I truly cannot say enough amazing things about Lauren. Going into birth as a first-time mom, I was…read moreabsolutely terrified. From the very beginning, Lauren made me feel safe, supported, and completely cared for. She has such a calming presence, and she gave me the confidence I didn't even know I had. Lauren was with us every step of the way--starting months before I delivered--helping us prepare for labor and delivery with thoughtful education, helpful advice, and so much reassurance. When it came time for labor, she advocated for me in ways I will forever be grateful for. Her expertise not only helped move my labor along more efficiently, but she also helped me manage the discomfort in ways that made such a difference. Both my husband and I felt so thankful she was by our side. Having our first baby felt a lot less overwhelming because Lauren was there guiding and supporting us through it all. She even came to visit after our son was born, which meant so much to us. I genuinely cannot imagine having another baby without her. If you're considering hiring Lauren--do it. I cannot recommend her more highly. She is an incredible doula and an even more incredible person.

We worked with Merrie and could not have been happier with her support. From the very beginning,…read moreshe was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. We originally planned to give birth at a birth center, but at 36 weeks our plans had to change due to complications. During what could have been an overwhelming and stressful time, Merrie was an absolute anchor. She was always available by phone or text and took the time to walk us through every option, helping us understand and process what our medical providers were recommending. When our plans shifted suddenly and we felt backed into a corner about what to do next, Merrie helped us calmly and thoughtfully navigate all of our choices so we could choose the path that felt right for us. Merrie's experience truly shows it felt like she had seen it all before and could clearly explain what might happen and what options we would have in each scenario. Her calm, grounding presence made her such a comforting person to have in the birthing room, and I always felt complete trust in her guidance and support. No matter what direction we chose, she was fully there for us. Her support didn't stop at birth. She continued to help us postpartum, offering guidance on babywearing, breastfeeding, and adjusting to life with a newborn. We felt so supported every step of the way. I truly cannot recommend Merrie highly enough. If you are looking for a doula who is compassionate, experienced, steady, and deeply supportive, Merrie is the best.

Magical experience and very thorough healthcare for myself and my newborn. I hope I can have…read moreanother homebirth with Elizabeth! Being a doctor myself I can not say enough to support and promote Elizabeth. This was my 2nd homebirth the first being when we lived in CA. Now being 42 I had a few more check ups and personal health concerns due to age but I felt like I had the most thoughtful, and caring approach to my pregnancy as well as a very comprehensive medical approach so that all of my questions and concerns were answered. Elizabeth is incredible! Intuitive and a great teacher. I heard her voice all through my birth process reminding me of tips and tricks she taught in our visits and birth class. The way she educated me, and our family, about the whole process kept me grounded, strong, healthy and resilient right up to our birth! Somewhat even more important was the care she gave me and my newborn for up to 8 weeks AFTER the baby was born. Meticulous check ups of my new babe, cardiac function, lungs, weigh ins and all the screening tests.... and gave me special attention with some latching issues around initially very painful breastfeeding, and a persistent cough I had at the time. I am so grateful for having Elizabeth in my life and now a part of my family! I am so honored she guided my family and I through this process. She is AMAZING!

The ER physician misdiagnosed the symptoms as 'psychosis' and arranged for me to be placed on an M1 hold and transferred to Cedar Springs Hospital psychiatric institution in Colorado Springs later that day. This assessment was not competent and was gravely in error. Two days later, on July 23, 2025, I was transferred to the UC Memorial Health Center ER in Colorado Springs by ambulance from Cedar Springs Hospital and placed under intensive care due to asphyxiation from choking on vomit during tonic-clonic seizures. The staff at Cedar Springs claimed I had fallen and hit my head at their facility, which my care team at Memorial Hospital was able to find no evidence of. I was put on a ventilator and a tracheal tube was inserted. By that point I already had pneumonia. To quote an MD from the Memorial Hospital case notes on July 23, "The specific organ or organ systems failed or in danger of failing were Cardiovascular, Neurological, and Respiratory." To quote his colleague on July 24, "Patient's condition is life-threatening and without ongoing intervention would deteriorate." A third Physician on July 26 noted, "BH [Behavior Health] evaluated him and he is NOT gravely disabled and does not meet any M1 hold criteria," and, "This pt [patient] has Epilepsy." This was the neurologist who observed the tonic-clonic seizures on EEG. I was discharged from Memorial Hospital and sent home later that day. Respiratory failure and tonic-clonic seizure are known to cause permanent death of brain tissue and irreversible injury to the brain. They should have just sedated me and put me on EEG, that's not hard or expensive. But I guess then they don't get to bill the insurance for as much. Would not recommend.

It took a month to close the finger wound which was not a good outcome of my poor choice. This winter I had a worse but similar insult to the same finger so I did go to the ER and their efficient care of the finger allowed it to heal properly. This time we made the same choice for a smaller ct on a different finger and it has healed extremely well. From the moment I arrived, bloody hand wrapped , I was treated efficiently and politely, from register g window to assessment to treatment. Clerical staff and medical staff are well trained. On 1 visit, I actually needed an MD but the most recent used a PA who did a fine job. The various techs who were used to clean the wounds as well as remove stitches later were also efficient and accurate at task. I am lucky to have this fairly near by, though not as close as when BCH had the facility right in town. Back then it was a much shorter distance for my family, especially when transporting one of my children. But progress requires more and different space and with this facility accessible to a few highways it is better for the greater community that has moved to the suburbs of Boulder. Since I have good insurance and have used this facility in the past. They can process my emergencies quite quickly. There were other patients in line too, some with far greater injuries so appropriate that they were taken even more quickly and were served by the discs. Broken ribs from bicycle incidents have been other cases with priority both times. Such a Boulder situation so be careful out there!
