Wonderful experience with Mo! My lower back feels fossilized sometimes because it's soooo tight,…read morebut Mo was so thorough and put in a lot of work to help alleviate the pain and stiffness, which has plagued me for about 20 years. I am fit and I am a longtime yoga practitioner. I understand my role in managing these issues, but no amount of exercise can offset 8 hours sitting at a computer a day. A good massage is sometimes the only thing that can help when my body really starts locking up. Ive tried a number of massage therapists who are trained through westernized programs, and I even had a standing appointment with a wonderful reiki master who was a massage instructor for many years. Unfortunately, none of these therapists (who were legitimately excellent) were able to provide much relief for issues like persistent psoas tightness and snapping hip syndrome, etc. Mo is the first massage therapist who really made a difference in my pain and my low back and hip function, after just one session. I don't know if I truly do need deep tissue work or if it just *feels* as if I need deep tissue massage to me because of my usual experiences, but I always ask for deep work and rarely feel as though it's even close to being deep enough. A lot of massage therapists just don't seem to have more than textbook classroom-based understandings of the body, and they tend to try to use sessions to lecture me about the most basic things or assert their expertise, even while they're failing to recognize where my muscles are tight and how to actually address the tightness. That's why I decided to try an eastern-based practitioner this time. This was a fairly vigorous and intense session and I got the exact pressure I wanted/needed, without having to even say anything. It felt as though I finally got some release along my spine. She also did exceptional work on my shoulders and mid-back as well and gave a brief scalp massage. It made my whole week! Lalai is my new standing massage therapy provider and I highly recommend them, and Mo :)

My therapist was B. and she was excellent especially with the stretching that is inherent to Thai. Looking forward to booking again soon.

I found this place on Yelp. My daughter has a place in Georgia that I thought this was going to be…read morelike. I called a few days ahead to book. They didn't ask what I wanted or even my name. Maybe they have caller id? I was the first appointment and arrived early. I waited a few minutes before being greeted which was fine because I was early. Grace took me back to a room. I was doing a back and foot massage combo. I had to let her know before we started, because she didn't ask me. At the place in Georgia, you stay in a chair for foot massage and then recline for back massage. And you keep clothes on. I've had many massages in my life. This one threw me a little bit. Grace shows me to room, I get undressed as usual with a Normal body massage. I lay under the sheet faced down per her request. The sheet was thin and I moved the foot pillow but was able to get settled. Grace entered and said oh my! I didn't know what to think, she readjusted pillow and sheets. That was weird and awkward at first. The massage was epic and crazy pressure which I love. When she moved on to back my underwear went lower than I am use to. TMI I know but wanted to be sure to educate others that come here after. I am sure you could adjust if you wanted. At first, I was taken aback. If you could have filmed my face lol. Anyway, once I let that go, the massage was the best I have ever had. So get past being uncomfortable to enjoy the massage of a lifetime. There also may be some language challenges but a massage is a universal language. The technique used may not be for all, the pressure is pretty strong, that's what I prefer. I am sure you can discuss pressure options. I will be scheduling again with Grace. Great way to spend my PTO day.

I have been going regularly to Many Paths To Healing for massage since August. This is the first…read moremassage therapist I've consistently stuck with. I highly recommend booking a trial massage to see if she's a good fit for you. The main reason is that Amy gives a great massage! She asks me every time what areas I'd like to work on and remembers my massage preferences. She knows the anatomy of the body so well and how to help those small (or large) body things that are bugging you. My shoulder pain I came into her office with this summer is now gone. Also, her office smells great and always puts me at ease. It's something that can make or break an experience where you're supposed to be relaxing! The communal space of the collective and her personal space up the stairs just work really well. Booking is easy online, and affordable - especially if you become a member and get the discount for once+ a month massages. Finally, Amy is also a reiki master and a shamanic energy healer. She takes healing work seriously, in whatever form in which you're most comfortable. 5 stars, will return!

As a licensed massage therapist, I specialize in various techniques, including deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Swedish, and gentle light-touch massage, all enhanced by aromatherapy for a complete sensory experience in every session.
