I have been there only once, but was very impressed with the way they handle the crowds in and out of the venue. Everything is run of the mill... bathrooms are clean and well stocked.. parking was a little high in my opinion.. but it was Hoffman Estates so? maybe thats normal. Not a bad place but what a drive.. thank goodness I got free tickets read more

I have only been here once and found it to be just ok. It was really clean (I am assuming because it's still new), it's easy to get around and find your seats, ok selection on drinks for that kind of place, and there really isn't a bad seat. As for everybody complaining about the parking, I didn't have trouble and I went to the opening game for the Shamrox Lacrosse team. Prices are the same as everywhere else for snacks and drinks. The private area's look really nice, it would be fun to get a group and go. And the Shamroxs lost Boooooooo!! read more

I've been here a couple times now, once for a X-Factor audition taping and again for a Chicago Express hockey game. It's a nice size stadium, where every seat has a good view and is close to the action. Parking is $10 and you really don't have a choice, since there isn't anywhere else to park. On top of that, the food is way overpriced for what you get. $15 for a movie theater hot dog, burger, and small drink. On the nights of Chicago Express hockey games they have $1 hot dogs and $1 cups of crap light beer. The lines were a bit chaotic for the $1 deals, so they ended up giving out free tickets to another game to apologize. The hockey game was fun I guess... there were many players accidentally dropping their gloves and sticks. The highlight was probably the fight, that lasted all of 2 seconds before the refs broke it up. It's a great place for any kind of event, but it's probably best to grab dinner somewhere before. read more

Sears Centre Arena was the location of my sister's recent high school graduation ceremony. This was the second graduation that I have attended here in two years. The good? Plenty of parking. Easy to find. Cool digital sign that goes around the entire arena. The not so good? Sticky floors. Cramped seating. Dazed & confused parking attendants. I only have one more graduation ceremony at the Sears Centre that I know of and it's in four years. I'm not going to lie. I'm kinda glad that I won't be likely to go back before then. read more

I went to a speaking event today and about +4,000 people attended and they ran out of food! I stood in line for about 40 mins and I bought their last 2 "grease" burgers for $16.00. LOL Unfortunately, there were quite a few people still in line and the only options left were hotdogs, pretzels, cookies & candies. What a waste of money! read more

Not a bad seat in the house! We had club seats for Elton John and upgraded to the VIP dinner and drinks package and it was lovely! The club room area was beautiful, very high class, and the food was very good. They offered an Italian section with salad, a gourmet pizza and a great shrimp risotto, a carving station with prime rib and other meats, and an Asian fusion table with noodles and stir fry. The food and show were great and I really liked the arena. Though we had great seats, we really liked enjoying most of the show from the club lounge area. The bar area was packed and it took awhile to get your drinks, but we couldn't complain because we had wristbands which meant all you can eat and all you can drink. Unfortunately some of the people that attended this VIP deal were snobby, rude, pushy, and complainers. We were just there for a laid-back fun time and couldn't believe that they were nearly running to get the best seats and the most food. They were hoarding tables and chairs and when I was sitting with another couple as my boyfriend left his chair to get another round of beverages for us, people acted mad at us that we told them yes, sorry, but that chair is taken... (Do you not see the plate on the table in front of the chair?) There were a lot of tasteless people, but we didn't let it ruin our time. We even made some friends and that was very enjoyable, especially because some of the people there were not our type! It's not a reflection of the arena of course, so I'd give this place a solid 4 stars. Parking was on the high end but you are able to buy parking tickets for $5 less online before arrival. Get there as early as possible because parking is easier and you'll avoid the rush or the crowd. All in all, I would love to go back for another show! read more

A basic arena with minimal frills. We didn't partake in any of the concessions. It was basically Connie's Pizza, Hot Dogs, neon cheese nachos. We took my four year old son and infant daughter to see Curious George Live. The loge section that the SC has was the perfect place to sit. Imagine sitting in a suite without all the bells and whistles. You get your own private area with a cabinet. You can request a refrigerator if you need one. There wasn't a tv. The area was awesome for us though. It allowed my very active son room to move around. I thought at $10, the parking was competitively prices. The Sears Centre is a great mid sized arena. It reminded me of a nice version of the UIC Pavillion. I am sure it would be an amazing venue to see a concert. I am not sure why it was built so close to All State Arena. Hopefully they will survive. read more

