Last Sunday my dog Mila was sick. Banefield were I usually take her couldn't see her so I looked to see who was open since it was late in the day. Nova Animal Hospital was open. The front receptionist greeted us and there was no wait time. We met Dr.Jonathan who was so nice and friendly even though we were the last ones there. He did a thorough exam, was able to run some blood work and extra tests. He figured out what was wrong with Mila. He put together a game plan of treatment. He gave me some sample food to try and almost a week later Mila is so great. I can't thank them enough for the excellent care. The patience and kindness was amazing!!! read more

The vet is a 5. This review is for the technicians. Since I've made this place my new vet, the doctor is wonderful but the front desk aren't reliable or lack training. I was talked into getting my dog the Lepro initial. I paid the fees for the initial & second shot. When I came in for the second shot, they tell me it had to be done within the 3 wks of the initial shot so I'd have to pay for the initial shot again. Well, shouldn't I have been reminded that when I r/s the second shot & I wasn't refunded for the second shot my dog never got. I requested a medication refill for my dog. The annual exam with the vet & vaccinations was December. The technician said they cannot refill the medication because the December visit was a technician visit. They want my pet to come in for a preventative test to refill his trazodone. That's a lie. There's no such test. I remember talking to the vet in December because he told me most dog allergies are food related. He gave me a handout and since my dog has been vegetarian, it's decreased his itching 90%. I'm so thankful he educated me on that. Their prices are high. I paid for 90 pills of trazodone with them and Chewy charges $21 for 120 pills. The great thing, I've bought a bark collar and he's doing better. I've cut down his trazodone to one pill nightly & Benadryl every morning. I think I might just give him 12.5 mg Benadryl twice a day & keep his bark collar on when I'm working from home & nightly. The great thing about this place is the vet & they have Sunday hours but the technicians are unreliable & unfriendly. read more

I brought my little Pomeranian here today in short notice for her eye issue she has been dealing with and let me just say the whole staff was so kind, super friendly and supportive! Even from the first phone call, to walking in, talking to front desk and the veterinarian was amazing. They were extremely informative and targeted the areas my baby really needed. I truly felt like not only do they care about your animals, but they care about you as well here. I would highly recommend this place and will be coming back here. Happy I found them! Lower cost for the specialist than at other vets even though it was the same specialist. Open seven days a week and expert care. Dr David explained the surgery procedure and why it was the best option better than other vets. They are our new and favorite pet care people. We were freaking out after our cat Bear dislocated his femur. After the first visit to an expensive vet we got a second opinion from Nova animal hospital at way more reasonable prices. We were able to be seen right away on a weekend after calling about 15 other vets with no availability or no qualified vet on the weekend. Great facility and staff. They scheduled me for an appointment, sent a reminder about said appointment to confirmed said appointment. However upon taking off work and arriving on time their location was closed, during listed open hours. There was zero attempt to contact me prior, or any posted materials to explain why they were closed during posted business hours. This is a great location for folks looking to kill a day and lose some money, not for professional animal care. read more

Came here with one of my three dogs for a second opinion on my new adoptions ears. My appointment was asked to be pushed due to an emergency (no problem) So I arrived at my scheduled time. 4:30. got checked in filled in paperwork, then was notified the Vet wasn't even in the practice yet (uh) and that it'll be another 15-20 minutes. (I had already taken off work at this point so I was in it for the long haul) Two other appointments arrive at this time, and are checked in and placed into two other rooms. 30 minutes after I was checked in 5:05 at this time, the vet arrives. (the room has trash and discarded tops of syringes and vaccine wrappers along the window sill and on the exam table) He then informs me he is going to be attending to another appointment and it'll only be another 5. (at this point I'm pretty annoyed.) 10 minutes pass and I just take my three dogs and leave. ---- Not really a good look for someone with 3 (upcoming 4) rescue dogs. But sure, go ahead, get that 15 minute bordatella shot done instead of attending to me whos been waiting for 50 minutes. Is this place new? I spend a lot of time around the rescue circles and we talk about vets, I've never heard of them, the only reason I checked them out was due to a flyer for a free second opinion, which i was then notified was only for healthy animals... why would i need a second opinion on a healthy animal? As someone who has lived in this area for coming up on 10 years and has visited quite a few vets. This CORPORATE vet I would not recommend, the vet techs were nice but they didn't really seem to know what they were doing. (one disappeared for a thermometer and left the other vet tech holding my dog for 10 minutes while she yucked it up on the phone. I'm assuming this was so they could charge me for the visit claiming they did something) 0/5 stars, no services were rendered and it cost me taking time off of work to sit around in a dirty exam room to wait for a vet with terrible triage skills. WOULDN'T TRUST MY ANIMALS HERE. read more

I was very pleased with Dr. David and Kai. They were both kind and compassionate. Dr. David assured us we were doing the right thing with such a difficult decision. 16 1/2 years had finally taken it's toll on our border terrier Maverick and old age finally caught up with him and we felt it was time to allow him the dignity of passing quietly. He was sweet in his old age but blind, having trouble standing and had stopped eating. The vet we had been using had retired and we were not really happy with the new vet. We found Nova Animal Hospital and chose them for our final vet visit with Maverick. They gave my family all the time we wanted and made this last visit with Maverick a blessing. I can't speak to how they are in other situations but they were wonderful with us on our first and only visit. read more

After recently moving to the Ashburn area from Alexandria, I needed to find a new veterinarian. While searching and comparing prices, I decided to go with Nova Animal Hospital. Not only were they reasonable in their prices, they were also 15min away. Dr. Moghal was very friendly and courteous. No one was at the front desk upon me arriving and within few min Dr. Moghal came out to greet me and immediately made me feel welcomed with his conversations. Although my appointment was to get my cats vaccination updated, he recommended I also do the dental cleaning treatment for my cat after performing first visit checkup. Dr. Moghal and team were able to do the dental cleaning and vaccination updates all within an hour. Caitlin and Ellie were both very helful and understanding. I highly recommend Nova Animal Hospital! Fairly new and are welcoming new clients. One of the best experiences I've had in all the years and my cat is happy! read more

THANK YOU!! Dr. David saved our precious Bella Bianca's life the other day. His diagnosis and treatment has brought her back to life after a couple days of puking and pooping blood. We are continuing the medicine for a couple more days but already she has began to eat and drink almost normal and has been begging me to throw her toy for her again!
