This will make you think twice if you're in decent shape or not. The instructor Yolanda was awesome and hyped everyone up throughout the class. I think she has a little mean streak in her though because just when you thought you're done with a set, nope, you're going to do three more sets! The studio is nice and clean. The floor was swept after the class and there's disinfecting wipes at the front to wipe down your mats. I highly recommend this place for an awesome workout.

I was hoping for the latter given their name. That being said it's a very clean studio. It's the only hot yoga studio I've been to that doesn't stink and isn't damp everywhere. I can't rate this studio higher because I signed up for a class that clearly stated "unheated" yet the temp was set to 87 degrees. This is really dangerous and misleading as there are legitimate medical reasons why someone would avoid a heated class (e.g. pregnancy). Assuming the class would be at a normal room temp, I did not pack water and their water dispenser didn't have cups. Again, just unsafe and lacks due diligence.

Hello Everyone, I have been attending Club Pilates for an…read moreinconsistent time of 6 months. I would rate my overall experience 2 or 3 of 5 stars based on my experience with the policies and classes. Reason being is because I was in a REALLY bad car accident during the months of attending, and I communicated with management that I wouldn't be able to attend for about a month or so. As I was in the 3 month contract commitment, management did assure me that the classes would be just rolled over to the next following months as long as I keep communicating with them. (Which I did) Eventually when I would talk to the front desk to communicate with them, they would tell me "well there is only so many times we can ask to roll them over", which I was in shock because management told me otherwise. This did result me into losing 4 credits because I had asked someone at the front desk to roll over my classes and she said she left a "note" for management. Which she didn't and I had to ask 2 more times with other women at the front desk. Thankfully I was able to get my 4 credit classes back and everything was settled. However, when I decided to put in my 30 day cancelation form with the man at the front desk, I still had to pay one more month which was fine. But then I was still charged for the following month, which was passed my end date. As I no longer wanted to attend after my pre paid reimbursed classes, they refunded me the wrongly charged month but cancelled my pre paid classes. Thankfully Lisa, was able to get me back into my classes from before, and I am very grateful. Now to the instructors. I am a 5 year 6 months certified swim instructor, and I know the importance of an instructor. My experience may not be the same as everyone else's which is fine but here we go. BEST TWO: Suzy: Teaching style: firm, tough but it's an overall GREAT work out, uses almost every equipment. Every time I come in, I want the class to be over because of how much of a work out she puts us through. Her personality is a bit more firm, so it's something to get use to. Overall she's a 10/10 Allie: Teaching style: gentle and patient but still tough and with nice burn of of a work out. Uses a few half of the equipment but I loved loved her personality. I truly felt welcomed with her. It's such a shame she only works Sundays. She is also a 10/10 Different Instr: Elizabeth, teaching style moderate to gentle/ firm. Uses a few of the equipment. I liked her until I over heard her telling someone else, on September 16th, "Some people are clearly not here to progress, so you would have to let us know if you want us to watch you to get to the next class." This comment was loud enough for many of the women to hear and we all looked at each other, clearly thinking to ourselves "that comment was rude and unnecessary." I never booked with her again. Work out 7/10 - personality 6/10 As you can see everything was so much of a hassle which is why I am glad to leave.

I had taken Pilates classes (both mat and reformer) before I started at CP and would say that while you'll get to practice some foundational Pilates moves, a lot of the instructors teach what I can only describe as boot camp style classes. This will vary from teacher to teacher but I have done just as many mountain climbers at CP as I have at orange theory. I should also mention that I am referring specially to the Flow 1 and 2 classes where the workouts can be more on the boot camp side than I'd expect from a Pilates studio (eg. tabata intervals, heavy use of TRX, bosu). I don't find this style suits my personal preference for a Pilates flow class as I go to other gyms for that type of workout. CP also offers TRX and Barre classes where I feel you should expect higher intensity / pace. In terms of class size / booking availability, the studio itself is on the smaller side which can mean it's harder to get into popular classes but this only tends to be a problem for a few instructors. This is also typical for most Pilates studios that offer reformer classes. Overall, this is a fine place to try if you are looking for something new! Take all reviews with a grain of salt, and keep an open mind! Maybe this is the right type of pilates for you!

I was having problems with injuries sustained during sports and needed more treatment than I could get from deep tissue massage. Not only was she able to masterfully release the chronic binding in my hips and neck, she taught me a series of pilates exercises so I could stay in shape without weight lifting. She also seemed to enjoy my singing during treatments (if you've been rolfed before you might understand why singing was necessary). Ok, maybe she just tolerated that--at any rate she put on a very brave face. She has high integrity and skill. A master of her craft. I completely trust her with my body.

