Okay I know what you're all thinking-- is a BYO Charcuterie place worth it? Well hopefully after…read moreyou read my review you'll at least be convinced that this place is 100% worth it! I've been wanting to try something like this for a while and I am lucky that I stumbled upon the perfect spot. Onto the food! So there are two options: a small and a large box. The large box features 3 cheeses of your choice, whereas the small is only 1. You get the same amount of meats and sides in both boxes, so we decided to go all out and get the large box. The employee there let us sample everything and guided us through the process to ensure what we wanted was represented in our board. We chose the Truffle, Brie, and Blueberry Goat Cheese. For our meat, we went with the Prosciutto. For our sides, we got Cornichons, Mixed Olives, Marcona Almonds, Berry Jam, and Dried Apricots. The board also came with crackers. The most heavenly bite was spreading the berry jam on a cracker and topping it with brie and prosciutto. It was creamy, melt in your mouth perfection! The Truffle cheese was also delicious and had a pretty strong truffle flavor. The blueberry flavored goat cheese was also delicious with a subtle hints of blueberry and it paired so well with the dried apricots. The pickled items and nuts were also super fresh and yummy. And you get so much of each item, like so much cheese, meat, and sides you can't even think to finish it in one sitting. Sometimes when establishments like this pop up you find yourself wondering is this really worth it? Well I would say with full confidence that this place is. The portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, and the presentation is just adorable. You get exactly what you want in terms of charcuterie and you are guided by the employees to create memorable combinations.

I ordered the Honey Turkey on the hero sub. I wanted Salami but it was an additional charge. The sub was $12. The sub was a nice size and had good toppings. I tried Horace's during CLT Hot Chicken Week and I was really impressed! First of all, the chicken sandwich was massive. I'm telling you, huge. I have a hefty appetite and even I couldn't finish it all! The sauce had a ton of flavor. It wasn't too spicy, and the coleslaw complemented the spice perfectly. The bun held up to the sauciness of it all pretty well. The mac & cheese. I hated it. It was topped with a seasoning blend that was very oregano forward. I scraped that off and went for the mac underneath the weird seasonings. Otherwise, 10/10

A few months later their ice cream truck catered my in laws wedding in Ashville. I was informed they posted a photo of my kids on their IG so that's how I was able to find and follow them on IG. Saw them going live one day and determined i found the parking lot they were in. The wait was finally over and boy was it worth it! I couldn't decide what to get so I went with the Lemon Pepper BBQ with gas and fries. Never heard of that flavor so why not. The only way to describe it was to say I have about 6 wings, and fries with like 2 napkins and 2 packs of ketchup. I sat in my truck with the food on my lap about 30 yds from the food counter scarfing it all down. I didn't even want to stop to go get more ketchup or napkins they were so good. Next week, I'm hunting them down(or shooting them a DM on IG) to get that shrimp po boy! Oh and the ice cream...DAmN!!! It's good.

It was so good last year that we had to order again this year. It is a pricey tray, but it is well worth it as it serves a lot.
