I was out and about in Hudson the other day and was looking for something to grab for family member…read moreto eat while driving in the car..I found Famous Sal's Pizza and Italian Eatery close to where I was and figured I would give them a try for a take out order. I was surprised when I entered, there were at least 10 Pizzas ready to serve by the spice for the lunch crowd..they offer a two slice and soda special for under 10.00 and lots of choices ..I ordered a Steal and Cheese and a large Pizza to go...They also have a lunch special for that 10 inch sandwich with fries and drink for 12.00. I took a bite and have to say it was very good, not greasy and meat had a good taste, if I was in the area and someone wanted one of those I would stop there...the Pizza I had cooked crispy and it was good too..good to remember if you are on the road and want a quick pinch on the run and don't want to spend a bunch of cash..

I explained I lived about 35-40mins from location. When I got home both meals were eggplant. I call the restaurant and they told me I would have to bring back the meals because they had to see them to issues a new meal or refund. I tried to explain that I was a distance from the restaurant. The rep said they could not take my word for it. I asked for them just to refund one meal and they refused. I will never eat at a Joeys restaurant again or recommend their restaurant. You lost a regular customer and probably many more.

Today put a bad taste in my mouth. Joe our server sees us walk in with my two kids and you can see the change of demeanor when we say we are eating in. Again nothing we are unused to with two young kids we kind of always get mid or poor service, because they assume we are going to be a mess, loud and don't tip well. While we were sitting his regulars came in and boy what a flip of the coin. Very attentive. While they were sitting he shared a story about how he went to a restaurant and his server gave poor service. Didn't fill his glass for 12 minutes. How he was half way through his meal before she noticed and her excuse was she didn't see the glass. He was critiquing how you have to be more observant and attentive. How he is a server and he gets being busy, but you still need to pay attention to your surroundings. Well I ordered my daughter spaghetti with the sauce and meatball on the side. He brought it with the sauce and meatball on top and his excuse was he didn't hear me. He then didn't offer or refill my drink once. Infact because of his story I made a point to lift my glass when he came over and he still didn't refill it. Well over 20 minutes with an empty glass. He had 3 tables and one was regulars. The icing to my grip I also ordered a Diet Pepsi which is what was on the fountain but it was definitely a Pepsi Zero, all my fellow diet soda drinkers know, there is a difference and we have a preference. If your ok with good food but mediocre service it's fine, but don't expect more.