I came here when a buddy of mine got his hands on a handful of minor league hockey tickets. Fast forward to a scene in "Slapshots" minus Paul Newman, ookay cooach. I gotta say the whole experience brought me back to when I used to watch my cousins play in junior leagues except now the super rope was replaced by dollar beers (gotta love minor league sports marketing. The cheap beer kept us in good spirits and the 7 fight that broke out throughout the game kept us highly entertained. The arena itself is actually nicely laid out with what seemed like 8,000 capacity seating for sporting events in the shape of a horseshoe that faces a stage area at the end of the hall. I also was pleasantly surprised by the bar area/club lounge with all your favorite spirits and brews on tap. Parking was a breeze and being that the whole facility is brand new the bathrooms were very clean. I also found out that night that we have a professional lacrosse team that plays here, who would have thunk it? Ah gotta love minor league sports franchises. After coming back from LA last year for my pre-birthday celebration at their Monster Massive dance party I was thinking this just might be the spot to throw something along those lines in the Chicagoland area. If only we had a promotion company to take on that task.. read more

We were here for a cheer convention and they had us go in one door to buy tickets then back outside to stand for 15/20 minutes in the cold to get back in. After we were in they make you throw away any drinks or food away so if you need anything you can buy a $7 bottled beverage or $9 pretzel etc. Food and drink is crazy expensive! The staff gave no directions on what each line was for or where to go. Only reason I would visit here again is if I had too! read more

This is going to be a very short review. We use the Sears Centre for our graduation each year at the school where I work. I've never had anything but pleasant experiences with the location (easy to get to), or with the staff that work here. The parking lot is always very well manned which is probably good as there are many entrances and high school students might need extra guidance. There really is only one entrance, which I could definitely see as a drawback for a large event (we typically don't fill the entire place). We've been coming here for a few years for graduation, and I hope we continue. read more

The staff are rude to the handicaped and their families. I have attended my last event at this place, I'll never return.

I just went to see Zac Brown Band here and liked what I saw!! the bathrooms were clean.....which at a concert I know can be hard. The staff was friendly and was able to answer my questions and didnt not seem like i was bothering them. The seats were in great shape...you know not all falling about and junk. I am excited for my next concert here!!! *parking is 20 bucks though...thought that was a little high* read more

After two bad experiences at this place I swore i was never coming back. When the village took the venue over. I decided to give it another go and the reality is I have a love hate relationship with this place. I love that it is less than 10 minutes from home. . I hate that any type of common sense planning was thrown out the window when this place was created. Generally, everyone enters through one set of doors where the same people who scan your tickets also check your bag. Since I do not carry a purse it does not effect me other than I end up waiting in line while they check these suit case size purses. I love the other gentleman that typically works security at the club enterance. Honestly, he is the reason why I keep coming back. I hate that most of the other staff would not know customer service if it jumped up and bit them. Most tickets are over priced for the venue. Concessions are pricey for the venue. If you have the option to see an event elsewhere...take it. read more

I came Saturday to see Circus Spectacular with my boyfriend and little guy. I have not seen a circus in a while so I was very excited and tickets were very affordable. I brought them the same day and I payed 2 extra dollars for will call because I don't have a printer. When we get there there were officers telling cars where to go for parking. We got lucky and got a close parking. I liked that they had the officers organizing everything. But I did not like that they did not mention their will be parking fee of ten dollars. Then we went to the front and they had 2 big lines one for people present with their tickets, and another for people buying tickets on spot. I asked a gentleman that I paid for mine online and he told me I had to wait in the line were people were buying them on spot. I got upset because the line was so long it reached outside n it was so cold! I asked another gentleman because I brought them already and he told me about the will call line that was very hidden on the left side! If I did not ask again I would have waited like the first guy told me. Sooo we go to will call n that was nice n fast! As it should since I paid for my tickets already. The place was not crowded so that was nice. We found our seats easily and show was great! I liked it a lot the place was not as big as I thought it would be but the circus owned that stage. I was happy with the show but not as much with the Sears centers. I got uncomfortable after a while and the seating was tight! I couldn't stretch my legs well and I'm a small girl. My son even complained after a while. It was easy to get out of there as it was to get in but I probably will not return for any long events. read more

