This hotel was such a wonderful place to stay whilst visiting Barcelona. It resides in a quaint little town on the outskirts of the centre of Barcelona, which is a perfect distance from the airport for a quick and easy taxi ride, but also an amazing commute to the centre by the underground.
The hotel has a bright an open design with a small bar area, and terrace by a small pool. During my stay, it wasn't at all busy in the bar or pool area - and this was a Bank Holiday weekend! So it was quite tranquil to end the day with a drink after seeing the sights of Barcelona. The hotel also has a dining area and conference rooms for events. However, if you are there with kids, then it also has a small games room/area and amenities.
The staff were great! They were friendly and attentive and overall great customer service.
The room was a good size, clean, quiet. not much more to say other than it was a really good standard.
IMPORTANT: Initially, I was hesitant to order food, as I wanted to try traditional cuisine away from the hotel, and I didn't have high expectations. BIG MISTAKE - THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. On the last day, I had a relaxing day at the hotel by the pool, and decided to order food. I ordered the Pulpo Trinchado con Parmentier, huevo Escalfado y Ajada Gallega (Octopus with poached egg, mash potato and a "Galician" touch. It was absolutely beautiful (I have uploaded a photo!), It was a wonderful combination and flavours from the mash potato to the chewy octopus, and next time I visit, I will sample more of their menu. Delicious!
As for Cornellà, I now have incredible fondness for this place. Near to the hotel, is a small shopping centre, and nearby sits a little square filled with cafes and lots of places to eat. It is worth a wander around, especially if you wish to experience the non-tourist element to Barcelona. There is also a beautiful park, which is just a stones throw away, and seems a perfect place for runners to enjoy a run - next time I'm taking my running shoes! read more
