I returned to the store (PEAKVIEW WAY, Bedford), checking if if fell on the way, no luck. They checked the camera to ensure that the clerk had put 2 cartridges in my bag and sent me away without satisfaction. They clerk had even remembered me. I can't keep paying for a 3rd cartridge when I hadn't even opened the 1st too!!

There is little variation amongst NSLC branches, with the only real variable being location size…read more ie. it's just like every other NSLC, so all I can really comment on is its size and perhaps customer service. The location has a very brand-new sparkly feel to it, and everything is well organized, which makes shopping there easy. It's one of the larger NSLCs I've seen with the possible exception of the Bayers Lake location.. so they are fairly well stocked with the typical NSLC fare. There's a wine tasting station, which was not operational on my last visit, so I assume it's kept for special events and promos. Definitely something I wouldn't mind trying in the future. Another appealing feature at this location is the large walk-in cooler section. It is very big compared to other branches, and with quite a variety of chilled beverages. Prices are absolutely terrible (especially if you spend a large amount of time in the US like I do), but that's not something that can be blamed on the store, since the government taxes alcohol to the max.

You can tell the owners genuinely care about the experience. The space was spotless, and I have to mention the bathrooms because they were exceptionally clean, which always stands out to me. The whole place also had this subtle scent of campfire and pine that gave it a cozy, warm atmosphere without feeling overdone. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming local bar in Bedford with a great craft beer selection, friendly service, and a unique vibe, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back.

Finally popped into this local pub early on a June Friday afternoon. It's a bright, attractive,…read moreairy space, with plenty of seating, including a small patio overlooking the car park. There's a full selection of wines, spirits and liqueurs, but the hook is the large (36) selection of local beers and ciders, advertised on the large board behind the bar. Apparently they rotate the selection on a regular basis, so there will definitely be something for everyone. No food, aside from the standard bar snacks, though they are entirely happy for you to bring stuff in and there are several decent establishments in the plazas either side of Brookline. It's a real community pub too, with a busy programme of music, comedy, quiz nights etc. Definitely need to check it out on a busy evening to get an idea of the vibe and maybe add the fifth star.

It's not a huge store, but they have a nice selection of what I assume are some good wines, mostly higher-end liquors, and a nice little niche that they seem to be carving out in the craft beer market, which is more of my bag. They have a couple racks and coolers of the many great beer offerings from around Nova Scotia, as well as regional ones like Picaroons and Dieu du Ciel. I just want to buy them all and stock my own beer fridge! The kicker though is the great idea that they had to offer growlers of beer for brewers that are located outside of the city and are unable to do so here. When I was there on Super Bowl Sunday they had their own RockHead pale ale (made by Garrison I believe), Butcher's Block Red and Hippie Dippie Pale Ale from Tatamagouche Brewing, and Boxing Rock's Vicar's Cross double IPA. Deposit on the growler bottles is $7, and re-fills seem to range from $10-$15, both plus tax. This is a fantastic addition to the neighbourhood, especially since this is in my go-to grocery store. I'm looking forward to quenching my thirst with RockHead's delicious offerings.

You ladies and gentlemen get hosed price wise in this province! Seriously sadly hosed! Some +'s : it's an aesthetically pleasant retail experience. Warm hues....nice design...reminds me of BC liquor stores. Iced than LCBO stores. Cool to see a small selection of NS wines! That's life but it's an expensive limitation to consuming alcohol in this province!
