My 2018 Ram truck was stolen, and I began searching for a replacement. After finding a truck (2016 Ram 2500 4x4) I liked online, I coordinated with Herrnstein Chrysler through Cars.com on Friday, November 29, 2024, I sent an email to the dealership to schedule a test drive. The following morning, I was contacted by Austin, a dealership employee, and he informed me that the dealership closed at 6 pm. I told him I would need about 3-4 hours to drive there, and Austin confirmed that it would be fine. I live in Louisville, KY. At 2:17 pm that same day (Saturday, 30 November 2024), I received a text from Austin asking if I was still coming to test drive the 2016 Ram 2500 4x4. I actually had just arrived at the dealership and let him know I was there. However, as I drove around the lot, I couldn't find the truck. When I went to the office, I was informed that the vehicle had already been sold earlier that day. Furthermore, they seemed unaware that I was coming to test drive it, and they offered to show me other vehicles instead. Understandably and unfortunately, I got upset and did not react well. I had just driven 3.5 hours to get there on a holiday weekend, only to experience a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I stormed out of the building, furious about the wasted time and effort. After leaving the office I sat in my car for a while, looking up other dealerships in the area, that's when the police knocked on my window. I guess, one of the male employees got nervous and had an accident and got sent home. Dealership management called the police, concerned about my outburst. The officer informed me that the dealership wanted to avoid escalation and had requested that I leave the lot. I explained my side of the story to the officer and left without further incident. In my many years of car shopping and buying, I've never been treated like this before. I will never return to Herrnstein Chrysler, and based on my experience with them, I strongly advise others to avoid doing business with them also.

I had a $4600 repair done on my Cummins and they broke the parking brake cable when they pulled the cab off. They refuse to fix it unless I pay, claiming "they found it broke". Only a moron would believe that. I released the brake to drive it over there. So, they would have me believe that in the 5 mile drive over that the cable was severed with no other damage in the area. Get real. Also, they replaced my serpentine belt without my approval. They took that $100 off after I informed them that I had a new belt under the back seat ready to go if the one on there failed before it was due. Find another mechanic, I know there are trustworthy ones out there; I'm just new to the area and didn't know where to go.

He told us THAT WAS NOT AN OPTION, and WE HAD TO FINANCE WITH NOURSE. Upon reading our lease agreement, it clearly stated we could pay cash + any necessary fees at the lease termination. We contacted Dutro Nissan in Zanesville, OH and their finance department was honest with us and said that YES, a cash buyout is possible and that many dealerships are being dishonest with customers regarding buyouts in order to make money off of the financing. When I contacted Nourse to let them know we would be buying the lease out through Dutro, the salesman first tried to say that the financing was how Nourse "was choosing" to do things - THERE IS NO CHOICE WHEN YOU HAVE A CONTRACT STATING YOU HAVE TO TAKE A CASH PAYMENT. He followed that up by saying I was ruining "a good relationship over something so petty". Again, I - the customer, who was paying for a vehicle - was being PETTY over the fact that I 1) was blatantly lied to and the Nourse Nissan enterprise, and; 2) wanting to pay LESS money to buyout my used vehicle. A year ago, I would have recommended Nourse, now - I would definitely do not. Attempting to take advantage of your customers to pad YOUR bottom line, not just dishonest, but outright LYING to customers, and following it up with name calling.....Nourse will never see our business again.

I was not given time to explain things nor did I even want to after the eye roll and shrug. The general tone of his voice made me feel less than. Top it off with the body language, I could not get out of there fast enough. Unfortunately once again I have to go back to this dealership for repairs. Parts were not available and need to be ordered. But due to the past two experiences here, my husband will be taking over. If you wish to continue to treat customers this way, especially women, I will not ever allow you to do it with me. My father and husband were not raised this way. I know my worth. But unfortunelty, going forward with this location, I can not handle my own business and instead have to send my husband in.

The salesman told me that because there wasn't a spare, the vehicle was equipped with "Run Flat Tires." This was not true. I was driving home on Mother's Day with my wife and 3 kids (Infant, 3, and 6 years old), and had a total blowout of a Bridgestone tire on the front passenger side. I called AAA, and when the wrecker arrived, the tire was inspected, and I was told that it wasn't a "Run Flat but just a regular tire. I had the minivan towed to a tire dealership, and they inspected it. It had normal tread wear with only 20k miles, and said, "There was no reason this tire should have blown out." The bottom line, I feel the product was misrepresented by the salesman telling me it had a safety feature of Run Flat b/c of it not having a spare. Also, according to the tire shop, this model of Bridgestone tire was recalled, and I wasn't notified by the dealership of the recall. This leads me to believe Norse removed the Run Flats and replaced them with a regular tire.