What a horrible, disorganized place. I took my kids to see Diego Live on a Friday mornng so you think parking would be easy. Not so. $10 to park out in the middle of nowhere, then on this cold Feb day, they were filling in the spaces further away from the arena. They had three guys standing around & one directing. Seating in the middle "orchestra" section was more expensive, yet turned out to be FOLDING CHAIRS set out on the ground. The cheaper stadium-style seats a few feet behind us had way better views. To top it off, they had the doors closest to parking roped off, so we had to walk outside for longer than necessary. Avoid this place! I won't spend my money there again. read more

The facility is very nice. Parking was convenient but $20 for the Yanni concert seems a bit high. The acoustics are also pretty good. The down side is the seating. It's worse than an airplane! Narrow seats and no legroom. If someone wants to get by you have to stand up and you will still have to dance with them. I don't think I could take another 2 hour concert in those tight seats. Perhaps I should have had a drink or two or three before I snuggled in my nice chair. Oh no, then I would have had to dance with all of my neighbors to exit the row and visit the washroom. :) read more

I've been to 10+ concerts and sports events here in the past 3-4 years. Pro: Easy access. Clean facility. New facility. Ample parking. Most events are affordably priced. Con: Parking costs too much for where it is located. The food situation inside the stadium is pathetic, nachos and dogs, not much else outside the VIP area (which is also not very good), 15 minute waits in line. Also, need more events to be held here in order to stay relevant. The sad lack of selection and quality in the refreshment area stands out above all else. read more

Beware!!! Horrible customer service! They used the old bait and switch. They advertise the final 5. The description for the event was very vague, very misleading. You think your going to see the last Olympic winners. Nope! Your just seeing a bunch of no names. So $165 later. We left after taking our seats and finding out we got screwed. So we were there a hour total (btw started 1/2 hour later). So you try to contact via web site and it says coming soon. Really! Do not go here especially if you are handicapped. As usual if most large theater or event arenas in Chicago the parking is terrible!! There were over 25 handicap spots and you have the time we valet Eminem's off to get them after you pay $20 already!! I hope Sears goes under !! read more

After expecting a normal sports/entertainment venue parking experience, nothing prepared me for what we had to go through to park for the Matchbox 20 concert Friday night. Following directions and signs leading us to the Sears Centre got us in line that took us over 45 minutes to just get near parking. Luckily as soon as we could, we got in the suite/pre-paid parking line and just told them we had suite parking. If we didn't do that we would have been parked somewhere in the north 40 and then BUSSED to the arena!! The venue itself was okay once we got inside, nothing spectatular. I do know one thing, we will NEVER attend another event there, I don't care if it's FREE!! read more

The worst venue experience I've ever had. Ever. And that includes being stuck against a wall trying to get to seats at a Wrigley Field concert. I was here for the Boys HS Supersectional games yesterday. I arrived early and waited 45 minutes just to buy a general admission ticket and the line only got longer after I arrived. I missed the entire first half and worse, there were many students behind me in line who likely missed the entire game. It didn't seem like they recognized their ineptitude because leaving the first game I noticed a line outside just as long to buy tickets for the second game which was going to start 25 minutes from that point. There was no way half of those people were going to see the first half. The reason these games are not held at a high school but rather a large venue is because they know larger crowds must be accommodated. If the large venue can't accommodate its own large crowd, then what is the purpose? If the Sears Centre was a person I would make the "shame on you" finger movement at him all night long. Shame shame shame. It gets worse. Despite being the host stadium for the Windy City Bulls, the courtside crew was ill equipped for a basketball game. The only thing on the jumbo scoreboard was the score and the timeouts remaining. The rest was filled with a huge IHSA logo. Even high schools display the numbers of the players on the floor along with their points and fouls committed so fans know what is happening (especially when you keep them outside until halftime). Parking is brutal because they are understaffed and should be directing traffic better but that was the least of this venue's problems. Needless to say I would never return. Last thing: they call it the Sears "Centre", not "Center". So a venue in the heart of America with naming rights of one of the most recognizable American companies of this past century thought it would be a good marketing move to name the dumb venue as if it was located in middle of England! I Googled to find an answer as to why they missed the mark on the name so badly and no one involved knew why other than to credit a marketing think tank for the name. Sears Centre? "Nevre" again!! read more

