I had the very good fortune to observe with Qing as part of my studies in TCM. She is a warm, caring, and super knowledgeable Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She's been in practice for 30 years, she was trained in China, and you couldn't be in better hands for treatment in Halifax. I watched one case come into her clinic so crippled up with pain he could hardly walk. 3 treatments later - he DANCED out the door. I watched her treat all kinds of complaints with very good results. Her office is convenient located in The Regal Building on Cornwallis Street near the Halifax Commons. She has a beautiful office space on the third floor of the building. There's an open area greeting area with chairs for waiting or discussion in consultation near her desk, but a separate treatment room. I don't entirely understand the hows or whys behind acupuncture, but I can say it's been a valued part of my recovery and working with Elizabeth has been a blessing. I went in and she pulled out a series of needles and told me to take a deep breath. She was like lighting and I was her pin cushion. After she had all the needles in my she went back and ever so lightly turned the needles. While she was doing this the energy that was radiating towards that needle was incredible. This is something that I have placed into my regular routine for maintenance of this issue. I Stop Pain treats a wide variety of issues like weight gain, depression, energy. Very toxic, unprofessional, stressful work environment. Also very racist especially to Indian…read morepeople, the one owner said they only want white English people working for them, so people can understand them. My boyfriends sister who is Indian went for an interview and all they said was "oh your english no good", interview didn't even last 2 minutes. Constantly micro managed, harrassed, and sometimes others book and it becomes over booked then you dont get a break or lunch. Even while on lunch expect to be interrupted and be put back to work. Also you can expect the owner to call you 40 times a day. Your told the job description yet told to do things out of your job description. Many times patients would come out with needles still in them. Patients sometimes lay there for 30 minutes before the dr even go in. I quit due to stress, I mailed the keys in not knowing you couldnt send by regular mail. They charged me nearly $200 to replace locks. Honestly I feel like they just set the whole thing up because they are salty, if someone found random keys, I do not think they would know what in the world those keys were for. Over all just a bad experience working there. I heard things before, I should have listened but instead I learned the hard way.

This is probably the 5th different acupuncturist, I tried in my life, so I have seen some different skill levels and techniques. This was probably the worst treatment I ever received. I had to do an initial assessment that took 5 minutes tops that cost $60. It consisted of him reading what I wrote on the intake form. This was not covered in my medical plan because he charged me for my treatment on top of the initial assessment and Blue Cross only covers first $110 per treatment. I went back for a second treatment a few days later to confirm the quality of the treatment (biggest mistake). I have been in more pain after meeting with him than before I went. Now I must find someone to fix what he did wrong. The second treatment he spent only 30 minutes treating me and charged me for an hour treatment. I did not realize until I got to my car how long the time took. I called the next day and they confirmed that all treatment should take an hour. Maybe I should be happy because an hour with this quack could only cost me more money in the long run. STAY AWAY.

No doctor or nurse came in (they only have someone in reception, and is often off duty). 15 mins later another doctor came in and pulled the needles out. I waited for another while and left. The pain led to me in bed for days. The doctor possessed a shitty attitude and failed to communicate effectively in a professional manner. Dr. Li answered phone calls twice when inserting the needles in me. Totally disappointed with the results. Extremely expensive and next to worthless in my opinion.
