Why they submit a wrong report that stated I already passed away that lead the consequence Medicare Department cancelled my all my Part A & B benefits ? Yet once Michele White the caseworker took over, she dropped the ball. Although she was the one that shared a listing of providers for cremation, she failed to enter that information under my step-fathers case. Once he passed, the nurse Jariah called a company that is contracted by Harris County to come pick him up as if his family did not already complete our due diligence and make the final arrangements. My step-father was picked up from his assisted living facility and taken away like he was trash and an inconvenience. I had to call around looking for him in the time when we should be able to grieve our loss. Instead, I was forced to contact another company that I didn't even know existed and complete some documents to have him released to the provider we originally selected. No apology was offered. No sorry for your loss. Only call I received was for the family to be blamed for everything. Their staff acted as if our family was not proactive and caring enough to make the final arrangements in a timely manner. I highly recommend to find another hospice provider. These people a cut throat salesmen looking for the newest victims to target. They tell you everything they think you need to hear and once you sign the paperwork, they forget you exist. These people do NOT care about the patient but the billing. e were failed and yet we were the problem. Sadly no one cared nor were they concerned. Run and do not look back.

It was very clean, the family and I really liked the simple but pretty artwork and the comfortable accommodations for family and friends who were visiting the facility. I wish I'd taken photographs and particularly of the artwork on the walls. It seemed very clean to me which is important and the staff was very nice. I met a couple of the chaplains and they were wonderful. One of the chaplains also followed up with the key family member after the death to ensure that they were doing OK and provide a grief counseling referral if needed. It's not easy being at a hospice inpatient facility, but there was a lot to recommend this place. Really good experience despite the difficulty of the circumstances.

From the first meeting with Mr Dickerson to the end of my grandfathers life, the staff were so great. They were always available but also never interrupted our family time. Thank you to everyone there for such amazing and compassionate care.

Someone finally came out and told the 25 people still waiting (some 10 hours) what was going on. When asked where you were in line, the front desk had no clue or was unable to tell you. Something needs to be done about the wait time. Second, once in the hospital room, the hospital phone in the room starts ringing and it was solicitors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! while I was in my husband's room, he receives 8-10 selling insurance. This is extremely disturbing to the patient as the patient think is it his/her love one - even though they do not have the direct no. to the room. I asked at the front desk and they indicated it had been going on for some time. Why do they get telephone number information in the rooms in your hospital?????????? I sure the news media is not aware of this. The nurses and doctors are very good once you get in a room. Thanks. SH

My Sister was at Memorial CIty Memorial Hermann requiring the Phillips V60 Bi-Pap at 100% oxygen…read more.. we only agreed to take her to Memorial Hermann Hospice after 3 separate representatives from MHH stated we could have the same or better equipment to provide my Sister 100% o2. There was debate if this was treatment or comfort. Our Doctor and the "3" respectfully agreed this was comfort. However, when we arrived at the Memorial Hermann Hospice the Bi-Pap was a small Phillips Respironics AVAPS, and the o2 was set to 45%. My sister passed within minutes of being on this lesser machine with much less oxygen. Why did they not increase the setting to at least 90% (close to the max for this model)?? And why did we not get the same or better equipment as promised? Are they liars or incompetent? Please visit this facility and visually confirm the room equipment before signing the hospital release papers... you don't have to sign them. You can stay at the hospital and be transferred to an Ltech room... but still have the required equipment for your loved one. Please visually verify everything they say they will provide... and ensure settings and oxygen are what is required for the comfort of your loved one.Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.
