Unfortunately, the chicken teriyaki was a big miss for me. It was extremely peppery and also a bit on the salty side, and I really didn't enjoy it. The California roll was decent, but the shrimp and vegetable tempura was actually deep-fried really well -- crispy and probably my favorite part of the meal. The miso soup was disappointing because the pieces of tofu were really cold. Overall, the meal was just okay for me. The atmosphere and service were nice, and I enjoyed the tempura, but I wasn't a fan of the teriyaki or miso soup. If I'm in the area again, I'd probably try a different sushi restaurant. ---- After the restaurant's response to my review, I do want to clarify that my 2-star rating is based primarily on the food (Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box). I agree that the service was good and that I enjoyed the atmosphere, but good service and ambiance don't necessarily earn an additional star when the main part of my experience -- the food -- was disappointing. Of course, taste is personal, and I understand that not everyone will feel the same way about a dish. However, that doesn't change my personal experience or how I choose to rate it. Here is what we ordered: Tempura Combo, shared as an appetizer 2 Coedo beers (served alongside chilled beer glasses) Seaweed salad 3 Nigiri and 2 few rolls My favorite nigiri was the fatty tuna (toro) which I haven't had too much of before; but now I am a fan. It was buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I also tried the salmon (sake) nigiri and the escolar. Our sushi was served on one big platter with pickled ginger and wasabi. Their tempura was fried to order and came out so fresh. I'd describe their kitchen as semi-open, so while I couldn't see their deep fryer from the dining room, I could hear the sizzle. Their service was really friendly, and during the course of our meal; there were several costumers who came in to pick up to-go orders.
