This bar was awesome! With no reservation we waited just a couple minutes where we were seating in some classic cleather chairs. The ambiance is great inside the small cozy bar, however could use some more music. Most importanly, the cocktails were superb and so fun. Every cocktail was 12 Euros, and each cocktail comes with such character. The cocktails are fun, adventurous, tasty, and strong! Worst experience ever. I must preface by saying my husband and I travel the world and appreciate good customer service WHEREVER we go, as most people do when spending their hard-earned money. Before heading to Milano, I'd done quite a bit of research on craft cocktail/mixology bars. NF landed on my list. Bad decision. 1. We waited over an hour for an indoor seat - TOTALLY OK except, three couples before us that shared that "outdoor seating worked for them" were whisked inside whenever an indoor seat became available. 2. Once inside: it WREAKED of a hard-boiled egg smell - in all fairness, maybe a drink ingredient - I digress. There was NO MUSIC playing to create any type of vibe - elevator music or punk rock or even a repeat of the Baby Shark theme song would've been nice. 3. Service: The WORST. All the waiters took their time with taking orders and generally looked annoyed whenever u asked a question. Not welcoming at all. 4. The drinks: rule of thumb, never present cocktails in a special way, just to have the taste fall flat. My husband ordered a very well-presented, 3-layer tiki-inspired drink ... we're pretty sure two of the tiers were just fruit juices though it was described as 3 great drinks in one. I ordered a CO2 drink that looked nice but had ZERO flavor - only that of absinthe. When I mentioned that I'd like another drink to a guy who was not our waiter, it took 20mins for our actual waiter to come over to see what I'd prefer. By that time, I was disappointed and ready to go. Note: The waiter took so long to return to the table, we had to walk up to him, as he hung out by the bar, in order to close the check (in which case, we still paid €12 for each drink that we did not consume - without so much as a small apology or blink of an eye). My advice: SKIP THIS PLACE. We visited WAY BETTER places that will leave you IN LOVE WITH MILANO. This simply isn't it. read more

Somehow with every drink I try at Nottingham Forest, I finish it and say, "That was the best drink I have ever had." NF has been on the top 50 bars in the world for a decade straight and I have a hard time believing that there are 49 bars better than this gem. Their menu deserves a Pulitzer. The aesthetic, an Oscar for set design and the presentation an A+++. Even if the drinks sucked, Nottingham would get 4 stars. I've tried the bathtub, CSI NY with the capsule that melts in your mouth, sweet cloud, rhino, and the e.r sweet. The ER Sweet and Sweet Cloud are my favorites. The ER Sweet tastes like candy and the Cloud has delicious alcoholic peach whipped cream. Expect a wait given its size (approximately 40 seats). I've waited around an hour each time, but, if you leave Milan without going, you are a fool. Go earlier for €10 drinks for happy hour. Otherwise, the €12 is well worth it for the best drinks of your life. read more

If you order off the menu of their proven, crowd-pleasing drinks, you'll likely get something you like. After my first drink (from their menu, which was good) I asked for a slight variant of a classic cocktail, which was butchered and undrinkable. I asked for an exchange for another drink, at which point they said it wasn't possible to exchange a drink. Different from what I'm used to in these kinds of places but still, not a total catastrophe. We went to get up and pay the bill, both the original and the potential drink I wanted to exchange for were on the bill. Ok now I started to feel like I was being ripped off. They eventually took one drink off the bill but I still left feeling like we were being swindled. These kinds of places should stand behind their drinks. I won't be coming back. Save your money and find a place with bartenders who know how to make drinks, not just follow a recipe. read more

This is such an amazing bar but also an amazing experience. As tourists visiting Milan, we went on a Friday evening around 7 however was seated in a cute alcove which were in multiple nooks throughout the bar. From the quirky and international decor to the menu everything had charm. Our drinks were both creative and super strong( a lot of drinks have absinthe in it). Also I'm true Italian fashion, they provided small bites randomly from Caviar finger sandwiches to meatballs and pizza focaccia bites . Coming from New York this bar topped many I've frequented and the presentation is perfect. We tried three drinks the bathtub, a CSI and a boxed one. Wish I came here every night but for sure will return next time I'm in Milan. Do yourself a favor and make this a must see. Fantastic experience and cocktails in ways I never imagined. Had a flower cocktail, a dry martini with liqeur bubbles, a bathtub and a rocket drink. Extremely intereseting to see whats out there in the drink world. The guys at Nottingham forest knows what they're doing and I applaud them! Molecular drinks works. I really loved the drinks though, there was such a fun drink called sex in the city - it was strawberry champagne served in a heel with a condom! Very fun drinks and rated one of the top 50 bars in the world, but they really need to improve on their service. They brought a lot of olives and corn nuts, but they kept forgetting to check on our table and be cordial... My friend got the beach stone, which had an actual stone in it! Exciting and cute. Each drink was a very detailed description on story, presentation, and ingredients so its worth taking a few minutes at first to read thru before you make your selection. The atmosphere is very cool, relaxed and welcoming, no one seems to be rushing you out unlike most bars I've been to in NYC. Expectations crushed. Ok so its a tourist trap, but yes still worth checking out for experience. Its a theatrical bar, not a quality mixologist heaven like perceived with reviews given. Its fun to bring a couple friends and order various mystery drinks to see what fabulous garnishments you each end up with, but thats about it. I was very excited to go to this bar, as I saw pictures of extravagant drinks online. However, my group of 6 waited over 1 hour while 3 groups got seated before us. We understood that our group was larger but the Nottingham Forest management paid no regard to the order of the queue. Our local hosts suggested this place to us and we were so grateful. It's no joke that this place is popular. We got there on a Friday night right when it opened and snagged a nice seat, but it was already pretty packed and people were stuck waiting not long after we got our spots. Probably the most amazing cocktail experience of my life. I used to live in Milan and attended this place quite frequently. If you are into mixology, this is the place for you with quite decently priced drinks. Keep in mind to stand in line at about 5:30pm in order to get a table inside as it's small. The doorman is... quite rude to say the least but once you're in, it's definitely worth the poor treatment (definitely not trying to justify it though as I think rude treatment for a place of this standard is inexcusable). Arriving 1 hour before closing and the bouncer telling us that they are closed due to regulations, but at the same time they are announcing on their own page that they are open until 2 am... It was the worst experience ever. We went there as 3 friends and they didnt let us pay separately. We insisted and the environment became so tense that they tried to make a contact with me. They also seized our credit card and insisted on not giving back. At the end we called the cops and they forced them to divide the check at last. Gimmicky cocktails for cheesy fun. Think I had a Miami CSI cocktail or something after asking the waiter to recommend a drink with lime in it. It came with ingredients separated, including a novelty plastic syringe to combine ingredients. With the bright pink food coloring, I was afraid it would be to sweet of a drink, but it wasn't. The wow factor seems to be all in the presentation, not necessarily the taste. Friends had drinks in novelty glasses that looked like a woman's stiletto, a skull, and a goblet.
