It's REALLY NICE - the owners obviously really love this place and reinvest a lot of money into it. It has a swimming lake that is several acres, with peddle boats, kayaks, etc. There are water slides and water trampolines and a little beach. There's putt putt golf, and really really great zip lines, and a snack shop that is straight out of the original Dirty Dancing movie (the good one, with Patrick Swayze). The RV sites are clean, nicely paved, and full service with electric, sewer and water. The tent camping sites are up in the trees and pretty. The place is well managed - there is security patrolling at night, they had live bands playing at night, there is a basketball court, fishing - lots to do for families. This is awesome for a family. They have a covered area where a large crowd could gather and have a cookout, gas grills supplied. Each site has a raised fire pit and nice picnic table. These would be premium sites anywhere else. Nice staff. Very organized. They have a well stocked store with some good snacks too. For anyone wanting to attend church there is a non denominational Christian church on the property. Play areas for the kids with nice equipment. Putting greens. They sell LP. They have a dog wash. This place is in the top few percent of RV resorts. We have stayed all over the US and can't name but a few that are equal. If you want to stay nearby, definitely check this out.

The bathroom and shower facilities are the cleanest I have ever seen. The staff is friendly and this RV park is very close to many attractions throughout the Amish Community. Tip: You can not place rugs on the grass- each site is paved so there really is not a need for one. Note: Restaurants, grocery stores and local attractions are not open on Sunday. Be sure you come prepared if arriving late Saturday or Sunday.

The pool was great an it's not…read morelike your typical pool, it don't have a shallow to deep end it's a shallow to deep (5ft) then goes back to shallow which is really nice, along with having a splash pad attached for the little ones! Next my son of course had to check out the game room an his eyes lit up at "how cool it was" most of the games are 25 cents to play which is a plus!! Also they have a really cool put put which we didn't get a chance to do, but they are half off to play on Sundays. They do have pony rides which is pretty cool also. They have two playgrounds here and the one is huge (too busy having fun, forgot to take a picture) but it was really nice! Also a huge shout out to the staff, every morning they would come by and clean out the fire pit so it was ready for a fresh use, that was awesome of them! Our cabin was C5 which had a little playground right beside us, which was super convenient for my son to play while I was cooking, he was close and could always see him. My only complaint is it's too dark, I know that sounds crazy but when my son an I was roasting marshmallows and trying to cook we were right at the woods edge an it was just jet black, you could barely see a few feet in front of you even with a good sized fire, the cabin light wasn't enough.

I…read morewas a little skeptical when hearing there was a free campground in this state forest but the reviews seemed really good so we decided to make it a stop on our way to West Virginia. The road to get to the campground was winding and very dark but when we arrived we saw a beautiful campground with paved spots. There are no amenities with only a vault toilet and water pump. Still the sites were nice and large. You pass several shooting ranges on the way to the campground. There is also a trail that loops around the campground.

This site is free! Hidden Hollow, in Fernwood State Forest, is one of three free Ohio campgrounds…read morewithin a half hour drive. Here are trash bins, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site, plus a well-blazed trail edging the campground. There are pit toilets in the center of the ring that do smell like free campground pit toilets, but they are far enough from the campsites that you'll be okay even on a hot summer day, especially if you're a ping with a self-contained unit. Our site had a great mix of field and tree cover with raspberries or other bramble fruits lining the campground. Hummingbirds, cardinals, nuthatches, and a concert of fireflies were fun to watch. The free part is especially good since there are pigeon, rifle, and handgun target ranges outside the camp loop, and you do hear them even on a Monday. And first thing Tuesday morning. This is a dry campground in every way so bring your own water. If you aren't target practicing, use your red cup and don't act like a rookie. About half the sites were in use the Monday night we stayed. Despite the ballistic sounds, the camp loop was quiet, and we had a very restful stay.

The camp host, John, was extremely helpful on providing where to find the nearest gas station. He offered me food and welcomed me in. He's the prime example of genuine hospitality. The campsite and bathroom were very clean. John is very attentive and you can see the care he puts into his work. Also, he has 25 years of experience with welding! In the near future, I'll be taking my family here. It's next door to sisters and close to east of Salem.

We loved the trash pick up, the wood drop off and the convenience of booking our rafting trip on site. The campground offered many amenities, and you can tell the staff take pride in the campground. That said, the layout of the campground could use some improvement. Unfortunately, the restrooms are placed in a way that encourages other campers to cut directly through campsites to get to them. We had multiple situations where kids were running up the hill into our site and even coming around our camper and truck, which was unsettling, especially since the parents weren't paying attention. It left us feeling pretty uncomfortable and put a damper on what could have been a perfect experience.

Couldn't do anything cause of mud. Roads were poorly maintained. Nothing good about the place. Maybe if they wasn't trying to make more site available on the day people was placed at these sites and it didn't rain. Which they couldn't control but they could have gravel their roads better.

We found this location, did some research and decided we must give it a shot, and wow, we will be back! We stayed in one of the Glamping tents....let me tell you, what a neat experience. Imagine a very large tent, with all of the amenities of a modern cabin. Complete with heat/AC, 2 bedrooms (queen in master, single beds in 2nd) complete with pillows and linens, 1 bathroom with a rainfall shower, dining room, living room with TV, kitchen with fridge, microwave, hot pate, sink, dishes, pans, utensils, hug deck with furniture and grill. Also included is a fire ring (plenty of seating even if you had to move a couple chairs down from the deck), and a wagon to transport our belongings from your vehicle to the tent. Plenty of outlets around the tent as well as a recepticle outside on the deck. We were very comfortable. The beds, the AC/heat unites, etc. all great. We were in a heavy thunderstorm last night and it was so nice in the tent. We can't wait to do it again. The camp ground is well-maintained by a very friendly and accomodating staff. We met the owner who was a very pleasant gentleman...always a plus seeing an owner working on-site! Our daughter and her friend took advantage of the pool and games, while my wife and I enjoyed lounging around. While it is not near a major city, there is Coschocton, complete with stores and restaurants. Recommend you visit Roscoe and also visit the country's largest inland lighthouse at Gospel Hill....it's pretty neat.