I've seen Kathryn off and on for several years for rolfing only. I first went to see her before I…read moregot pregnant during fertility treatments to help get rid of adhesions and other muscle/body problems that my doctor thought might be preventing me from getting pregnant. She did the full series. After I got pregnant i went to see her throughout my entire pregnancy and I always felt better. During my second pregnancy I had severe pain in my back, legs, and hips (from caring a breach baby during the 1st pregnancy) she was able to help me then as well. Pros: Kathryn is extremely knowledgeable about the body and she can find problems and correct them. She spends the entire time rolfing. Some other practitioners talk for the first 30 minutes or more and do very little actual rolfing. She works your body the entire time. She is devoted and keeps taking more classes to learn her craft and it shows. She will make you feel better and she'll be honest about what your body problems are and how long it will take to heal. She also doesn't have you come all the time. Once she feels your body is better and you are no longer in pain she'll tell you that you can come in several months for a tune up. Cons: there are no cons about Kathryn but you should be aware that rolfing is not a massage. It can be painful especially if you have had misalignments or adhesions in your body that have been there for a long time. It can hurt to correct years of bad posture and other body problems. When it hurts tell Kathryn and she'll slow down and she'll teach you to breath through the pain to release it. You also will feel a bit sore for the next day or so after a session but after that you'll feel amazing. Also if you are doing the initial series there are some sessions that are awkward (like when they go up your nose and mouth). Just remember there is a purpose for it and that you'll feel better when she has her hands up your nose. My headaches and TMJ went away after she did the session up my nose and mouth. Rolfing is well worth it and using Kathryn is amazing. I can't say enough good things about her.

Be prepared for cuteness overload. I surprised my partner with this experience for Valentine's Day…read more I'm glad we didn't actually go on Valentine's Day because it's a group experience. Anyway, I was kind of intimidated by doing this for several reasons so let me just walk you through my anxiety (in case you're like me) and need your nerves calmed. First, the yoga. I'm not the biggest fan of yoga. Thankfully, this was a very basic yoga class. Also, there was a very relaxed feel because the focus is the goats. Expect side conversations and giggles every now and then and photographs being taken because, again, the goats. Next thing I was nervous about was the dress code. I ended up wearing sweatpants, sneakers, and a t-shirt which was the right decision in February. Still, there were some people that showed up in jeans and had no problem. Then, there was the drive, specifically the mention that I needed AWD. The check in actually happens at the entrance of the driveway which was not clear at first, but once there I saw the gathering of vehicles and it all clicked. AWD is definitely needed to make it past the entrance and even though I was given a number if I needed to contact someone, T-Mobile has no service so biggest thing here is do show up early if needing to be picked up. I left my water in my car but the owners (who are very nice by the way) provide water and tea and hot chocolate. Only thing you really need a heads up for is that the goats might bless you and that the bathroom is a compost one meaning sawdust instead of flush. The highlight of this whole thing goes without saying is the time with the goats (all 12 of them). They were all very friendly and cooperative when it came to taking pics for the gram. Highly recommend even if it's a drive away.

If you are a serious yogi that requires silence and challenging inversions, this may not be the class for you. But, if you're an animal lover and have a playful spirit, I highly recommend! This will not be an experience soon forgotten, and I have already started making plans with various friend groups to come back. A question I have been asked frequently was, "Do they poop on you?" The manager Lucy has a sense of humor about this and says that if you receive a "blessing", you will be given a free chapstick. Similar to small children, there are some signs of the goats are about to take a bathroom break, so many situations can be avoided. One girl did need to trade out a mat during our class when a goat peed on it (I don't believe she got wet), and a friend just missed a single pellet when we were taking pictures with the goats balancing on us after class. The pictures say so much more about this experience than my review can, so please enjoy!

I hate to sound like Goldilocks but some were too aggressive, some were way too easy or focused only on stretching, some were just not appealing. Then I tried Orangetheory! It has everything I need: a nice combination of core strength, cardio and muscle building, great music, coaches who are supportive but not overly pushy, fun people to work out with and motivational programs that get me coming back throughout the week. I don't feel like I'm competing with the person next to me. Their methodology and data tracking about every workout keeps me focused on the progress I'm making for myself! Whether you want a hardcore workout or you are just starting and need to pace yourself, Orangetheory could be a great place to go. Lots of studios all over the states so you never have to miss a workout...And the Morgan Hill location is awesome!
