I have gone here for physio a few times and sadly I was less than impressed. On the good side, the staff are very friendly and kind. The reception is always very nice. They knew me by name within minutes of my consultation. My physiotherapist was the same way.
Aside from there I had some major issues with the place. Mostly the patient care. Generally, I go and wait in the waiting area for an appointment. I usually get taken in to the clinic about 10 minutes after I am scheduled. There, I wait for about another 5 minutes for the physiotherapist to come. He comes and asks how I am doing, with no progress check of my condition.
After that he tells me to do an exercise. He shows me how to do it the first time then walks away. He never checks my alignment, weight distribution, or movements. After I finish, I wait for about 5 minutes before he returns to the room to tell me to do the next exercise. Usually I am there for about 1.5 hours and maybe 30 of that I am exercising. Generally he is off chatting to other patients. On my last appointment he actually said "Sometimes I forget about patients so if you are waiting, just ask somebody to get me" That's not my job!
He has also sent the assistant to show me exercises. The assistant told me what to do, but did not show me.
I feel this is just specific to one practitioner. I have watch the other physiotherapist working there and she seems great! Good rapport with clients, friendly, and full of knowledge. read more
