The only reason I give them 4 stars is because their products and sometimes services can be a bit pricey, but with salons I feel like you get what you pay for, so I keep going back PROS: -Currently remodeled, very nice -A lot of the stylists and spa therapists are highly skilled and experienced -One of the only places that I know of that offers eye brow tinting, which I do religiously! -Convenient location -Schedules are very accommodating and they are very willing to work with you if you have to cancel -Friendly staff -You get some (only a bit, but it still counts) money off of products for buying other products and services (I think it has to accumulate) CONS: -Products are expensive, but I'm not sure how much control they have over that -The stylists costs are more expensive the more experienced they are (but I think that's typical for salons?) -Can be kind of noisy in the actual salon -Some stylists have limited availability

The manicure was the worst. The woman cut my nails all lopsided and awkward. The paint job, a french manicure, must have been modeled after a very cheap part of France. They didn't even let us dry out nails before we left, so of course they got messed up. Sadly, the haircut story is worse. After cutting my hair about 2.5 inches shorter than I requested (leaving me looking like a mushroom), the stylist told me she didn't have time to dry or style it (although my appointment was for a cut and style). She was the worst. THE WORST! When I went up front to pay, they still had me pay for a "style" job despite me standing there with dripping hair while my too- busy "stylist" sat texting on her phone. Apparently, they didn't have pricing for "just a cut." I'll drive downtown, east, or north before coming here again.

Let me start by saying The Wild Hare Salon rents to unethical hairstylists. I have scheduled two appointments with Chuck Landers, both of which sent me to the wrong place. I walked in and they said, "I'm sorry we can't help you." Wow. I've been given the runaround till my head is spinning driving to the wrong places with no haircut to show for it. Chuck Landers' information is incorrect on the website 4792 Redbank is not the proper address. The address I was sent to today is not the proper address on Loveland Madeira Road. Owner called me "I have no control over the stylists who rent." Yes, she does actually. Her job is to VET the stylists they rent to. The salon is in a dank looking dead strip mall. Chuck said he would be there. I watched him walk out, get in his cute Mercedes and drive away leaving me sitting there utterly befuddled. THE most disgusting customer service. Save your $$$ and go to a quality salon. You get what you pay for. Truly ridiculous customer service. It's time to go to the pasture, Chuck. You are wreaking havoc.

I know most women are super picky about their hair. I wouldn't consider myself in this group…read more It's just hair, right? It will grow, no matter how bad it looks! And until it does...there are hats and headbands! In my search to find the "perfect" stylist, I decided to try out Chuck Landers. The business is right down the street from me, and I can easily walk there in less than 5 minutes! I love frequenting places that are close! Chuck seems to run the entire place himself- no secretary or other stylists that I could tell. Sometimes, I like to change my hair, but am not really sure how. With my previous stylist, I could just sit down and tell her what I was thinking about, and she would tell me if it would look good or bad, and if my suggestion was off, she would offer a new one. I really appreciate people like that, and Chuck certainly fit the bill. Although I thought my last hair cut was decent, I felt there was no creativity involved. Chuck has plenty of creative energy! Another thing I liked about Chuck; he knew his other clients well, and was easy to talk to! Let's face it, when you have a stylist that just cuts your hair and doesn't talk, its just weird. I found out all about his children, his band, and his motorcycle accident. I also found out he finished stylist school in '79, so he's had plenty of experience, but seems to keep up on current trends as well. Another cool thing, free bang trims, walk-ins welcome. This is of course, for established clients, but how neat! He also reminded me that I could get a "blow out" before a night out on the town. I might take him up on it- when do you ever get your hair done like that except for way back when for prom? Good to know before getting there though- he only accepts cash and checks. It's a good thing I lived close enough to run back and grab my checkbook. I really liked the proximity, my color and cut, and the conversation. I think I may have found my new stylist!
