When my daughter told me that her friends wanted to sign up with a group discount, I did a quick…read moresearch on Yelp and didn't see anything concerning so I thought, "how much different could another driving school be???" Let's start off that this school was originally named RANDOLPH Driving School which had more telling reviews... The classroom time is the classroom time. There are certain things they need to cover so I would consider it to be adequate. For the parent class I learned somethings that I may have forgotten and "interesting" ways to avoid insurance hikes. The issue really starts with the availability of driving times. There is one owner who is also the only instructor and driving times are only available 10am and 12pm Monday through Saturday. So if you have a high school age student you options are limited and it took us over 6 months to have 6 road classes. Then our first session had some angst because of the owner's tardiness policy. While the instructor did arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time, he also left 7 minutes before the scheduled time and didn't bother to pick up my daughter when she immediately called him. So that's probably a good reason for the instructor to be consistently late for every schedule road class we scheduled there after. The icing on the cake was when we finally finished the road classes and we needed to pay for the certificate release to the DMV which was an additional charge of $15. We asked who to make the check payable to and he said it was "cash only". So we requested to have a receipt which his response was he only does that at the office which we would have to wait 2 weeks for. When I showed up for the receipt, he showed me an error screen on his computer that the receipt can't be printed. I asked for a hand written receipt and he decided to print off the completion of the course which only showed the cost of the course but not the cost for the certificate release. When I asked him to hand write on the printout for the $15 he adamantly refused and said he "doesn't give receipts." So I found the sign on the front of his desk mildly amusing. So after 9 months, the only reason I could find to rate this school more than 1 star was I learned it's better for me to take a head on collision when someone is driving on the wrong side of the road to avoid insurance rate hikes...

(Review also on Google)…read more I haven't driven in many years because of constant moving and life situations. This year I renewed my permit and searched for an driving school and found BBB. I IMMEDIATELY realized why the school is 5 stars. Just the way Mr. B instructs and teaches, he's very calm, patient, funny, and at the same time informative. Just a FEW lessons and you will feel amazed on the techniques he teaches. No intimidation, no discomfort, and 100% judgement free. I got my drivers license with ease and no faults. Even if you have practiced, I would recommend at least a class with Mr. B, because he will show you everything you need to do for the test. He will teach you the best techniques to make everything simpler! Scheduling is also very lenient on your availability. As for COVID safety, masks are required for lessons and Mr. B provides hand sanitizer every session.

Lauren took me on the roads of Norwood for the first time and was very friendly and professional. Here's where it gets confusing. I scheduled a second lesson with the school and on the day of I get an email 10 mins after my scheduled lesson saying that I was a no show. I had been waiting in my house staring at the driveway waiting with no sign of a car so this was just a blatant lie. Then they tried to tell me my number wasn't in the system (not true because Lauren was able to call and text me before my first lesson.) I then find out that during my 11am lesson they went to pick up a different student because they are "down a driver." So first the school tries to blame me for being a no show, when in reality THEY WENT TO THE WRONG HOUSE. On top of that they double booked the hour so they went and picked someone else up for a lesson? The entire exchange was unprofessional and they appeared to blame me. The reality is the instructor was the No Show in this situation since he literally did not come to my house. I understand that it's school vacation week. I'm a teacher. There are plenty of high schoolers ready to get their license this spring so the school took advantage and just peaced out without admitting their mistake. This is the driving school in the area that everyone uses. It's just a shame that they're so quick to blame clients _________ UPDATED REVIEW Just had a 2nd instructor who was wonderful! I am very disappointed with my experience with this driving school. After my son's first few…read morelessons, the instructor told me he did well. Following next lessons, I specifically asked how he was doing with parking and his overall driving skills because I wanted an honest assessment of whether he was truly prepared. I was not given accurate or detailed feedback about areas where he still needed improvement. I directly asked if my son was ready for his road test, and the instructor said yes. I trusted that professional judgment and moved forward with scheduling the test and paying $175 through the driving school for transportation and participation plus $80 per lesson. Unfortunately, it became very clear that my son was not actually ready for the road test. Had I been given an honest and accurate assessment, I would have invested in additional lessons instead of spending money on a test that he was not adequately prepared for. As a parent, I relied on the instructor's expertise and expected truthful guidance, especially when making decisions that involve both my child's progress and additional expenses. Based on my experience, the situation left me feeling like the focus was more on collecting additional money than on honestly preparing students for success. The experience felt more like a money grab than genuine guidance and support. I hope the school improves the way instructors communicate with parents and provide realistic assessments so families can make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary costs.
