My physio' is a delightful and knowledgeable young man who soon identified the problem and set me up with some initial exercises. These improved the situation within a day or two and I was well on the road to recovery. The suite includes a well equipped small gym where you can learn and practice your routines. I booked several subsequent, weekly sessions, wherein progress was assessed and additional exercises tacked onto my routine. Move is located in the relatively new strip mall near the junction of Larry Uteck and Kearney Lake and has reserved parking spots in the good sized lot. If your body is in need to some remedial work, you should definitely check them out. They also offer chiropractic and massage therapy.

In my early 20's I discovered Mike MacNutt & physiotherapy and was grateful that I did. Too many people don't realize that physio can actually make them feel better, and often very quickly! He also always provides home exercises that will help and he opened me up to the joys of acupuncture. He and his business partner are both dedicated to health and wellness and specialize in sports injuries. I have also seen Andrew Caissie (massage) and Andrew White (physio) at various times. Not only have they given me strengthening exercises for my jaw and ankle, but they've also shown me techniques to improve my posture and reduce general pain. I've been nothing but impressed by the service I've received here. I can't speak to the Physiotherapy side of the biz, but I was originally referred here by a friend that has had a long relationship with the Phyisotherapy staff. I've always chosen RMT's based on my own personal bias towards a reputable location that's associated with health and wellness vs. just a spa. People have their own opinions on what they like in a massage. Some like to feel the pain and know that a massage that works out the kinks will pay off later on. Other people prefer the relaxation of feeling good immediately. I like a massage that makes me feel good, but that also tackles the knots and kinks with no sympathy. And, if anyone remembers the episode of Friends where Ross filled in for Phoebe and massaged an old man with wooden spoons, that's what I think of every time I consider trying a massage at a spa. (Biased? Yes. Unfounded? Probably.) Either way, I'd tell anyone looking for a new RMT to come here. The staff here are interested in your overall well-being and want to make sure that you are feeling good and are taking care of yourself. It's a holistic relationship and if you are interested in forming a regular routine of self-care, this is a great place to form that relationship.

WoW - 121!!! I have…read morebeen going to 121 since the Spring. With the promise of health and fitness in 15 minutes a week, how could a long time marathoner like me not be skeptical - I mean interested. The program is based on some sound science research and seems to enjoy sticking it to the classic anecdotal approaches to fitness - especially the existing dogma of cardio. Whether you ever drag your butt into 121, you should read the book: http://www.bodybyscience.net/home.html/?page_id=18. (FYI - the illustrator for the book is a good friend who lives a couple of doors down in Dartmouth) So, back to 121, the facilities are clean, modern and efficient. The mix of fitness sessions, physio and massage makes it feel more like a doctors office than a fitness centre. The program is based on one person, one trainer alone in the training room for 4-5 exercises for 15 minutes a week - now this is personalized! Having a trainer focus on every second of your training is a proven training technique for success - and the 121 trainers are excellent. They coach, cajole, cheer, encourage and do whatever is necessary to ensure that your muscles are max out - each time, every time, every second of the workout. Until you experience the exhaustion of 2 minutes of controlled max out effort, it is hard to appreciate this approach. But it works and 121 do it best! They use some administrative touches like variable automatic payment plans and e-mail reminders of appointments. Overall 121 has given me a crazy, almost unbelievable, experience that now has my muscles in the best shape in decades. Their professionalism, facilities and instructors helped me get through my skepticism - great thanks!
