Also im going to add afteer reading other reviews. No he does not have retail hours. But tbh i feel like this lets them focus and put everything they have into customer orders without being sidetracked by daily grind of baking showcase cookies, cupcakes etc that may or may not just end up in the garbage at the end of the day. I believe this makes them a SPECIALTY shop! Regardless of hours paul is always willing to meet at the shop to discuss and take customer orders if needed.

We were going out to eat this evening, and across the street from the restaurant was The Cheesecake Lady. We had seen the store opening - it's new to the West Ave location - and wanted to try it. We saw it was closing at 6, so we got a small cheesecake to go, before we went out to eat. It was very cold outside, so we put the cheesecake in the car. We went right home after dinner - we were anxious to try the cheesecake! I'm used to a cheesecake with a thicker consistency....this one was a much lighter texture - very creamy. Typically, I never really liked the lighter texture, as I've had all different kinds. My favorite is a plain cheesecake with a sour cream frosting. However, the taste of this cheesecake was superb - it was rich and flavorful - not too sweet. The deliciousness of the cheesecake compensated for its lighter texture. It was a nice surprise to have such an excellent tasting cheesecake so close by!

Treats that I selected: *refrigerated* I'm not a fan of cold pastries. The woman offered to heat it up, but I prefer room temperature. 1) Cookie butter pound cake. I don't think it was fresh. When I cut into it, it crumbled up. It was dry. I would have liked it if it was moist. 2)Sweet potato cheesecake muffin was the best out of the two. There was only a hint of sweet potato and hardly any cheese cake. The icing was good; they only gave a dollop. I wanted cinnamon rolls, but they were sold out. They make cinnamon rolls made on Wednesdays. I came back today, 4th October, when they first opened looking forward to tasting them, but they did not have them.
