Tamala, the front desk receptionist was exceptional. So pleasant and helpful. I have had different dental hygienists over the years, but Gina, whom I saw today, has consistently stood out for her positive, and professional manner. This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It is obvious that the management has done a great job. This is a great dental practice.

I was damn near extorted out of an additional fifteen hundred dollars. I have dental insurance which had covered my visit fully. I was told that no matter what the insurance paid, that I would have to pay an additional fifteen hundred dollars. THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING!!!!! I had three people pounding it in to my head! After speaking with my carrier, I found out that JFD is under contract with them(which I knew) and had NO BUSINESS demanding one more dime(which I didnt know). They (both the "Dr" and the front desk) made absolutely sure that I was aware of the additional charges before I walked out the door. Those poor girls are now part(probably involuntarily since they most likely need the job) of a conspiracy to commit improper transactions against the consumer. After finding out that shady demands were made I quite frankly didn't even want to go back but I needed to get the job done. I just wanted to get away from them as fast as humanly possible.I felt that I would have been scammed if I hadn't had a family member who straightened me out with regard to how dental insurance works. I spoke directly with the "Dr" on the matter who suggested that I don't "badmouth" him on social media. That was his concern. I kept my promise until today. The work has failed less than a year later. The margins are so bad(two outside reliable dentists agree)that now it will be several thousands of dollars to repair/replace the work from September a year ago. Despite a combination of outrages and the feeling of being SCREWED by substandard work I kept my promise to not say anything ....until now. I was promised that the work would last me the rest of my life. That promise was broken. That means all bets are off with regard to me "just don't badmouth me". I'll take a lie detector test to confirm this entire story. I guarantee he won't. Of course if JFD would would like to dispute this story they can try but that would be a huge mistake. Take the hit of this review and move on would be my advice. If JFD would lIke to cover my upcoming expenses as a result of their failure I'd be amenabe to that. Off to Trenton Monday. Terrible terrible terrible across the board. The dentist in the family has failed me big time. Thanks for nothing(except a four grand bill) If I HAD paid the additional fifteen hundred without knowing what I now know, I'd have called the police to see if fraud was a viable complaint. Outrageous prices, slick misleading "savings" plans, inexperienced employee (not owner) dentists…read more My experience was more painful than a root canal without novocain. They post obscenely high prices to get you to pay $300 to join their "savings" plan. After applying the 30% plan discount the prices go down to merely unconscionable. I went to a simple deep cleaning. At the first appointment I was charged $664 which means the original charge was $863, which seemed high but acceptable. I waited more than 30 minutes to get the cleaning, which took no more than 25 minutes I just went back today to get the second half done and was told I owed $664. I laughed and said, no I paid that last time. To her credit, the woman at desk looked embarrassed but said that was for the first half and I owed another $664. This means that the total bill would have been $1328, which was reduced 30% by my paying $300 to join their "savings" plan, making the actual charge for a routine deep cleaning $1726. To add insult to injury, they charge a 3% fee to use your credit card. Judging by the lack of surprise and embarrassment of the staff when I complained about this I am not the first person to feel this way. I saw no dentist, only a hygienist. I was in the chair for no than 25 minutes. I waited almost 30 minutes for treatment. When I was kept waiting again for the second visit I cancelled. I'll never go back to them again.

They then said I had to get it signed and get it back to them. My doctor did this about a month ago and again no call from them to schedule the appointment. I went to another dentist and they said there is no way to repair the damage Dr Heidi did to my enamel other than painting a protective coating once a year or getting veneers. She also tried to get me to get a crazy expensive antibiotic treatment ( which my doctor advised me not to get , because regular antibiotics would work at $20 instead of $5k if I did have an infection, which I did not) Dentist was also going back and forth between myself and another patient during my cleaning. Everyone in the office seems really nice and cordial.

I called because I was experiencing some discomfort, and tightness in my jaw, and Dr. Zuckerman hopped on a FaceTime call to help show me how to massage the muscle and what to take to alleviate the pain, especially since I wouldn't be able to get into the office. 10/10 would (and have) recommend!
