The location has a very brand-new sparkly feel to it, and everything is well organized, which makes shopping there easy. It's one of the larger NSLCs I've seen with the possible exception of the Bayers Lake location.. so they are fairly well stocked with the typical NSLC fare. There's a wine tasting station, which was not operational on my last visit, so I assume it's kept for special events and promos. Definitely something I wouldn't mind trying in the future. Another appealing feature at this location is the large walk-in cooler section. It is very big compared to other branches, and with quite a variety of chilled beverages. Prices are absolutely terrible (especially if you spend a large amount of time in the US like I do), but that's not something that can be blamed on the store, since the government taxes alcohol to the max.

There's a full selection of wines, spirits and liqueurs, but the hook is the large (36) selection of local beers and ciders, advertised on the large board behind the bar. Apparently they rotate the selection on a regular basis, so there will definitely be something for everyone. No food, aside from the standard bar snacks, though they are entirely happy for you to bring stuff in and there are several decent establishments in the plazas either side of Brookline. It's a real community pub too, with a busy programme of music, comedy, quiz nights etc. Definitely need to check it out on a busy evening to get an idea of the vibe and maybe add the fifth star.

The store was much better laid out than my previous visit. I had no problem finding lots of local brews this time; there was at least one fridge dedicated to local craft beer. They now fill the 1L smaller growlers where they used to only fill the 2L not saying I am a lightweight but 2L is kind of a lot of beer to drink on a "school" night when you ain't sharing. Staff was pretty helpful this time around too. Had a good convo about local IPAs with the guy who filled my growler and he offered to checked their upcoming keg stock for me when he found out I was a fan of a particular brewery. He didn't like one of my favorite IPAs but I won't hold that against him. RockHead is much easier for me to get to than Bishop's Cellar. Look forward to becoming a repeat customer.

I have bought craft beer from the cool fridge here too, and like looking at all the different kinds of beer, from all around the world. We tried a nice beer on vacation in France and I was happy to see that they sell the same beer here too. And to my surprise, today I found out they have free cardboard boxes at the front of the store near the window. I was so happy! I have been in so many stores in BL looking for cardboard boxes to mail parcels in, and the other stores mainly tell me, no sorry, we crush them down right away. Here at the BL NSLC, I could take my pick from about 30 boxes, the size that can hold 12 wine bottles. Thanks! I enjoy your store!
