My service advisor James was extremely helpful in walking me through everything and helping me get my car back. Everything was great, up front, and straightforward. Hopefully I won't have to repeat this process anytime soon but if I do I know they'll be just as helpful as they were this go around!

    I made an appt for what I believe is warranty work and an oil change. My Santa Fe is sputtering…read morerandomly and the turn signal is not working properly. I was told that I would have to leave it for a few days (I told them I could only give them 3 days with it) because they would have to experience the sputtering in order to diagnose the issue. Ok...I get it. First problem....they did not even open my vehicle for over a day after they had it. With Bluelink I can tell when someone unlocks the vehicle. They did not move the car until I called for a status. They told me that they haven't been able to recreate the sputtering. Well of course not....you would have to drive it to do that! When I picked it up after they had it for 3 full days I was told they couldn't find the sputtering issue and the turn signal was working as expected. They were so kind as to send a video of the turn signal working....except that it was the hazard light that they had on! Seriously? Saffords technicians don't even know the difference between a turn signal and hazard light? So I paid for a rental car (never any loaner cars anymore) for 3 days for an oil change!!! Convenience be damned! I will find another dealership and hope they are not as incompetent as this one. Oh...I almost forgot that they had the nerve to tell me that I needed brake pads and rotors and they would happily do that for $1300. No thanks! My trustworthy local mechanic says I just need pads. I left a review on Dealer Rater as well. They did respond asking me to reach out to them directly. When I asked who specifically I should reach out to since I had already left 2 messages for the service manager they did not respond. Par for the course I suppose.

Due to this loyalty, I passed up a KBB cash offer that was a few hundred more than the offer from Dulles Motorcars and I would have been paid out on the spot at the other dealership. Absolute nightmare. I told the guy I had another dealership that would pay me on the spot, so getting the funding fast was a priority. He told me "they say it takes 10 to 14 days", but it often goes faster. So, I said okay and took the offer. Here we are exactly 2 weeks later, no check, just the accounting team telling me it usually takes a month, and the manager James telling me 3pm is too late on a Friday to cut a check, but he would try to do me a favor, and maybe it will be ready on Monday. When I said that wasn't acceptable, he essentially hung up on me. What a complete joke. Meanwhile, they had no problem selling my truck to someone else. It was posted on the website, but is now gone. Can only assume it's sold, but they can't cut my check after two weeks. I've bought 2 cars in two years, and my truck in 2021 from here. Never again will they see a dollar from me. I advise you to find another dealer.

    I brought my Subaru Outback in today for a routine oil change and state safety inspection. The…read morevehicle failed inspection due to aftermarket LED headlights not meeting the halogen requirement. While I understand that regulations must be followed, what was frustrating is that this same issue had passed inspection at this dealership in previous years, so I never thought that this would be an issue. What truly disappointed me was the lack of customer service. I have been a repeat customer for service visits, yet there was no effort to offer a reasonable or customer-friendly solution--such as lower-cost bulb options (I was quoted $70 per bulb) or even a small goodwill gesture for a loyal customer. Additionally, the complimentary car wash--something that is consistently marked as "completed"--was once again not done. If this service is not reliably provided, it should not be advertised. My interaction with Elmer was also disappointing. The communication felt dismissive and lacked courtesy or understanding. A more professional and empathetic approach would have made a significant difference in how this situation was handled. Based on this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere for both service and future vehicle purchases.

They quickly evaluated our trade-in car and offered us a very good trade-in value. Why didn't I buy a car here? 1) They're a fairly small dealership and don't have a big inventory, so they didn't have the car I wanted in stock. They really wanted me to buy the one they had on the lot, but I didn't like the color. They wouldn't investigate what other dealerships had nearby. 2) Because they're a small dealership and don't move as many cars as some of the other dealerships (my opinion), they can't offer as good a deal as the other bigger dealerships can. Leesburg Honda offered me $1,200 over invoice, whereas bigger dealerships with more inventory offered considerably less. So overall, I found the staff very nice and professional here, they offered me a good trade-in value on my car. If they had the car I wanted in stock (just about ANY other color than the one they had on the lot) then I might have gone ahead and bought the car there since it's the closest Honda dealership to my house.

Their space for the department was woefully small for the size of the operation and the other advisors were....let's just say they werent good.

    SCAM ALERT and shady business alarm, entire engine needed replacement!! I originally recommended…read morethis dealership, however am changing my review. After driving the 2018 Mazda CX5 I purchased from Justin and Jay for only just ONE month, the engine started leaking oil. My local mechanic tried to fix it and discovered that the ENTIRE ENGINE needed to be replaced. Apparently, the car was in an undisclosed accident (other than the bumper scratches visible) and whoever repaired the engine had done so with glue and shoddy workmanship. Auto Member does not check their cars before purchasing them to resell. When they took the plate off, bits of metal fell off, and things were leaking and broken everywhere. It could not be fixed. I had to purchase an entire new engine for a 2018 used vehicle that cost me $17,500 at Auto Member. It appears that Justin, Jay, and Auto Member are not helpful, professional, nor trustworthy/ethical as I originally thought. For this horrible situation I unfortunately have no way to fix or get my money back, and am trying to warn any new customers.....RUN FAR AWAY from Auto Member!!! Or at the very least make very sure you have a reputable mechanic do a thorough scrub of any car you are thinking of buying. The sad part is the car ran fine for a whole month before completely breaking down. BEWARE!!! Auto Member does not validate cars they buy before reselling, and just send out trash cars to new customers.
