This Novotel is situated in a great, walkable location in Liverpool - across from Liverpool ONE shopping area, not far from the docks, and both the Liverpool Central and Lime Street station trains are easily accessible. It is a little odd at check-in. You walk in and see a couple of round high-top tables with one or two staff members near the elevators, but everyone that works here is kind and welcoming. The bar area on the ground floor is nice, as are the small gym and pool. And we enjoyed the breakfast buffet although it was pretty much the same every day. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, one thing that I am not a fan of is the separate toilet room located several feet away from the sink/shower room. I understand this can be a "thing" as my relatives have the same set-up in their Liverpool home. But the idea of someone using the toilet and not washing their hands in the same area is a little gross. Another thing I disliked is that the door to the sink/shower room was next to the bed and it had an opaque white door instead of a solid door so when someone used it during the night, the whole room lit up. Otherwise, we had a nice stay. read more