I have to say, that I never thought I would find myself waaaaay out here. I had the opportunity to come here to work a concert, and I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the arena itself. Very clean, cozy, and very ADA accessible! I didn't have a hard time with parking or finding the arena itself either. I'd comeback for a concert for sure! read more

Do not waste your money on the circus we left at about 50 minutes into it a lot of kids dancing there were some tigers but it was no big deal it wasn't a circus and I thought I would be giving my grandkids the time of their life they said they never want to go to another circus again. read more

The sears Center is pretty much another Allstate Arena but very spacious and well thought out. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Sections 100 - 103 are nice sections because they allow you access to the club lounge and that area is posh. Awesome bar and pretty decent food. There was a Satay bar, desert bar, deli bar, great garlic parmigiana french fries and popcorn shrimp tossed with your favorite sauces. The food out in the main areas is pretty good for an arena. Just plan to get there early because Parking was a nightmare and you will be walking if you wait. I believe that the parking situation will improve as they work out the kinks . read more

Easy to find, parking no problem but expensive, hard to locate our seats as there were no ushers. Bathroom was clean but of course there weren't enough stalls to go during intermission. Just a few vendors which is odd during a Cirque show. Prior to actually finding our seat the place wasn't too bad. But then we found it. My husband and I are tall people and not skinny by any means but also not hugely fat. These seats felt like grade school and my knees had to bend at an awkward angle to fit especially since I had on heels. I actually felt claustrophobic once the folks sat down on the other side. I apologized to the petite lady and she even thought it was tight. I do love Cirque du Soleil shows but never again at this venue. read more

If there was less then 1 star, I would have done that!!! I purchased tickets to an event that was supposed to come with 4 Food and Drink vouchers. I ordered the tickets on 11/17/2016 as Christmas presents, I paid $20 to have them shipped Fed-ex so I could actually give nice printed tickets! I got the tickets on 11/22 (UPS - does not make a difference just saying that they did not even ship the way they said they would) When I received them it did not come with the Vouchers...I have called 5 times and spent at least 20 minutes on the phone each time with people who do not know what is going on...Needless to say, they are very unprofessional and I will NEVER order or go to Sears Centre again. Nothing should be this aggravating!! read more

Came to a graduation here, so much more spacious than the school's auditorium, overall experience was okay, ventilation was great!

This place likes to rob you. 12 dollars for terrible chicken tenders and fries, I forgot the 7 dollar Pepsi too. Wow this place sucks.

I would only choose a half star if it was an option. I visited the Sears Center for the Ascend Event and it all began with the parking. The parking lines were managed so poorly and they took a long time. There should be one line for cash and the other for credit. The event was good but the Sears Center doesn't allow reentry, so your only food and drink options are onsite. Being vegan, my options were soft pretzels and skittles, as we weren't allowed to bring in our own food. Ugh...really?! Oh and the food place ran out of most food for everyone, besides it was very pricey. $5 water!? Forgot to mention, bathrooms were partially flooded first thing too. Not impressed with this venue at all. read more

Went for the Circ show with my wife and little child and the staff was so great! We walked in a little late so they upgraded us to our own little suit to that we wouldn't disturb anyone else. They were very professional and kind. The food and drinks were very expensive but hey, what else is new these days. I love the venue and respect the effort. I hope they make it. I know they have had their challenges. read more

