Their customer service is a joke and will not address your concerns and only give canned responses. Do not order anything from this company!

Reparations Club Bookstore is a hidden gem located one block west of intersection of Crenshaw Blvd…read more and Jefferson Ave. on Victoria Ave. It houses a great collection of books written mostly by authors of the African diaspora, and LGBTQ community, but I went there specifically for a book signing and reading, so unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to really take everything in. The store also stocks other items of interest, like a collection of tarot cards. Rachel True, seen below, designed her own deck and authored a companion book to pair with it. It was boxed so beautifully--and autographed!--I just had to purchase a set to add to my collection. I also walked away with a second autographed copy of Tananarive's latest book, Maywood, to send to my daughter as a surprise, and lastly, a Reparations Club tote bag to carry all of my haul back to my car. My daughter and I read her previous book, The Reformatory, simultaneously, and would discuss it once a week (she lives in another state). As I was leaving, I noticed a cozy little area set up towards the front of the store that had a few comfy-looking chairs and large, plush sofa. Maybe there was a chess set, I honestly can't recall now. The entire place is just a cool, chill vibe and the people who work there want you to feel welcomed. You can always purchase books and related items online for less, but money simply cannot buy COMMUNITY. And that was the feeling I got the moment that I stepped into the Reparations Club Bookstore. Let's continue to support this COMMUNITY GEM

Dougie got me checked in at the register and my eyes were spending money while looking around the space at each of the delicious reads. With my trusty notebook, I tried to capture as many terms and ideas possible, while Ashia read from their book and presented information about various plants, thought-provoking quotes, and organizations to support. Being in community with others interested in plants, community gardens, and herbalism felt fulfilling. I found a few cool items to take home (puzzles, word searches, and books for Christmas gifts (gotta start early). Looking forward to the next event so I can bring a friend.

Captivating merch shop within Sachi.LA felt like I was emerged into a anime scene of Jojo's bizarre…read moreadventure. So many cool items , and colorful designs on clothing. Seen some dope overalls, hair clips, crystals, even ceremonial grade matcha. Definitely coming back on a day I can shop around. Now for my Chai Latte made with oat milk added with an espresso shot, and matcha (mind you I never drink matcha) with a little honey for the sweet taste got me feeling good! Tastes fire too! I'd think of it as a The Dirty Chai-Matcha. I like mixing flavors and this one Go! I should do a bit of cinnamon next time. Ooowwweee! All baristas and staff are very friendly, and have the best energy when visiting. Love the gift shop, and the creativity of crafting beautiful pieces to acquire for your style, wardrobe, coffee table, and or for your home/work office. Definitely a great place for a good pick me up if feeling tired or need a good boost of energy. Blissful experience within; Much love and respect to all.

I went in to look around and wanted to buy some plants. The person behind the counter acted like they were better than everyone else. They didn't say hello or ask if I needed help--just sat there reading a book in silence. But when an older white lady walked in, they suddenly said hi. I thought I was imagining it the first time, but the exact same thing happened on my second visit. I also bought a plant during my first trip. Everything feels a bit overpriced too. I was trying to support a small Asian-owned store, but I guess I shouldn't bother. Some people just want to be stuck up. I probably won't go back. Good luck to them.
