionate about helping each child individually and always makes sure that they stay on track in terms of finishing their work. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some extra tutoring for your child. While this isn't a "day-care," it is a great alternative to it. I also sprinkled in sports and art. Some weeks I chose half day and others whole day. The boys enjoyed the classes and made greater friends. The courses are taught by instructors with student assistants. The sports course my sons took (basketball) was not intense and was mostly fun. I liked that a hot breakfast was included in the camp price and they were able to purchase lunch or bring their own if they stayed for the rest of the day. This camp is great for students who want to maintain academics with flexibility of weeks to choose from. My boys are very shy and the fact that they felt comfortable and enjoyed going to camp is another reason why I'm giving five stars.

My daughter was bored - Spark is worksheets, and the extra fee for arts and crafts/drawing was them tracing and building crafts we could do at home.

He was pretty overwhelmed with the work at first, especially as we tried to figure out the different syllabi for home vs. school work, but it got more manageable as we went. My middle schooler didn't struggle with the workload as much, and really enjoyed the extracurriculars like art and dance. Overall, the kids very much enjoyed their teachers, made friends, and enjoyed the hybrid nature of the school.

If you require a locked down, rock solid kind of an arrangement then maybe this school's not for you.