I came here for a friend's graduation from the University of Phoenix and it was a nice sized place, but you have to park a good ways and then you had to walk over to the center. Try walking in the winter with a good solid ice cold wind hitting your face and then you have to walk a ways to the seating area from the door you enter in. I do give it four stars for being clean and well maintained my issue is the walk under certain weather conditions. read more

I was here recently for an Eric Church concert---sat in the lower level near the middle and I thought the overall atmosphere was great (crowd was friendly, staff was actually helpful) but the sound was absolutely horrible (big negative). The two openers sounded like they were mumbling--thought maybe the headliner would have a better setup but it was more of the same. I really think it's the venue, but I will admit I couldn't tell what it sounded like from other seats and have only been to that one concert at this arena. Also, after paying $20 to park, my tolerance for anything below par was pretty low. At the beer stands, your choices are Coors Light and Miller LIght. Oh, and Heineken....(negative). read more

Like every other arena it's expensive of course. Most of the time I have to carry cash on me cuz they don't take credit...

Hole in the wall venue, but is good for small shows. I suggest they do some renovations especially in the auditorium, as the sound system literally made my ears bleed. read more

Had my graduation here, the venue is pretty cool. Obviously it has some things that need improvement, but for the most a pretty cool place to hold an event. Seating is a lot nicer than you would expect as well read more

While it's not a rat-hole the newly constructed Sears Centre was a disappointment as a music venue. The interior is bland, poorly marked interior signage (I had to ASK how to get to the 200 section), and not conducive to eating. There were no tables or constructed ledges to stand and eat. We were forced to improvise using a trash can lid. However, the concourse is spacious and easily accommodated a sell out crowd. For a 11k+ arena, the top 200 sections are compact. If you are a robust or hefty person, forget about sitting comfortably up there. The section is also quit steep and very difficult to allow fellow patrons to walk by you to get out of the aisle. Instead of ground lighting to outline the stairs while in the dark, they have angled spotlights that shine on the rows. The light is distracting at first and can be annoying if you are on the end of the row. The acoustics aren't great from this position, not sure about elsewhere. Parking is about what you would expect with any 11k crowd all leaving at one time. So, be prepared to wait. However, the road signage leaving is poorly marked and they didn't seem to create enough lanes to allow for continous flow of traffic onto I-90. Again, be prepared to wait. On the plus side, it was a very clean, modern facility. They just could have thought through some of this issues during construction. I would not go back unless it was for a specific event of interest. read more

Certainly have experienced better. My purpose there was a chicago slaughter game. First lets start with the bad. Cons: Whoever operates this wants badly for this arena to be taken seriously. 10$ cash only parking, and we aren't talking about prime rates downtown this is in the middle of suburbia giant empty fields run against the property line of the sears centre, yet there are acres and acres of unused parking spots when I was there the lot was half empty, absolutely, positively no reason for parking to be 10$ or as others have said 20$ at times. There is only 1 entrance the public can use given the size of the parking lot and arena Id expect more exits??? Lite beer is 8$ a cup LOL ok fine youre going to get socked for beer thats a given, but youre not allowed to carry anything in, luckly they dont check jackets...I didnt even check on the price for food. Bathrooms are average, so is the seating. The arena looked ok except for the info board that rings the stadium looked like it was wearing out graphics on the board had glitches. On one end of the auditorium there was a stage complete with curtains? seriously? it looked like a high school gymnasium with the curtains held up on either sides. This tells you this place isnt as professional as theyd like to be. The Good: seemed clean, average bathrooms, average seating with cupholders for your 8$ beer (ive only paid 11$ once for beer that was in new york downtown) parking was easy to access and easy to leave mostly because the lot was half empty. v In conclusion: Theres just way too much to feel like YOU'RE BEING RIPPED OFF HERE!!, the stadium looks more like a high-school gymnasium, food and drink are way over priced, parking is WAY over priced and no good reason why its cash only and no buses run there plus they dont mention parking when you buy tickets, the stadium is average yet looks to be getting old and worn out just like the SEARS stores. This is a stadium that couldnt get a prime spot downtown so they brought it to the suburbs and charged the same rate. Dont come here unless you can share a ride or you get discount tickets. read more
