We have been to several other rolfers in the past and as dancers, we are big fans of rolfing. Jason Goodbrake is the most experienced rolfer we have met so far. He knows so much and he always can sense and understand any issues we are having. He has had a tremendous impact on my whole family (we have all started seeing him) and keeps us feeling great. I give him the highest rating possible. Also, he has a super fun personality and he is punctual, organized, and a very caring person. Jason is an incredibly skilled rolfer/SI specialist and an even better person. I have benefited tremendously from his knowledge and skill. When I first reached out to him, I didn't have any particular pain issues other than wanting to improve posture and general mobility in my joints. I had tried another rolfer in the area and it just wasn't a good fit for me (personality and results wise). However, as I am a pretty active person (yoga/gymnastics/weightlifting) things come up quite frequently. Issues come up, you sleep on your neck incorrectly, you are unnaturally tight in some area, etc. In these situations, your standard massage is not going to cut it (though you will feel very relaxed which is its own sort of therapy). To cut to the chase, I've never had a session where I didn't feel better (feeling like my body is just working better as a mechanical unit) upon leaving. One example that stands out is that I was introduced to a new stretch in a handstand class that revealed some serious weaknesses in my carpal tunnel area of one of my hands. After the class, I was unable to move my hand in a certain way and it was quite painful. After a session with Jason, I was able to regain mobility of my hand immediately afterwards, though it was still a little sore. However, the next day my hand was back to normal. I realize that this type of miraculous recovery is a rare case, however, I think it speaks to the quality of his technique and knowledge that he knew exactly how to address it. As with most people who are talented and have a true passion for their field, Jason is in high demand. If I had to come up with a downside, it would be that you may not be able to just "hop in" to his schedule. He likely will recommend you to someone else but in my opinion I would just wait until something opens up. I would recommend Jason to anyone looking for the next level of bodywork, any active person who gets dinged up from time to time, or anyone who sits at a desk for work. He is also a deep know-er and seeker of all sorts of knowledge and is very approachable. read more

Completing the 10 series with Jason changed my life. I suffer from chronic back pain (3 herniated discs) and a variety of other overuse injuries including tears in my right and left elbow tendons (tennis). Exercise and working out used to leave my joints achy and sore. I thought this was a normal byproduct of exercise. Now I can play three times as much tennis without the same pain. It's hard to explain but I just feel like my body is moving the way it is supposed to. Like someone out WD-40 into my joints and freed them to use their entire range of motion. Another surprising side effect was the dramatic changes in the arches of my feet. Previously I could not wear high heels because of my extreme arch. Now, my arch has softened and my weight is more evenly distributed across my foot. My experience with Jason has been fantastic on a personal and physical level. I highly recommend. Disclaimer: Rolfing is not for the faint of heart. It can be uncomfortable at best to downright painful, but it doesn't last long and the results are SO worth it!!! read more

My family and I have been having work from Jason for the past 3 years. I went through the 10-series with Jason and my daughter is going through the 10-series right now. I used to live with daily back pain but because of the work Jason's done I now live pain-free! I train with weights 3-4 days per week and find that routine SI sessions with Jason help to keep me injury-free and also to experience the maximum benefit from my training. I receive work from Jason every 3-4 weeks and continue to experience progress. What kind of progress you ask? Just this week I had an hour of work and asked Jason to work on my neck as I had been feeling some tightness developing. I also asked him to help with some tightness in my hips. After an hour session I felt like I had a new body! The thing I really like about Jason is his sincere passion for what he does. And he continues to work to learn more so that he can better serve his clients. His rates are very generous, especially compared to what it costs for other things that deliver much less in the way of results you can immediately feel. If you are experiencing a bodily pain or discomfort I would recommend that you see Jason first. Additionally, for people who want to maintain a healthy and active life well into retirement years I'd recommend routine SI sessions with Jason to help keep your body as functional as possible. read more

Jason is the best body worker I know. I was skeptical at first, but when I went through the 10 series, my whole body changed and I was more structurally aligned than I have ever been in my life. As a professional dancer, the difference in the way I dance, the ease with which I dance and move is nothing short of a miracle after receiving Jason's work. JASON IS THE ABSOLUTE GREATEST! When I first saw Jason I was just starting grad school and I remember barely being able to sit through a single class if I was to the side, or if the lecturer was to the side of the room, because my neck hurt SO bad! I was constantly distracted and rubbing my neck because it ached from being turned in one direction for even just a few minutes. By the end of my 10-series with Jason I could visibly see a difference (we took before and after photos) in my body--my head was more aligned with my spine whereas it had previously been jutting out way further than normal (causing my head to tilt forward and downward) because of the strain and tension from my neck and shoulders. Even 3 years after my 10-series (and I did another shorter series with him) and more diligent yoga practice, I am much more comfortable and have way less pain than I ever did--even sitting through a 3-hour class or 4-hour exam. Jason taught me how to identify the parts of my body that stored tension and he physically helped me by physically integrating my body into a healthier and more aligned state. These are long-lasting changes! Jason is very professional, good-natured, and very attentive to what your individual body and needs are for the type of life you lead. He is very dedicated to his craft and every year takes it upon himself to seek additional training and is always learning more and more. I started going to Jason about 8 months ago for the 10 series and recently completed 3 follow up appointments. He is EXCELLENT at what he does and so knowledgeable about anatomy and pain referral to the point that it seems like magic. Before seeing him I was getting painful back spasms at least every other month and neck pain from non-ergonomic working conditions; now I no longer have either! I highly recommend Jason to anyone who has any sort of musculoskeletal pain or bad posture. Even in one session he can make significant improvements and alleviate pain. He's also very friendly and makes good conversation :) you can tell that he really knows what he is doing and really wants to help you feel your best. Jason is awesome!! He was referred to me by my husband's personal trainer, after I exhausted chronic pain management options that made me felt better for a short time but did not provide lasting result. Jason is very gifted, caring and thorough, giving his 110% each time. Everything stated about the Structural Integration is true; dynamic, comprehensive, and results-oriented, so it is really surprising that S.I. isn't more popular. Jason doesn't just focus on where you are feeling a pain, and realigns the whole body (which is why it takes 10 sessions) and in doing so identifies and source of the pain and effectively removes them.
